### 3/5 — Great game but update the app quickly!

*2017-06-26, version 1.3.1*

I love this game, its one of my favourites. Can you update it quickly! It won't work when iOS 11 is released.

### 4/5 — Good, but has one issue

*2015-05-29, version 1.3.1*

This is a great game, but there needs to be a sequel. Everything just ended abruptly, and it has a great amount of potential for part 2.

### 4/5 — Really good!

*2014-10-25, version 1.3.1*

An interesting game worth a few play-throughs. Enjoyable!

### 3/5 — Good to a point...

*2014-10-17, version 1.3.1*

During the story line there are strange changes in interactions with one scene to the next, almost like you did something that you never experienced in the story line, or it's a generic answer to a question you could have (but didn't) ask. Also about half way through the story one of the main characters changes from a woman to a man! I think the he/she switch Ruined the immersion for me, so much so that I stopped reading to post this as a warning. I like the story however, but the words and grammar are way off at points and need attention. So it's Good to a point and bad too, do give me confusing plot that never happened. Like "You lost the officer in the commotion." When I never met one, and "I don't want to be alone again." When I never was or never chose to go off alone in the first place. There are many more "what the?" Moments too.

### 4/5 — Great

*2014-05-25, version 1.3.1*

Enjoyed this one. Manages to feel like a real retro 70s cheesy scifi setting but the characters are still interesting and it doesn't get too outrageous or campy. Interesting choices throughout, so the decisions you make do feel meaningful.

### 4/5 — Short but good

*2014-05-12, version 1.3.1*

Like all Choice of Games, it was enjoyable to play, however I fell it could be better.

I love the adventure part, and he interactions. And the chance to play two sides is fun, however, you are forced to hate half of the characters in the game, as you can only like one or the other, no matter how nice you are to the both of them. The game was also on the short side, but it was still enjoyable to play.

### 4/5 — Fun Sci-Fi Romp

*2014-04-27, version 1.3.1*

I truly enjoyed the 'classic' feel of this game, highlighted by things like little puzzles to solve, objects you can obtain for later use, and skill sets. It reminded me a little of the olden days of DOS text games.

I hope the author eventually brings more games to life. The only improvement I would like to see is more in-depth relationships between characters (and not necessarily romance per se).

### 4/5 — Should have been able to kill them both

*2014-01-26, version 1.3.1*

Would have been nice if you could have killed the cop and the captain. Maybe even (most; if not all) of the crew. Then, you take control of the ship, and boom! part 2! And you're the captain! -Run missions the way you want. Outlaw... or nice guy...

### 4/5 — Short but good

*2013-12-11, version 1.3.1*

After playing Zombie Exodus, this just seemed too short to pay for. However, like Choice of Games other works, I did enjoy it.

If you ever wondered what Firefly & Farscape would be like if you combined them and asked CoG to write a script for it, this would be what you'd get.

### 3/5 — Has Potential

*2013-11-30, version 1.3.1*

I really like this game. The storyline is unique as well as the character development. The writing really allows you to create a good mental picture of the scenes. What stands out to me is the length has more of an abrupt ending. Also, the amount of player choices and customizable content is lacking. Overall this story feels smashes together, but it's not an adventure to overlook.

### 5/5 — Addicted

*2013-08-23, version 1.3.0*

I broke my promise to myself about not paying for any apps with this one.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2013-08-06, version 1.3.0*

It's great.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2013-07-31, version 1.3.0*

The story was good in making some decisions matter and follow through the story to an extent. However the mention of being able to determine your identity romantically has no matter in the story. No romance whatsoever besides saying there was a better friendship between yourself and a character, even with the flirtatious character. From past reviews its said that there were more bugs and lack of choice upon Thisi, I have seen less bugs in stats besides some choices that would appear to increase stats even to a small extent to nothing however Thisi was improved from my understanding. It's strange to have characters directly affect each other in the like meter however near the end of the story and made relationships with characters feel off. The determination on gender of Isan and Garce seem inverse, but nothing really indicates the difference between having one of them female in one game and male in another, it appears random and useless in the story. Some scenes with characters were unnecessary as if to state that you couldn't interact with the character for no real reason, only to inform you that you couldn't interact with them such as with Borion in town. The ending was honestly really unsatisfying from the lack of romantic development that was expected, open ends in not being able to really interact with characters at the end, and the short clips of well that's it at the end. Honestly going back to the duo character like meter, if they are inversely effected by who you interact with and only mention occasionally by saying oh you're really close with that crew member, keeping the meter balanced appears to make both characters happy and a better ending IMO making the need to make specific characters like you more useless. The use of Thela seemed really pointless as well just being a tiny part of the story, rarely mentioned, no interaction making her a character that the user wouldn't really care for. If perhaps since she was dreaming she could possibly interact with the user somehow or was more directly involved, she would have been better used than just a character to move plot along. Overall the app was ok, good that it was only $2, not worth anything higher but possibly $1.50 or maybe $0.99 worth.

### 5/5 — Wow... Simply wow

*2013-07-27, version 1.0.4*

This app is the best space dwelling game I have ever played. Utterly stunning, and completely amazing

### 5/5 — LOVED IT!!!

*2013-07-23, version 1.0.4*

Was such a great adventure story that gave me a sci-fi edge I've been wanting!!

### 3/5 — Disappointing

*2013-06-21, version 1.0.4*

It seems there are no male characters to be romantic towards, and this disservice straight women. Also it feels like you can barely interact with characters.

### 3/5 — Decent

*2013-05-29, version 1.0.4*

I have read/played quite a few of these and I have been impressed by every single one, except this one. The ending was bland and the "specializations" were pretty useless; which is sad because the majority of the game had a great story.

### 5/5 — New choice?

*2013-05-28, version 1.0.4*

I really love these books/games. But I have a suggestion for one, maybe you could make one about Ancient Sparta? That would be very interesting to see what you could come up with!

### 4/5 — A solid story

*2013-05-26, version 1.0.4*

I've played quite a few of these from this company. They all have different writers. This was one of my favorites, with a fun start and an exciting flow. My only problem lies with the ending. It feels like you spent a lot of time building relationships or fostering enemies only to have the characters give you a one-liner at the end. Despite this, the rest if the story is enough fun to make up for it. I'd recommend it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A waste

*2013-05-11, version 1.0.4*

I've played just about of of the chose your own adventure game and I must say this has to be to worst one to date.

### 1/5 — Errors already

*2013-04-24, version 1.0.4*

I'm only a few screens in and there are already context errors and random people popping into scenes where I haven't dealt with then before, by the actions described and the conversation options indicate I should have.

Needed a complete run through before release. These types of errors should not be in an actual "choice of" game.

Disappointing.

### 1/5 — Poor game

*2013-04-16, version 1.0.0*

Not the best choice of games game. Pretty awful. A lot happens in the game and only one of those conflicts is ever resolved. That wouldn't be bad but this is a stand alone game so your left with a lot of unanswered questions. Also don't expect any romance apart from some annoying flirting. Finally I had an issue with the way the stats build up. It's hard to track your relationships and it's all pretty buggy.

### 1/5 — Poor.

*2013-04-14, version 1.0.0*

Hard to read, and not just because of the many unforgivable typos. Full of one dimensional characters (including the one you play). Also badly rips off a lot of other sci-fi which would be fine if it did any justice to the characters and plot devices it plagiarises.

### 1/5 — Can't recommend

*2013-04-12, version 1.0.0*

The stats are buggy and the writing is clunky. The character concepts aren't well thought out (the description of the mimic character was ridiculous. They don't know what their natural form looks like? What if they're alone? What happens if two mimics are in a room, do they mimic each other?) The choices are all on rails and the characters aren't even two-dimensional.

This CoG entry isn't worth the $2, I'm afraid. It's very disappointing.

### 2/5 — D+

*2013-05-10, version 1.0.4*

Good for about two play throughs but not much more then that. Not many endings to get and is way to short and characters are fairly bland. I know COG is capable of far more then what they did here.

### 2/5 — Too much Space

*2013-04-27, version 1.0.4*

I love choice of games but going into space is getting boring. There's been too many outerspace games.

### 2/5 — Can't recommend this one

*2013-04-18, version 1.0.0*

Some choices, specially if you were talking to the women, you could only agree with them as if you were also flirting. I play as a female and wish I could have avoided that. I haven't completely finished the game. It couldn't hold my attention.

### 2/5 — Save your money...

*2013-04-16, version 1.0.0*

Interesting story and concept, but there's too many bugs and writing mistakes to make it really enjoyable.

### 3/5 — Annoying!

*2018-10-21, version 1.4.2*

Taking two stars away because sometimes when I select a option it will do the exact opposite of what I want it to do!!! Like for example it says knock out old woman but my character won’t do it!!! This is probably because at the beginning my character selected infiltration not tactical but it is still stupid why your character hesitates!!!! Please fix this!!!!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fun

*2017-12-02, version 1.4.0*

It was really fun I wish it was longer and had a lot of potential for a second part

### 5/5 — More game like this plz

*2016-08-29, version 1.3.1*

Good game I'm not going to write a review though there's already a dozen

### 5/5 — Short, but fun!

*2014-10-16, version 1.3.1*

Definitely wished it was longer, but it was still fun through the whole story.

### 5/5 — The best!!

*2014-08-30, version 1.3.1*

I loved this game! Full of syfi and adventure.

### 5/5 — Highly enjoyable

*2014-08-02, version 1.3.1*

This is my favorite thus far. Reminds me of Joss Whedon's Firefly, but with the added bonus of aliens. It's vibrant, every character and location is colorful and distinct, and it's a fun story in general.

That being said, there could have been several more missions before the end, and I can see there being a sequel, though I doubt that's ever going to happen.

Also, like several others have said, it's a pain that you can only get on the good side of 4 out of the 8 characters. Limits options. Perhaps if it were longer...

Overall, highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Another great story!

*2014-07-12, version 1.3.1*

Wish it was longer but still great!!

### 5/5 — Great

*2014-03-16, version 1.3.1*

Everything you make is great

### 5/5 — Part 2 of game if you choose to

*2014-01-15, version 1.3.1*

I know it's says the end but there's a possibility that you can make part 2 out of this really want to know what happens will I get the revenge will there be more romance can my action effect the next part 2 that I really hope you can make one even if it take sometime to make it great like the first one I'll wait for the next one your number one fan of rpg story

### 5/5 — To the stars

*2014-01-03, version 1.3.1*

This game is rather short but it's one of the best I've ever played, with many so choices the replay value is extreme. There are several typos though that make it hard to read at times but if you stop to think at these points it's easy to hash out.

### 5/5 — Great story!

*2013-09-30, version 1.3.0*

Super fun. Could be longer though!
