It's hard get the deck to the correct dimensions and impossible to get it at the correct level against the house. However for the life of me I could not get this app to successfully scan my area/deck. The overall market has plenty of options but no one leading the way. Color clarity is hard and visualization is terrible. TREX should be leading the way, but they are not. But to have to stand there and “build your deck” while holding the camera still as your phone starts to overheat is ridiculous. Needs to be like a flooring app I used took a picture of the room clicked on the flooring I liked a voila. The flooring was in the room picture. Easy peasy. Also it’s just one level and no steps- no guidance on supports- tree really missing the boat here. How great would it be to actually design the deck and order the materials from the app ### 2/5 — Severely limited *2024-07-21* We should be able to adjust the the height and be able to take a picture and build off of it. We have back deck off of the second floor and about 6 steps leading to the landing to the front door. The app only wants to make the deck off of the ground. Seems you can only rotate the image. It’s nice thought to get an idea but it shouldn’t be this frustrating to use in addition to looking like a lunatic to your neighbors in trying to get it going.
