Revert the update ### 1/5 — Horrible Update *2023-05-11* AWFUL!!! What in the world?! The new update is horrific and awful to use. I can no longer set priority over data plans, which stinks because my husband moves quite frequently with his deployments. The old app was great for us, and I do not see the reason for this new complicated update. You’re losing a customer due to the difficult app navigation, lack of description on data plans (like does your Europe’s plan include ALL of Europe???), and lack of control over setting my own dang data priority! ### 1/5 — I never Review *2023-05-07* Literally this app is unusable. Can’t reload data and so basically carrying around a useless brick. Fix your app and product people seriously. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-05-03* The latest app update is horrible. The user interface is now extremely confusing to use and I can no longer set priority over which data package I have purchased and want to use. This is going to cause me to lose around $50 of unused data. There’s no way around this by going to the desktop website, either. If it wasn’t broken to begin with, then why change out the entire app works? It almost makes me want to stop using TravelWifi altogether. If my husband didn’t depend on it for his deployment, we wouldn’t even be using it. As soon as we find a better alternative we will no longer be using because it has just become too difficult to navigate. ### 1/5 — Now I’m angry *2023-03-21, version 1.0.44* Spend $500 on a travel hotspot. It opens goes to the Home Screen then turns off. It is very overpriced and not worth it. Their customer service are not very knowledgeable in their products too, they promised to get back within 48 hours but I waited 3 days and still didn’t get any update. ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2022-08-23* I downloaded this in Europe to use while away from home. The app allowed me to purchase a 70gb plan but the plan never went into effect on my sapphire. Tried to use the help setting in the app and its a dead end because it won’t allow you to type a phone number in and therefore cannot get a representative to talk to. Lost my money, so hopefully my review helps you keep yours. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrendous Experience. *2024-07-15, version 3.3.6* I’m here in europe for about a week now with no wifi that I paid for because day 1 I can’t get ahold of any support agents, Day 2 I get in contact with a support agent and he’s having difficulty activating the service so he says he’ll send me an email so I can take it up with someone else. Day 3 I get no email and I try calling them again and I can’t get through to any support agents again. Day 4 same thing. Day 5 same thing. complete waste of $100 for the most insignificant service I’ve ever received. Extreme waste of time and money. I typically shy away from reviewing but this service has just sent me through so many loop holes from waiting minimum 10 minutes every time to get told there’s no agents to agents telling me they’ll email me and never emailing me anything. Completely revolting device and even worse support team. ### 1/5 — Major scam. Go elsewhere. *2024-06-28, version 3.3.3* They have no problem charging my card for service. I got this to stay out of the heat whenever I wanted to call my family and it only works outside. I can’t even get it to open it force quits all the time. I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed in the app. Not sure how this will affect my upcoming travels. The app itself is now clean ,has a better feel and extremely user friendly . Data consumption now shows as well as the remaining days ! Great job ! ### 5/5 — How to use *2023-01-15* Ok I’m not proof reading this don’t got time for all that. Ok this is how y’all use the app first off don’t use the travel Wi-Fi app to purchase the data. It doesn’t show up it doesn’t show up until ur in the country or just doesn’t work at all. So if u make the same mistake I did go on the website not the app go to customer service give me the screenshots and let them know but it will show up on the app. Basically they’ll fix it Jose S help me it was quick and easy. Know from now on when u buy data buy it from sapphire app and make sure u have your sapphire linked. Finally this rating is based off of service and what I went thru and how I got around. I do not know how good the service is. But it’s 4G so maybe good maybe bad😂 ### 2/5 — Not the best - should have read the reviews first *2025-08-03* I’ve not had good luck with travel Wi-Fi on this trip to the UK and Croatia. Coverage in London was OK but in the countryside. In Croatia, I struggle to get good coverage same as in London. I wrote to Support and they asked me to verify settings which I did. I replied that coverage was poor and the reply was let us know if everything is OK. So I replied that it wasn’t OK. The next reply was let us know if everything is OK. Thus Support wasn’t very helpful. ### 2/5 — eSIM don’t work after new update *2025-07-22* I am in Europe and the eSIM doesn’t work idk why it doesn’t it was fine yesterday before the update in app and then now I have no reception from the ESIM and idk how to fix it ### 2/5 — Duration of rent *2025-02-13, version 3.6.10* Why am I unable to rent a hotspot for a day when using the app? Im able to rent for a day when I’m using the browser, but my payment unfortunately could not get through. ### 2/5 — Unfair *2023-05-11* Since the latest changes the app has gotten worse. Service connection has gotten worse, and the ability to check data is worse contacting the helpdesk is worse. To type at all if you delete the app, reinstall or / and factory update your Sapphire the system crashes. ### 2/5 — Unusable *2023-04-07* App crashes constantly, nearly impossible to actually order data plans ### 2/5 — Not reliable. *2022-12-18* Their website doesn’t work for buying data so it says go tot the app but the app isn’t reliable either. Customer services says try another app but it’s a terrible experience to try and buy data. I wouldn’t have bought their device if I’d known it would be so hard to use. ### 2/5 — Needs major improvements *2022-05-25* The app provides no way to check data usage when using an third party SIM card on your sapphire. When attempting to go through the help tab on the app it doesn’t recognize the phone number window.
