Http 80 and RTSP 554. Using TV-NVR408 with various 1080p cameras from TRENDnet . Some app updates but lacking features updates . Picture quality and reliability is good for me , takes some tweaking of cameras, check support FAQ. Picture and video save don’t work and crash on IPhone X How about FTP or OneDrive support ? Not so much app related , but for developers . Why do your camera browser interfaces only support IE with plugins? I’m now happy. Problems with every version. The latest version crashes every time I try to take a picture. So I bought the $3.99 app and it only gave me the ability to multi-screen cameras at the same time. Other systems give you that option for free! Don’t bother buying the $3.99 app, not worth it at all... The video overall on this app is grainy, can’t log in and view previously recorded video as other apps let you. Doesn’t allow you to view full screen video of current camera being viewed... Basically unless you want to watch live footage of poorly streamed video from your DVR. This app is useless.... This app basically renders the TRENDnet DVRs useless, as you can do anything while away from home on this app! ### 1/5 — Awful and a total rip off *2019-02-16, version 2.0.35* Unfortunately you have to rate with at least one star, this app should be in the negative ratings. Why does it require an ITunes password? ### 1/5 — Wiped out all my camera setup info *2019-02-05, version 2.0.35* Seems this update wiped out all my camera setup info in this app, now I have to go through and re-setup every camera I have. Extremely poor way to handle existing config info in an update. Now verified: I checked my second device before updating this app, all cameras were there and working fine (using the version prior to this update). Updated, and all my cameras are gone, and have to re-setup and configure all my cameras again. ### 2/5 — Amateurish camera viewer *2018-12-22, version 2.0.25* I bought a TN-NVR408 and downloaded this Trendnet IPViewer app thinking to have a good experience viewing my cameras remotely. The app keeps asking me for my Apple Id credentials (why?). I do not trust this app so I cancel out of the dialog. The settings section is thin in options. I managed to connect to the NVR but the cameras output have a weird look no matter the aspect ratio I choose (2 choices). I also constantly get streaming errors despite being connected locally. I gave it 2 stars only because iIcan at least see the cameras output. Bye bye TRENDnet I’m over you. ### 1/5 — This app is terrible *2020-11-15, version 2.0.50* We have the Trendnet cameras for our kids Was using the Trendnet cloud app and got a notice that we have to upgrade to this app by dec 31st 2020. More like a downgrade. We can’t play music or use the microphone like we use to and cannot view the cameras once off the wifi. This app is terrible and I will be looking at other products from a different company. Very disappointed in Trendnet ! ### 1/5 — Not trendnet tv-ip862ic Compatible *2020-09-20, version 2.0.50* I received a notification that TRENDnet Cloud will be discontinued Dec 31,2020 and I should use this app. While the new version finally detects my camera it only shows a snapshot and does not stream. It gives a “ tv-ip862ic Disconnected” error. PTZ Controls do seem to work but no live streaming. I’m in network engineer by training, and I know a thing or two about where the problem lies. However, the only actual support you have is by telephone call to someone in India. The technical support person did not know what a Macintosh was. Even after I explained it was the computer made by Apple. Every single link on this page that goes to support send you to a generic Trenet help website. The first thing you need to do is put in your operating system – – there is no iOS in any of the pop ups. The second thing you do need to do is put in your unit and serial number. I have 30 cameras. Whenever I put one of those in I get support for that specific camera not for the iOS application After three hours on the phone now with the only phone number, the technical support person has admitted that they are in over their head. His first suggestion was that I undo the two weeks of wiring and all three cameras and send them back to him. Finally after a lot of discussion he escalated me to level to technical support. They’re supposed to Call me back in six hours. Do not buy any equipment from these people if you are using anything on an Apple platform. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t support all TRENDnet cameras *2019-03-05, version 2.0.36* We need this app to support old models. The old App doesn’t work with the new version of iOS. So I don’t get to see my cameras anymore. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works great *2022-12-17, version 2.0.50* I have an older TrendNet NVR, a TV-NVR2208, and everything works fine. Setup was quick, just entered the IP address,user name, and password for the NVR and it shows live views from every camera connected to that NVR. It’s a lot quicker than accessing the live view from the NVR’s web interface. ### 5/5 — Works great! *2019-03-14, version 2.0.37* I have 8 cameras plus a DVR and like to see what’s up when I’m not home.. this app works great... it is simple, powerful yet reliable.
