Only one tree identification by picture per day for the free app. You must buy the pro version for this app to be any good. The pro version is too expensive. Identified the wrong tree on the first picture. Will be removing from my device.

The one-scan-per-day limit helps us keep a free version available while covering the costs of maintaining our identification engine, but I understand it can feel too restrictive. The wrong ID is on us, and I’d genuinely like to improve from that. If you’re open to it, sharing the photo and what tree it actually was would help us refine our database and recognition models.

I just bought a house and have thousands of pecans in the yard.  My dog got sick eating pecans so I wanted to see how many pecan trees I have.  According to this app zero.  Claims black walnut, none on the ground.  I didn’t see any oak leaves in the fall, but claims I have 3 oak trees.

Tree identification can sometimes be tricky for the camera, especially if the photos are taken from certain angles, in low light, or without clear shots of leaves, bark, nuts, or overall shape. That said, your experience doesn’t sound right, and I’d really like to make it better.
