Sometimes there’s a storm you never set up, and sometimes the lights just don’t come on at all! ### 1/5 — Stopped working!!! *2022-10-08, version 1.2* This is the second set of lights I have bought and once again, after 18 months they just stop responding correctly via the Bluetooth app. I was reluctant to purchase the same lights twice, especially after my first set performed poorly. However, I put my faith in Tri-Spec as they convinced me the newer versions were better…….we’ll they’re not!! I run two sets in my tank and at nearly £200 per set this is once again really disappointing. The Lights are not coming on with the timer. I reset and save the times, all Looks good but they fail to turn in. Yes I can turn them off with the master control function, but then they don’t turn off with the timer either. Also, the light strength is constantly changing by the app after I set it. Complete let down!! (Previous review: Same issue as previous reviewer.......running two sets of lights. Been ok since iOS update, now both units not connecting to app, so can’t change any settings. Really poor quality from a company that is supposedly an industry leader. Please respond as I know have some expensive lighting that I now can’t use!! NOT HAPPY.........) ### 1/5 — Useless *2022-07-28, version 1.2* This controller has a complete mind of its own and can’t be trusted. The timer had never worked, the lights don’t come on at the set time and sometimes don’t turn off. Basically manually turning them on and off via the app is all you have. For a company like interpet I really expected more. The world of apps is not new but this app and or this controller is rubbish. I am so disappointed ### 2/5 — App doesn’t connect anymore *2022-03-17, version 1.2* So I have had the Tri-Spec 2 for a few years now and I came home to the light being on red, I tried to connect through the app and it couldn’t find the device, I then unplugged and tried again and this also did not work. I then changed the battery in the controller itself and again this didn’t work so now I’m unplugging and plugging back in just for the light. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2022-02-20, version 1.2* The unit itself is great as a straight replacement for any Juwel light unit, allowing retro fit straight into position of old lighting unit. App control however is terrible. Literally you unplug the unit for more than a second and it forgets everything it’s meant to do. It’s like playing roulette every time it loses power and has a complete mind of its own for a few days after. Not great when you have CO2 running and rely on a steady lighting unit not to gas the fish. If I had my time again I would go Fluval 3.0 and find a way of keeping the hood with it. Not great InterPet, sort it out! ### 1/5 — Do not buy *2022-01-24, version 1.2* The lights are great but the app is useless, often you can’t save the settings and customisation is limited. I’ve had this light for over a year and the developers clearly have no plans to address the issues ### 1/5 — White light not working *2021-11-02, version 1.2* When trying to set up the lights I can totally adjust the red and blue lights but the white lights will only come on when turned up to 75-100% anything less than that and the tanks in darkness making the sunset not work as it should and like others have set failed to start the blue moon and sunrise option ### 1/5 — Good light poor app controller *2021-06-24, version 1.2* Timer seemed to work for a few weeks and now it simply has a mind of its own. Doesn’t turn on at all so you have to do it manually through the app. Sunset and blue moon also not corresponding to the times set. Watched numerous videos online, reset the controller, deleted the app and re-downloaded. Been to the shop that I bought it for help who rang and spoke to an interpet rep who suggested a few things but nothing has worked. Needs an overhaul as even when it worked the interface wasn’t great. ### 1/5 — Great Lights but the App Doesn’t Work *2021-02-16, version 1.2* Just got my first tank and have installed the app. Incredibly frustrating that the timings do not work, the sunrise doesn’t come on, despite the settings. The support is poor. Really so disappointed ### 1/5 — Absolute Rubbish *2021-02-07, version 1.2* Hit and miss whether timer comes on or goes off as programmed. Blue moon function worked once then never again. Limited functionality and having to scan everything to connect to Bluetooth is irritating. Update to WiFi controls and develop a timer that actually works - would be great. It’s a shame, the lights are good, but the app makes the whole experience very poor.
