Only the chatbot that says it will attempt to get a human. Road side assistance does not answer, text messages to their contact number go unanswered as well as emails unanswered. Had a flat tire and needed repair had to go to another shop and pay for services. Have oil change and tire rotation scheduled but not confirmed yet either. They have no phone number. The text line doesn’t work. I had a service scheduled for a tire repair. The vendor never showed up. I had to reschedule but since it was after the first appointment, I got charged $50 for rescheduling a repair service. ### 1/5 — No answer to billing disputes *2025-10-24, version 1.0.342* I setup a service appointment a week in advance. Never got the confirmation email, my appointment day and came , went to the shop I selected and they had no record of it. Used the stupid AI chat because of there stupid terms of a cancel fee. Waited 10 days with no answer. Tried the AI chat again was told I would not be charged and to cancel and reschedule. They charged me $50 cancel fee and the only way to dispute is via email. Was told it would be answered with in 10 days. It’s now day 11 no answer. And the AI chat states if I dispute with bank my entire account will go to collections. This business has turned to garbage, I have used this on 2 vehicles and never had a problem until now. ### 1/5 — Waiting over a month for tire availability *2025-09-17, version 1.0.342* I’ve been a premium level customer for years and I’ve been waiting for over a month to hear back on tire availability. There’s fine print that locks you into their predatory contract somewhere, good luck finding it… You’re better off getting tires literally any other way. ### 1/5 — App does not work anymore *2025-06-14, version 1.0.342* Installed App, made my account, verified my identity by uploading my DL. When trying to select plan, the plans don’t show up, I receive an error, something went wrong connection lost, please try again. I have tried this on another phone, iPad, android, and all show the same exact error. I have tried contacting customer service via the app, I was told a month ago that the app was having issues and that tech support was working on it. Month later still the same error. I followed up and did not receive a response. Also noticed that it only shows one person available in the chat support. Are they going out of business? ### 4/5 — Great Service/POOR App *2025-03-17, version 1.0.342* This service is fantastic for anyone wanting to finance tires and can’t afford up front. Customer service is fantastic also. Not 5 stars because the app is not good at all. Comes with road side assistance but the service doesn’t work in the app and they ask you to Pay up front on your own and submit receipts. Also supposed to track miles in the app towards rotations etc. This feature doesn’t work either. Been down for months with no fix in site. Customer service never has an answer as to when the app will Work properly. ### 2/5 — Used to be amazing… now it’s meh. *2024-09-28, version 1.0.341* Been with Treads for almost three years now. When I first started they were amazing. The emergency flat repair was a godsend and you could get service same day. Not anymore. I picked up a screw today and being my van is my work van, I need it to work Monday. I tried to schedule a same day fix like I have several times in the past because my plan includes emergency flat repair and replacement (or at least it did when I started my subscription). The came out within an hour and swapped a flat tire on the side of the highway without issue. Well not today, I was met with AI chat help that doesn’t help, then finally when I reached a human being I’m told that they don’t schedule same day and to call firestone, but firestone wanted to schedule me for Tuesday to remove a screw… Now they’re telling me I don’t have emergency flat repair when it was the whole reason I signed up and I have used it several times since I started my subscription. Don’t bother unless you just want to finance tires. Their prices and install times are great but without the advertised emergency flat repair I had before, I’m better off paying cash for my tires and getting a AAA membership. Rip to a great model. I likely won’t be renewing my subscription after this set of tires is paid off. I’m currently sitting in the lobby at a competitor paying $25 to remove a screw that Treads told me I needed to schedule 3 days out. This company is a scam! ### 1/5 — No tires today; but here, have some spam. *2024-02-29, version 1.0.327* The company providing this service doesn’t sell tires in California yet, but they sure don’t have a problem sending me push notifications encouraging me to buy car insurance through them. Bought the tires somewhere else, happy with my current car insurance; don’t need the app. ### 1/5 — Credit lie *2024-02-27, version 1.0.324* I only used this service because they told me they would report to credit after making on time payments. Paid on time for two years, nothing was reported to my credit. Why pay double the cost of the tires for nothing. If finance is what you need most local shops will do that and are better as they don’t sub out the job. Not for me again ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not in service anymore but still charging!! *2026-08-03, version 1.0.342* We got treads several years ago and did the 2 year plan for tires and opted for a monthly oil change plan as well. Everything went great and we were very happy with our tires, service and ease of setting up appointments. After the 2 year plan was up we continued the oil change plan. But about 9 months ago we couldn’t set up a an oil change on the app. We tried to message tech support with no response, then email, then text. There is no phone number to call. After several attempts I had to reach out to my bank to try to stop the payments. I had to get a new debit card. After weeks of daily emails, in app messages and phone calls I have yet to hear from treads. There is NO one that works here. Yet they continue to bill all their customers and cannot cancel on the app, this is a FRAUD. Services were great until mid 2025. I sent a message and let them know that the soonest was 6 days out to put on tires and explained my problem . They were so helpful and was able to get out there within 36 hours and put on new tires. I fell on hard times and fell behind on the payments and still they we’re understanding allowed me to pay four months later and still keep my subscription. In the time during my membership they have taken care of me with installing my new tires in a timely fashion, tire tech came out and was done very quickly to the extent by the time I had some free time to take a look on their progress in between working and what have you, the tech was done and gone. When I decided to purchase four brand new tires about a year in just because I had the money to do so (nothing wrong with current tires) it was a low payment of $100 for ALL four tires, can’t beat that price. Unfortunately when they came out one of the stems on my new back tire was defective. But fret not they came right back out not even 15 minutes later replaced the stem and we’re gone in 5 minutes. Again this is all while I am working. They are the upmost definition of quality customer service and satisfaction. Thank you again Treads team, and keep up the great work!!!
