## What is Trekle?

Trekle turns your everyday steps into a real adventure. Pick a route — the Camino de Santiago, the Grand Canyon, the Tour de France or a fantasy journey — and every kilometre you actually walk moves you further along it.

HOW IT WORKS
• Trekle reads your walking distance from Apple Health
• No GPS, no location tracking — every step counts, anywhere
• Watch your progress on an illustrated route map

WHAT'S WAITING
• A catalogue of routes: local trips, world treks and fantasy journeys
• Milestones with photos and stories of the places you pass
• Celebrations for reached milestones and a grand finale at the finish
• Statistics: daily averages, records, best weeks
• A completion estimate based on your own pace
• Milestone notifications (never at night)

PRIVACY FIRST
No sign-up, no e-mail. We read only daily walking-distance totals and never use them for anything but your progress along the route. No ads, no data selling.

Lace up and set out — the first milestone is closer than you think.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-09-24

- News: see what's new in Trekle on the home screen and in the menu. Alerts can be switched off in Settings.
- Routes now show which friends are walking them or have finished — and the friends list lets you join them on the same route with one tap.
- A reached milestone closes with Back too, and the status bar no longer hides the close button.
- Notifications stay quiet at night and don't interrupt while the app is open.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-18

- Milestones speak up again: we fixed the alert that sometimes never arrived, and the Trekle icon now carries a dot until you've seen the new milestone.
- Signing in with Google takes your name along — no more typing it in before you can connect with friends. You can change it in Settings.
- An invite link that can't be opened now says so instead of doing nothing.
- Settings scrolls on smaller screens.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-15

New route detail: the map floats over the landscape, details ride on a card that slides over it as you scroll.
Friends on the trail: the comparison is always visible and you can invite a friend right from it.
The bottom menu no longer hides behind the system navigation.
When routes fail to load, the app says so and reloads them as soon as you're back online.
More accurate tracking: walked distance is counted per calendar day.
Autumn look from 23 September.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-29

• Fixed dark mode — panels and headings were unreadable.
• Settings now show whether the app is receiving walking data, and how to fix it.
• Added sign-out; deleting an account can be undone within 48 hours.
• A friend's invite now shows who is inviting you right away.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-19

• Sign in with Apple or Google to keep your progress safe and synced across devices.
• Walk with friends: send an invite and compare how far along the same trail you each are — live or day-by-day.
• Polish and fixes throughout.
