Would definitely not pay for. There’s no option to turn off sound so you listen to the camera shutter sound repeatedly. The camera itself does some sort of automatic positioning where it tries to guess if you want portrait or landscape but it’s always wrong. Then the identification itself is poor. I had hoped it could do bark but it fails most of the time. It also struggles to do identifications in general and can’t handle multiple green plants in the image (so nothing in the background). The Seek app does a much better job and is free. ### 1/5 — The app is a joke *2025-05-30, version 1.0.10* Y'all know the developer's name is Semen Sharin', right? ChatGPT can already do things like identify things in a photograph and do it for free! There's hundreds of identical "specialized" apps like this on the App Store, lol. I hope nobody actually pays for a subscription to any of them! I hope nobody actually was so naive to have thought that Apple's "walled garden" App Store wasn't infested with fraudsters, thieves, pirates and con artists... (News flash, the developer is literally sharing his semen with you) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2025-05-26, version 1.0.10* The app forces camera into landscape, which is intuitively the worst orientation to take pictures of trees. You can use a photo from library instead, but it is laggy as heck, and even then, I’ve never been able to get the app to even attempt giving a result, just endless “….” thinking, whether connected to WiFi or not. This would be a 0-star free app, much less at $4.99 week. Doesn’t work, garbage. ### 1/5 — Rip-Off *2025-05-13, version 1.0.10* $4.99 a week is a joke. This app isn’t worth $4.99 a month. They Immediately took £4.99 from my account. I did have success in identifying trees. It’s not worth £4.99 a week I feel and only gives you a percentage of how sure it is.
