## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Missing sus chord

*2024-11-07*

I love this app. It would be nice if we could have one more option in custom mode, which is sus chord. Then it will be a perfect app.

### 3/5 — B sharp and E Sharp

*2023-03-19*

The app doesn’t recognize d sharp and e flat as the same note. It also suggests that there are the notes bsharp and e sharp. The coding and format are good but it marks many answers wrong incorrectly.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback.
I think these are just enharmonics and in the context of a particular scale notes like E# or B# actually do exist.
For example, the scale of G# is: G♯, A♯, B♯, C♯, D♯, E♯, F𝄪. Therefore the chord C# in that key contains the notes C#, E# and G#.
Sure, this is just a music theoretical abstraction and in the end, on our instruments, an E# is just F.
It‘s all about context and in the context of a particular chord D# is not the same as Eb. For example, the chord G# is made of G#, B# and D#. You can’t replace the D# with an Eb in that chord, because theoretically it‘s not in the scale. Although it‘s the same note on the instrument with the same physical frequency.
Please correct me if I‘m missing something here and contact me via email at danial@songwriting.tools!

### 3/5 — Good idea, but incorrect notes

*2022-09-19, version 1.0.1*

The functionality is perfect, but the following notes should not be included as they don’t exist!
- B# or Cb
- E# or Fb

For example, I was asked for a C# major chord, which is C#, F, G#. I was ‘corrected’ by C# E# G#. Please fix this.

### 4/5 — Nice but a bit bare

*2024-04-15, version 1.5.0*

This is a great little practice tool but I think it could do with more meat on it’s bones. Excersises could be split into sets, like do 10 or 20 then get a score at the end, try and beat your high score etc. Just stuff to make it more appealing to come back to. Then obviously adding more notes than just triads would be great. Purchased to support as it will help me reach my goals.

### 4/5 — Good!

*2023-01-10*

I have been looking for an app like this for a while, and this one is nearly perfect. Some suggestions: add a haptic vibration when selecting notes or flat/sharp. Add a backspace button for when you select a note by accident. Highlight the notes you have selected in a different color.

**Developer response:** Hey, thanks for the suggestions. They will be a great improvement to the current UX. They‘ll be added with the next update in the next few days!

### 5/5 — Perfectly Simple

*2026-02-15*

Great “flashcard” style triad education. Would love to see a timed / test for each level in the paid version. ;-)

### 5/5 — Great design

*2024-09-16*

Very good design. Simple, yet practical and very helpful for recognizing chords.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much - that’s music to our ears! 🎶🥰

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-03-08*

Great app for brushing up and memorising the triads with different chord qualities.

The only thing I think is missing that would improve this app is the addition of dominant 7 triads as well, I think they should be included as they’re also quite essential!

### 5/5 — Great design

*2023-12-09*

Very good design. Simple, yet practical and very helpful for recognizing chords.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much - that’s music to our ears! 🎶🥰

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-10-19*

Simple app that does what I need in a clean and straightforward way. Awesome developer! Thanks for making this.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Great to hear that you like it! ☺️
