TrekRight – Camino Francés is a comprehensive, incredibly handy mobile app for anyone walking or bicycling the historic Camino de Santiago (specifically, the Camino Francés and the extension from Santiago to Finisterre / Fisterra). It was great. I offloaded it in between times until recently (2025) when I’ve loaded the app again. It just won’t let me reload the maps. I’m so frustrated and unhappy with it as I’m now going to have to pay for a different app to get decent maps. I strongly recommend buying it for peace of mind, especially if you are a solo (female) hiker as I was. I didn’t have to use it every day but when I did need it, this app was helpful and got me back on track or confirmed I was going the right way. The offline maps have hill shading and contour lines to show you the terrain you are going through. And more. Just drag them up/down on the route details screen. - The appearance of the route details screen is more appealing and more informative. - Tap on any branch in the route details screen or on any branch point on the map screen to see a pop-up showing lots of details about that branch, what other branches are available at that location, plus there are options for viewing its elevation chart, viewing it on the map, opening its details screen in the Trekopedia, inserting new branches, or deleting the branch from your route. - When editing your route, you can now shake your phone to undo changes you've made. - And more!
