## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t use.

*2026-05-12*

I got this via an app that presents apps for free. This was supposed to be free. And it was for about a year. Now it doesn’t work. 😢 It won’t restore.

### 1/5 — Phil Connor

*2025-10-16*

Awful! On numerous occasions it identified Himalayan Balsam as blackberry, among other basic errors, not accurate at all!

### 1/5 — Have to pay

*2025-06-10*

You have to pay to get ids

**Developer response:** Hi!
Thanks for the feedback. I understand that’s not ideal for everyone, but it helps support ongoing development, server costs, and improvements to the recognition system. I really appreciate you giving it a try!

### 1/5 — Inaccurate id’s

*2025-06-08*

I asked for identification of common trees in my area that I KNOW their species, etc. the app got them wrong every time!! It “identified “ the trees as being on other continents for heaven’s sake. So I do not recommend this app.

**Developer response:** Hi there,
Thanks for your feedback, and I’m really sorry for the frustration. Tree identification can sometimes be tricky, especially with species that look alike across different regions. If you’re open to it, feel free to send a few photos of the trees you tested — I’d love to look into what went wrong and make it better.
Thanks again for giving it a try!

### 1/5 — Can’t identify

*2025-04-27*

a cherry tree in full bloom

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! The app should usually recognize a cherry tree in full bloom, but sometimes mistakes can happen. I'm always working to improve the accuracy with future updates!

### 1/5 — I guess this is a fake app.

*2025-04-23*

I took pictures of common trees in the city several times. When the identification was displayed, the app was always open and required to access the camera, but every time it would say error after 100%, and then return to the photo state. I guess this app is only for users to take photos to the server, not to identify trees.

**Developer response:** Hi, I’m sorry to hear about your experience. We had an unusually large spike in downloads this week, which may have caused temporary issues with identification. This isn’t a fake app — it’s a real project I’ve been working hard on, and I’d appreciate it if you’d consider giving it another try. If the problem persists, feel free to reach out via App Support so I can assist directly.

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of tweaking.

*2025-04-23*

This app only got one tree correct in my testing. A common fig that was full of fruit so pretty hard to miss.
Any tree with simple ovate or lanceolate leaves is identified wrongly every time. This would be a great idea for an app, but like every other tree or plant identifier app I have tested, it is completely inadequate for the task.

Nothing can beat some good reference books for accuracy, particularly if possible plant toxicity is a factor.
Sorry, I’m deleting this.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your detailed feedback! I'm sorry to hear the app didn't meet your expectations. I'm constantly working on improving the accuracy. It’s a big challenge, but I’m doing my best to make it better with every update. I really appreciate you giving it a try!

### 3/5 — Add Chinese language

*2025-04-18*

Add Chinese language

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for your feedback — I’m happy to share that multi-language support (including Chinese) is coming very soon! 😊
In the meantime, if you’re enjoying the app, it would mean a lot if you could consider updating your rating. Every bit of support really helps. Thank you! 🙏

### 4/5 — Fixed review from errors

*2025-04-22*

Things didn’t work right for the claim of being free. Finally got it to work so didn’t want to keep it at 1 star

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for updating your review! I really appreciate you giving it another shot. If you run into any other issues or have suggestions, feel free to reach out — I’m always here to help! 🌿
