However, it does not communicate to Trek Riding Club app or to an Apple Watch. That means I’ll have to use three apps to track one bike ride. One to operate my E bike, one to monitor my heart rate, and one to … Well, maybe I don’t need the Trek Riding Club app. ### 4/5 — Love my bike but having connectivity issues with app *2026-08-17, version 2.10.0* I love my Trek bike and the app is great but I’m having issues with connectivity upon start-up. When I connect my app to the bike, it connects and then after maybe 10 seconds, it cycles through the connection process again. This happens 3-5 times before it finally locks in. Once it locks in, I don’t have any further issues, but it is a bit annoying when I start my ride and the connection disengages and shuts the motor off. Looking for some help from the Trek team to solve this. A pain to get the original bike back on the app after deleting the new bike. This app works with only 1 bike. However, I can no longer upload my rides to Strava in the app. I tried disconnecting the apps and reconnecting to no avail. Bike shop couldnt help (other than update firmware). ### 3/5 — The design and user experience are not favorable *2026-06-01, version 2.9.3* While it does contain valuable information, the app is plagued by a lack of continuity between pages, rendering any features that would otherwise be intuitive… obsolete. In its present state, the app is functional but to call it clunky is an understatement. It’s operates like a Frankenstein monster with each page looking and acting like its own entity that is not conducive to a smooth ride. That said, I’m on a cruiser go riding around east Santa Cruz so I’m not mountain biking or anything. If gets 3 stars still because as a new comer to e-bikes, I am somewhat satisfied with the ability to tune the motor, some battery and charging info (but even more of it missing) and it has a map app that is very difficult to use and seems kinda dangerous. ### 2/5 — Basic app that does it's one job poorly *2026-05-22, version 2.9.3* This app is a pretty basic activity tracker but it doesn't even do that well. The "pause ride" doesn't work. When you go to resume your ride the app has lost connection to the bike and you have to reboot the app to reconnect, which either saves or discards the previous portion of your ride. Just done two rides and phone was out of battery before my ride ended. ### 1/5 — LBD *2026-07-14, version 2.10.0* App does not work with TQ hpr 60 drive systems. That means no recording, no motor tuning or dashboard functions at all. Trek has told me for six months that the app is being worked on. I will likely die of old age before they bother. What losers are writing software for this company? Trek’s hardware is rock-solid, but—as has been the pattern over the years—the software side is still glitchy. I’ve never been able to get it to work reliably with e-bikes, lights, or anything else. Put the phone down. Ride the bike. Brilliant. Solid work trek. ### 5/5 — Most bugs squashed now very solid *2026-04-29, version 2.9.3* Does a lot in one app, but the best part is being able to customize in great detail how my electric motor works, so I can turn it right down for long range and a slight boost, all the way up to the 300W juggernaut for steep hills. The map while riding works well, easy to pinch and rotate. And the database of rides is helpful.
