## What is Treat Map?

Treat Map is your neighborhood's trick-or-treat map - run by real neighbors, live on Halloween night.

See which houses are handing out treats near you, in real time. Green means treats; when a house runs out, it flips to "Out of Treats" so nobody rings a dark doorbell. Every house on the map is approved by a neighborhood organizer, so you only see doors that actually welcome trick-or-treaters.

FIND YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

- Browse public neighborhoods near you, or join a private one with a code your organizer shares.
- Not listed yet? Create your own neighborhood and invite the neighbors.

ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT

- A live map of participating houses, with times, floor, and door notes.
- Filter to just the houses handing out right now.
- Tap a house for details and leave a thumbs-up at the best ones.
- RSVP so your organizer knows how many trick-or-treaters to expect.

HAND OUT TREATS

- Put your own house on the map in a minute - address, treat window, and a friendly note.
- Flip "Out of Treats" the moment the bowl runs dry, and back on when you restock.
- Handing out at more than one house? List up to five.

FOR ORGANIZERS

- Approve houses so they appear on the map, and moderate reports and reviews.
- Add a house for a neighbor who won't install the app.
- Share the load by adding co-organizers to run the night together.

BUILT FOR SAFETY AND PRIVACY

- Organizer-vetted houses only.
- Door codes are shown only to signed-in members, and only when the organizer allows - never to the open internet.
- Your email and phone are never shown to other trick-or-treaters.
- Ages 16+ only, with children's privacy protections.
- No ads. No tracking. We never sell your data.

Happy haunting!

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-28

Treat Map 1.3
- Now in Swedish - the app follows your iPhone language.
- Works on iOS 18 and later.
- Neighborhood organizers can approve public neighborhoods right from the app.
- Notes to organizers show who sent them, and organizers get them by email too.
- Houses at the same address share one pin (even with a/o umlauts), floors read like listing titles, and every house now carries a contact email and phone.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-14

Treat Map 1.2
- Businesses can list too: a shop or cafe handing out treats shows as a violet star pin.
- One pin per address with a door count; tap it to pick the door.
- The list is grouped by street with house numbers up front, plus a Nearest sort.
- Organizers can export houses and members as a CSV backup.
- Cleaner house details and a neighborhood panel that tucks out of the way.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-02

Smarter addresses: pick your address from live suggestions and your house is pinned exactly where it should be. Creating a neighborhood now uses country and city lookups so every neighborhood is anchored to a real place. Plus a clear confirmation before deleting an account that organizes neighborhoods, and general fixes.
