### 2/5 — Doesn’t do what I want

*2024-01-26, version 1.45*

I was hoping the app would allow me to send the correct pace from the treadmill to Workout rather than relying on the terrible gyro guestimator that Workout uses by default. This app doesn’t do that. Rather it lets you use your phone to display the bad pace data from the watch as though that would somehow be more helpful than the display on the treadmill. I guess if you had a treadmill with absolutely no display, it might be better than nothing. I have nothing to say about the broadcast to zwift functionality as I didn’t use that.

### 2/5 — Zwift issue

*2023-02-05, version 1.45*

Used to work fine for me with Zwift and that was very convenient. However it does not work anymore since a few days. I can pair the app in zwift but the speed is not detected so my character is not moving. Please fix it!

### 3/5 — Has stopped working with zwift

*2022-05-11, version 1.45*

This worked really well with zwift running but recently stopped. Maybe due to a zwift update?

### 2/5 — Could be easier to use.

*2022-03-21, version 1.45*

I can’t figure out how to change the speed defaults , so I need to and I guess I’ve just thrown away 7$ unless I can figure it out. This could be easier to use.

### 4/5 — Doesn’t work with new Zwift update

*2022-02-16, version 1.45*

I loved this app so much, please update to work with the new update

### 4/5 — Few things

*2021-08-14, version 1.44*

Would be great if we did not have to tick on Agree everytime, I also can not get rid of the Iphone arm band in Zwift by using the app, otherwise works perfectly!

### 2/5 — Doesn’t really work

*2021-08-10, version 1.44*

I had high hopes for this app, but it doesn’t deliver, at least not for me.

It transmits information very intermittently. Whether on the manual speed mode or the phone accelerometer mode, there is a hefty lag in updating the speed on Zwift. (I’ve tried with two different iPhones, and two different WiFi networks, and it makes no difference which I use.)

The phone accelerometer mode is largely useless: the speed recorded bears little relation to how the phone is actually moving.

(I don’t have an Apple Watch so can’t evaluate that mode.)

The most unforgivable element, though, is the disclaimer, which has to be tapped away every time you try to change modes. Since you may be putting the phone in your pocket or otherwise turning off the screen while running with it, this means you are constantly tapping through the disclaimer. This certainly raises your heart rate but not in a healthy way.

Nintendo did this perfectly with the jogging element of Wii Fit. Put the controller in your pocket and the on-screen character matches your running speed quite adequately. Why is it that, fourteen years on, it seems to be impossible to replicate this simplicity and reliability with Zwift or anything else?

### 3/5 — Does not transfer right speee

*2021-01-31, version 1.44*

I set a speed of 2 in the app but my avatar in game shows 1.5. I’ve tried switching between imperial and metric but even when app and game both are set to miles the speeds are way off.

### 5/5 — Perfect for Zwift runners

*2020-09-06, version 1.43*

Exactly what I was looking for!
Records correct speed and even incline using my cheap old treadmill.
Thank you.

### 5/5 — Worked with zwift on Apple TV and 2018 iPad Pro

*2020-06-28, version 1.43*

Worked as expected. Ran the app on my iPhone 6S and paired it with zwift on Apple TV and on 2018 iPad Pro. Not sure why other reviews are saying it doesn’t work.

### 5/5 — Great for Apple Watch connection to zwift

*2020-06-02, version 1.43*

Just thought I would share for anyone that uses Apple Watch for Zwift running.

I was having heaps of issues connecting through the Companion App (constantly disconnecting, speeds all over the place), then I downloaded the app Treadmill Smart Speed, and it works perfectly! Constant connection, speed matches up with my treadmill pretty well and as a bonus it even gives cadence.

This app really is a game changer for using your Apple Watch for zwift. Definitely worth the couple of dollars for the app!

Cheers

### 5/5 — Solved the biggest problem running in Zwift.

*2020-05-31, version 1.43*

I love running on Zwift and it has made an incredible impact on my running, but I get so frustrated with the footpod, and even the new treadmill attachment. They dramatically understate or overstate my speed, and get further and further off as the run goes on. I was actually going to buy a new smart treadmill so that I could get consistent numbers when I found this. That has been so helpful and saved me a ton of money.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-10-04, version 1.45*

I loaded the app on my iPhone 11 but it won’t enter the speed on Zwift. I was really looking forward to this as a solution but no matter what speed you set it to the reading on Zwift is 0.0. No real troubleshooting information either.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Connect to Zwift

*2020-06-28, version 1.43*

I just downloaded this app, but when I try to connect to Zwift, it can’t find my phone to connect. I am using a Windows Surface Pro 3 and an iPhone 6S, which were not identified as restricted devices. If I can get this to work, I am sure that my rating would increase.....

### 5/5 — This is working fine as of Nov 2024

### 5/5 — 反応が遅い

*2023-11-23, version 1.45*

iPhone arm band モードで腕を振り始めても、反応するのに8秒〜10秒かかります。腕の振り始めから反応できるように改善いただくと嬉しいです。よろしくお願いいたします。

### 5/5 — It Worked Great for me!

*2023-08-05, version 1.45*

For $5 I’m now able to walk on Zwift!

Do to mobility issues I find it very difficult to walk over 1 mph. This means normal trackers have not worked for me on Zwift. By being able to manually control to speed information transmited to Zwift I was able to get my avatar to slowly move around Watopia. This is huge for me. Thank you.

If you have similar issues getting onto Zwift I highly recommend giving this a try.

### 5/5 — Perfect solution to a frustrating problem

*2023-05-23, version 1.45*

It’s little apps like this that still add value to the App Store experience. Small developers creating solutions that big companies overlook or don’t want to implement. Had a small issue understanding the setup process so contacted the developer who was only too happy to provide a detailed walkthrough which actually worked. It’s only a few dollars and provides a simple solution that would otherwise need expensive hardware purchase. Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Top App!

*2022-08-17, version 1.45*

Works great with Rouvy as well.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2021-12-11, version 1.45*

Works with zwift and gives me exact figures, perfect app

### 5/5 — Brilliant app and developer

*2021-09-16, version 1.45*

I’m delightfully surprised how well this works and provides just what I need to interact with Zwift on a budget. I had some troubleshooting issues and the developer replied within the day and provided a solution.
Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Very welcome low cost alternative to footpod

*2021-07-27, version 1.44*

This is a simple and limited app, but it gets a 5 star review for filling a glaring gap for a low cost cadence option for Zwift. Kudos also to the developer for providing very helpful and friendly email support.

Tip on connection - make sure to turn on motion access for the app in iPhone settings: privacy/health and fitness/motion or it won’t register movement in armband mode.

### 5/5 — Great! Works with Kinomap!

*2020-11-25, version 1.44*

I am using a conventional treadmill and was searching for less expensive solution to track my run on Kinomap.
Then I found this. This is a best affordable option.
I suggest to make this app available in more countries including Japan.
