### 2/5 — Get your act together

*2022-10-18, version 3.4.65*

This company wants to put on a modern and competent face, but they are not. The app is terrible. It took a whole 37 minute workout and logged it as happening the next day. The challenges make no sense. How are you going to start the challenge in the middle of the day? And then also not update the progress?
Why does the app constantly push me to connect to my wifi within the app, trying to skirt around my iOS settings? I understand it’s to update the actual treadmill’s firmware, but that is not clear and the whole interface to do it is sketchy, to say the least.

### 3/5 — Bad Customer Service

*2022-10-14, version 3.4.65*

I loved the Treadly treadmill when I first purchased it. I was worried about being sedentary during the pandemic and purchased it to walk during the working day. Pros: - Thin frame that fits below my desk - Movable hand rail so it can go below desk - App speed control so I don’t have to use the rail Cons: - App doesn’t synch steps in the challenges - Treadly is making noises after a year and the company only offers repairs at their shop somewhere in the east coast. Meaning, I have to ship the treadmill via mail. At that cost, I might as well buy a new treadmill. - Customer service is not helpful. They have different ways to contact them in the app, but they always tell you to send them an email and the help doesn’t solve the issue. - In app help is also lacking and the developers do not take issues seriously. In short, Treadly needs to hire a user experience design team to look at all aspects of their customer journey to understand the issues users are facing.

### 3/5 — I like Treadly, but…

*2022-10-12, version 3.4.64*

After only a month of use, the step counter is completely off. The counter seems to be missing 40% of my steps. The distance seems accurate but the steps are completely off and by a large margin. At first, the steps were recorded accurately and you could see the uptick in steps as you exercised. However after 1 month, its recording about 4/10 steps. The machine itself is good and does the job. I like the relative portability of it and the built in blue tooth speaker.

### 3/5 — Treadly itself good-Bluetooth technology on it horrible

*2022-10-01, version 3.4.64*

I want to give this a higher rating, but this machine can only be used manually. Plug it in and press the buttons on the handrail. No Bluetooth connection works which means the speaker on it is useless. Would love to hear what it sounds like. I have great internet and my Bluetooth works for connecting to everything I need except this machine. As long as you’re okay recording/calculating your work out results results manually or just relying on your Apple Watch for health info it’s all good.

### 3/5 — Steps not in sync

*2022-08-22, version 3.4.56*

I absolutely love the idea of the treadmill linking to phone and watch app. However the count on my treadmill, phone app and watch are not in sync. Further, it doesn’t connect to the activity with accurate information. Example, my Treadly app says I’ve completed 10,000 steps and my activity on my iPhone will say 3,000 steps. Probably because I’m typing and working, but since they are synced I’d like to see them talk better. Overall love being able to walk and store treadmill.

### 2/5 — The worst app

*2022-01-31, version 3.2.83*

Completely pointless and frustrating, it actually messes up my Health tracking because it is nearly impossible to dependably log my workouts. I should have just bought a cheap treadmill for the complete lack of app usability of this one. So frustrating. Fix the app or stop listing it as a selling feature for your otherwise VERY featureless treadmills! Buyers remorse bigtime.

### 4/5 — Apple health sync takes how long?

*2021-11-08, version 3.2.81*

Everything seems to be fine, except for not being able to sync my steps with Apple health.
Granted, I was under the impression the write settings were enabled, but they weren’t . I enabled them after a few sessions occured already, so how long is it supposed to take?

### 2/5 — Not designed to help achieve goals

*2021-09-20, version 3.2.81*

This app doesn’t do the basics very well but for some reason focuses on social media as if anyone wants a social media component to a walking treadmill.

1. Can’t properly sync steps to apple health. I’m walking while I type this and I have done 6,614 steps according to the treadmill and apple health shows 2,208. They have an article ‘why do my stats from Apple Watch not match my stats from treadly?’ That explains that yes, they are different but never actually answer the why question. As far as I can tell they don’t attempt to do that. This is lame. I have a goal of doing 12k steps per day and I don’t only walk on this treadmill. So what, am I supposed to do the math myself? Not cool.

2. Starting and stopping is slow and the speed resets every time. I use this under my standing desk and if I have to hop off for a second it always stops and takes me 30 seconds to get it back where I left off.

Meanwhile I’m seeing rando people suggested to me to be friends with, like come on I do not care about virtual walking friends I just want help lowering the friction to getting steps in while I work without needing to think about configurations.

### 3/5 — App Feature Request

*2021-06-13, version 3.2.36*

I’ve had the Treadly for about a week and so far like it very much. Currently the app doesn’t offer much advantage to me. I’m not really too interested in the social aspects of the app, but am more interested in being able to program a workout into the app and have it automatically control the treadmill. This feature is available in typical gym type treadmills and seems doable with the app. So in addition to setting the speed, you could also set the duration or distance. So for example, I would like to program the treadmill for a 3.5 mph workout for 10 minutes. Is this something that could be included in a future update? If the feature is already there, I’ve totally missed it.

### 1/5 — Multiple problems after update

*2021-06-10, version 3.2.33*

The most recent update to the app has caused many problems for me to the point that I’ve stopped using the app. Prior to the big change I had no problems. After the change, however my workout information inconsistently showed up in my history and the treadmill stops for no reason in the middle of my walk. It also stopped syncing with other health apps. It took me a few walks to realize the app was causing my problems so I just don’t use it. So far the treadmill doesn’t stop for no reason. I track my workout with other apps. I also don’t care for all the social settings that have taken over the Home Screen of the app. I just wanted something simple to track my workouts.

### 1/5 — 6/7/21 unable to verify app version

*2021-06-08, version 3.2.23*

This apps needs to be scraped and re-worked from the ground up. It miss steps, and if you get on and off- let's say for some water; there's a possibly of it restarting the whole process without any data saved. What's going on? Paid more for the treadly 2 for Bluetooth but I mean.. it's not working.

### 3/5 — Ehh..

*2021-05-24, version 3.2.23*

The first few times I used the app, I loved it. Reopened it again for the first time in about a month, I noticed about a week ago, that it is no longer registering my treadmill activities. My treadmill is showing 13k steps and the app is only show less than have of that. Another issue that I am having, is that it randomly shuts down. I can’t change my profile picture or create a group without it shutting down, and I have attempted both of these activities sever times. I love the app and think there is some pretty amazing potential there, but it’s just not functional to me and I’m using the 2020 ipad.

### 1/5 — Update even worse than previous version

*2021-05-04, version 3.2.10*

How is it possible that a rewrite is worse than the previous version, which was bad enough?

Before, the app forgot to stitch together sessions into one session, but at least it knew that all of the sessions should contribute to the daily goal.

The new app can’t even keep track of that. Not only does it lose the results of each session, when you pause or leave the app, but it also now is forgetting to add sessions to your daily goal.

Over 2 hours, with a break in between, the app went from 0% to 14% daily goal, then when I came back and resumed, it went back to 8%, losing some of the progress from the first session.

Would return the unit if I could since the software is completely unusable.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pretty disappointed

*2022-11-18, version 3.4.65*

Loved the idea of being able to use my phone as a remote and tracking my progress throughout the day. Sadly I haven’t been able to do either of those things very consistently. The Bluetooth connection is horrible and disconnects any time you leave the app (even without closing it ) and you can forget about it tracking steps, calories lost or distance traveled. These functionalities simply do not work. Pretty useless app unfortunately.

### 1/5 — Does not accurately show progress.

*2022-10-29, version 3.4.65*

The app does not always show the workout I just finished. It may show zero steps even after I verify the app and Treadly are online and connected. It is linked to my iPhone health app but it does not load that information unless I reboot my phone a few times. At the very least the app should accurately record the workout I just completed on the Treadly

### 1/5 — Piece of crap

*2022-09-15, version 3.4.56*

With a doubt the worst treadmill I’ve ever used. It’s extremely loud. I wanted to use this as a treadmill under my standing desk but it is way too loud to use while in a meeting. The belt vibrates terribly, making it uncomfortable to walk. Way too expensive for such a poor product. Extremely disappointed. Also, the app is extremely slow.

### 1/5 — Connecting treadmill to Bluetooth can break it

*2022-04-13, version 3.2.86*

Absolutely do not do this. Almost had to mail it back once, but luckily I was able to reconnect to the Bluetooth.

Decent update to the app seems to have broken the treadmill again. I cannot reconnect my phone to the treadmill with Bluetooth and i have the same unresponsive treadmill that I had before.

Total disaster.

### 1/5 — App not synching to Treadmill

*2021-12-16, version 3.2.83*

Is anyone else having trouble synching the app to the actual treadmill?!?! I’ve tried dozens of times. Why does it keep saying “failed connection” when I’ve done all the steps correctly. I can’t even try the app that I paid more money for! I’m furious! If anyone has any tips to connect the app, that would be great. Thanks

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2021-08-30, version 3.2.81*

I bought the Treadly 2 instead of the Treadly 1 bc I wanted to be able to walk while I worked. I am unable to do that bc the stupid app does NOT work!!! The app cannot find my network. It tells me it can’t detect it — in my office —where I work — with my laptop, printer, two cell phones, Alexa devices, etc. That is, multiple networked devices. It is clearly an issue with this app. If I can’t get the treadmill to work with the app, I have to use the treadmill with the handlebar “up”, which means that I can’t put it under my desk, and I can’t walk while I work. I can only use this as a basic treadmill. As a basic treadmill, it’s ok, but that’s not why I bought it.

Save yourself some money.

### 1/5 — Does not track data

*2021-07-30, version 3.2.38*

I wanted the app to be able to track steps and miles. Only one session is showing. It is also not the easiest to use while on the treadmill. The controls could be placed better. The other features on the app are gimmicky and not very useful to the average user. Treadly please update the app to better track your progress and have a more user friendly interface for controls.

### 1/5 — Absolutely terrible.

*2021-07-27, version 3.2.38*

I’ve owned a Treadly since nov. 2020– the app looks pretty..but itis horrible. I’ve written in for support multiple multiple times…. They’re speedy in responses, but ultimately I’m still having the same issue—July 2021 it still isn’t logging all of my sessions. Absolutely not worth the extra $100… massively disappointed. I’d like my $100 back. It’s such a shame, because the treadmill is actually really nice.

### 1/5 — Treadly connects to Bluetooth but not app.

*2021-06-23, version 3.2.38*

I love my treadly, but have never been able to connect to this app. I am Bluetooth connected because the speaker connects just fine to my music and my Bluetooth says it’s connected to treadly. However, I have never been able to use the app because it says ‘no treadly found’. I have unplugged the treadly, reinstalled the app, done the pause button truck and the 3 steps on the treadly to activate and still nothing. Which is unfortunate because it then can’t connect to my Apple Watch.

### 1/5 — Save your money

*2021-06-17, version 3.2.38*

I’ve had several treadmills as a former marathoner. Treadly has poor configuration - does not have the correct speed calibrated to time or steps taken. The app does not work with the device like they say it does. The oil sign came on after total 4 hours of walking and took serious research to figure out how to fix it. The oil sign is still on and will not reset. I completely regret this buy!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best thing that ever happened to my WFH routine.

*2023-01-31, version 3.4.65*

I love this app and the treadly, keep improving the experience!! This is the start of a huge trend I can feel it. Even my coworkers are looking into it, I’ve sent the treadly website link so many times and now I know a couple people who now have their own!

### 5/5 — Worst App Ever!

*2022-04-26, version 3.2.86*

The speed control never stays connected! Never records my workouts. The speakers are always connected but not the actual speed control. I specifically purchased this so that my workouts would sync to my apps. Very disappointed- would not recommend.

### 5/5 — Pairing won’t stay on

*2021-12-05, version 3.2.83*

So far, I love the Treadly Pro. However, it disconnects from my app every time I turn off the machine, and then I have to go through the pairing again. Do I have to do this EVERYTIME I use the treadmill?

### 5/5 — Love

*2021-09-11, version 3.2.81*

I know it is a bit pricey but I haven’t missed a work out since I bought it! So easy to set up and take down👌❤️❤️❤️

### 5/5 — Not logging steps

*2021-05-05, version 3.2.10*

The version is terrible. No steps to claim so basically useless. At least allow manual entry for when the app screws up...

### 5/5 — Love my Treadly

*2020-12-08, version 3.1.16*

Treadly is fantastic, I have it for over a year and it works without any issues. I enjoy the jogs daily. I do not miss the rainy jogs or the adrenaline rush when someone behind you and the scary thoughts run through your head. Treadly is amazing!

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2020-09-18, version 3.0.89*

I couldn’t connect to the app, Treadly tech support helped to fix this issue. It turned out that there are two modes to pair with the device: 1. Using pause button, 2. Using the belt.
My treadmill was in the belt pairing mode. To connect to the phone using the belt mode, one should tap 3 times the front of the belt, this will allow the app to connect to the device.

### 5/5 — All my stats with a click of a button!

*2020-03-30, version 2.0.23*

It literally has all of my workout stats right there with a click of a button. Slow down, speed up. Different modes. Man I love this!

The pairing is simple- and the app walks you right through it.

It’s also incredible accurate when referring to the steps I’ve taken, even more so than my start wat h and iPhone health app!

Wish they could replicate this app with every piece of workout equipment I own!

### 4/5 — App is good

*2022-12-10, version 3.4.65*

My Treadly seems to connect really well with the app. However, recently when I tried to reset the oil warning on my Treadly through the app, it just doesn’t work.
I’ve tried hard resetting the treadmill. I’ve also tried pressing the Stop button for 5 seconds. The app says it’s reset, but the step count doesn’t change 🤷🏻‍♀️

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2022-01-03, version 3.2.83*

The app mostly works and doesn’t crash. However, I wish I had the option to start my Treadly with a dedicated remote. I’d love to see Shortcuts integration so I can start the treadmill from an iOS shortcut!
