## What is Treeline Maps?

Treeline puts wilderness on the map. Explore and plan hikes, with beautiful topo maps, satellite imagery, and detailed information about trails, amenities, and points of interest, no connection required. While you have service, 20 more live data layers give you up-to-the-minute info on weather, active fires, and more.

Features:
- A beautiful, detailed, fully custom topo basemap inspired by NPS maps.
- 20+ layers, including public land boundaries, NPS maps, USFS and BLM roads, live weather, cell coverage, aircraft, historical mines and minerals, and bedrock geology.
- Combine and overlap layers however you want. Save presets to switch between different setups quickly.
- Record routes. Organize your saved routes and places, share them with friends, and customize them on the map.
- Navigate by foot and car. Build custom routes using any combination of modes, and save them to reference (or navigate) later. Preview elevation profiles in detail.
- Import and export KML, GPX, and GeoJSON.
- See an exact forecast for any point on the map.
- Generate viewsheds so you know what you'll be able to see from a peak or a campsite.
- Discover trailheads, campsites, water sources, landmarks, caves, and more. When you're back in town for a resupply, see grocery stores and gas stations.
- Download maps offline on demand.

Fixed a bug that could have temporary caused data loss in very rare circumstances, only when launching Treeline immediately after the phone started up after shutdown. Any data that failed to load due to the bug will be restored after this update is applied.

Mexico! The Caribbean! Greenland! CANADA! The Treeline Topo basemap and most overlays now extend across all of North America. Overlays that are US-only are noted. More outside-of-US coverage is coming soon.

In addition, we've made a number of small improvements to Treeline Topo to make it easier to read and understand:
- Only relevant trailhead/campground amenity clusters show on screen when you're zoomed out.
- Terrain is prettier and more consistent between zoom levels.
- Areas with lots of water are much faster to load and render.
- Major peaks appear earlier.
- New areas are faster to download!

And in the app:
- Navigation continues after a restart.
- Much better resilience to storage issues and unexpected device restarts.
