Keep getting failed messages when I upload content, sometimes it doesn’t take the video and it’s a regular MP4 file. Please fix this app. ### 3/5 — Some good opportunities but needs improving *2024-07-13* There’s need to be a system where the brand and creator can agree on deliverables before the creator starts to make content. Since the app updated this year I can no longer login with my Facebook. I can’t create a new account because it says my socials are already connected to a different account. I’ve contact tribe about this but they still can’t fix it ### 2/5 — Do not like *2023-05-31* One of the worst UGC/influencer platforms to get work, in my opinion, and I’ve been a creator for 3 years. When submitting to a job, you practically have to DO the work and create the content before you’re even chosen. That’s like working for free with the 5% promise you’ll get paid for it. No. Nah nah. I don’t like this platform at all. It’s counterintuitive! The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because if you do get chosen, the brands on this platform tend to offer more than $200 per deal, which is more than other platforms offer. ### 2/5 — Why is Facebook log in this only option *2022-01-25* Immediately I can’t use the app because I don’t have a Facebook linked to my Instagram for my side hussle account… Isn’t there others ways to log in? **Developer response:** Hi, thank you so much for the feedback, we really appreciate it. We do understand that it might not be ideal but without the linking, Facebook will not provide us access to your Instagram account. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Used to love this App *2022-01-11, version 4.3.1* But now it’s terrible. The concept of creating content and doing work without a guarantee you’ll get paid is a scam and unfair. And a lot of the brands in this app are CHEAP, even the big brands. I make way more dealing directly with brands than through tribe. ### 1/5 — Must have a fb page *2021-11-04* Could be good, however for Instagram influencers you for some reason must have a Facebook page attached to your Instagram. I don’t know any creators who have this and I’m not sure why this is a requirement. I participate in many paid collaborations and unpaid contra collaborations through a few agencies and a few apps and this is the first that’s asked me for a Facebook page. I use Instagram as my platform and don’t have a Facebook page connected to it as I use Facebook for personal use only just like most creators. Due to this I’m unable to connect my Instagram to the app and therefore can’t use the app or apply for any collaborations. I’ll continue to use other apps and agencies that don’t require a Facebook page for an Instagram collaboration. **Developer response:** Hey there! The FB sign-in is just to create an account. This is linked to your Instagram which is the platform we support on TRIBE. We completely understand this can be a bit tricky, although it simply due to account verification process through Meta. The whole “create content and “hope” to be approved idea is garbage and frankly not worth anyones time or energy ### 1/5 — Waist of time *2021-08-10, version 2.9.0* I’m deleting this app.It’s waist of time.You are waiting really long time for answer.Problems with payment.Definitely the worst influencer app. ### 1/5 — very dumb *2021-07-07, version 2.9.0* i would never create content or purchase product for a campaign that i do not even know i would be accepted to, this is another way of free labor and slavery was already abolished. ### 1/5 — Not worth it long term *2021-05-20* Don’t expect constructive criticism from brands, it’s usually generic pre selected responses so you often are left confused as to why a high quality submission was rejected! Considering the low rates, the brands are exceptionally picky with their brief yet often times accept sub-par images which makes zero sense. I’ve spent countless hours on submissions only to see poor quality submissions accepted so their logic is incomprehensible. I’d recommend spending as little time and money on the app as possible if you’re going to use it. Only use short term *2021-04-21* Tribe is a decent app for influencers starting out or who want to build their roster to work with bigger brands. However brands are encouraged to severely underpay influencers. I have 30K followers and the app tells me my rate should be £150????? When creators outside the app can make ten times that amount when loading directly with brands. Brands on the app can also reject your submissions for silly reasons and you may not get accurate feedback as to why they’ve rejected you. It’s decent enough to use to start off with but working directly with brands and pitching to them is best long term. **Developer response:** Hi there Oghosao! This is where creators simply pitch their content idea to the brand, and are pre-approved before needing create any final content. They have big brands but that’s only because they only care about brands and not influencers. If your an Influencer look for other platforms or do it on your own. TERRIBLE!!! ### 3/5 — Ageist App *2021-04-12, version 2.3.0* The too clever peeps at Tribe declare your age an issue and do not let you submit if you are the wrong age. Even if your demographic is perfect. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Brands should have a timeframe from the get go *2025-02-28* It is beyond frustrating to shop to create a recipe or to shop for 3 recipes as i did yesterday (and have done previously), only to then create a recipe and go into the app to submit and the job has been paused just out of thin air or you have mere hours left to submit. How is 6 hours sufficient notice at 6.50 pm in the evening? One recipe needed 4 hours to set and with filming and making it, that’s a nearly 2am finish. That would mean, being a parent and sleep would have to go out of the window. Why is the brand not made to from the outset, have a set timeframe? When you spend £40 on ingredients and have to drive 30 minutes to Waitrose, it almost feels like this company is all about serving themselves and the brand on the backs of people who are willing to do anything at any time and drop their commitments to make it happen. It’s ridiculous in 2025 that this is still ok and being allowed. I also think the brands shouldn’t be able to ask all content creators on the app to create content and then get to choose just 1 or 2 people. ### 1/5 — Can’t connect socials *2025-02-09, version 9.1* Seems like you can’t connect to any social accounts because their system is weird. ### 1/5 — App has critical bugs, support blames Jewish person *2024-08-21* So, the ui and the api are not proerly configured on this app. In order for their app to function it has to connect to IG, but the app is built wrong: it lets you log into facebook once, and then the app defaults to trying to log into that facebook account, and the interface only provides the option to try that account again, or cancel app connection 🙃. Apparently, the app pulls log in credentials from somewhere deep in my phone because the account that tribe keepa trying to access is an account I have not used in years. I don't have facebook on my Phone, and when I go to my Desktop and check the account that tribe says it is connected to, there are zero connected apps listed in facebook. I have spent a week going back and forth with "support" and all they are doing is telling me to check facebook settings on my phone–after I have told them repeatedly that I do not gave facebook installed on my phone, nor am I logged into facebook on any web browser on my phone. Imagine making this app an essential part of your business, and then when their poorly-built tech fails, they just run you around talking about "HAve YoU ChEckED YouR TWItteR SeTtInGs sir?!" ### 1/5 — Useless - you put a lot of effort in & never get selected *2024-02-09, version 7.7.1* I am on quite a few of these types of app and this is the only one where I have never ever secured a collab. You have to do a brief etc. before which takes time and most of the brands never even respond, they just time out. I’ve found it to be the biggest waste of time. I was even “personally” in it’s to one campaign and was almost instantly rejected. Thumbs down. ### 1/5 — Cannot connect to TikTok *2023-11-30, version 7.5* Been having issues with connecting with TikTok for days and still no one can solve the problem ### 1/5 — Asking for verification but the email doesn’t come through *2023-10-10, version 7.2.1* I'm currently facing an issue with email verification for my Tribe account. Despite multiple attempts, the verification email hasn't come through to my inbox or spam folder. ### 1/5 — Scam *2023-08-10, version 7.0* You literally have to do the content first purchase with your own money. And if the brand says no your outta money your literally working for free and there’s maybe a small chance they’ll pick you. Scam waste of time don’t download this app!!! ### 1/5 — Serious waste of time and energy *2023-01-25, version 6.3.1* It takes eternity for them to respond to submission. And they reject the content months after submission. It’s has happened with tens of my submission. There are much better platforms who respond well and pay on time. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2022-06-13, version 4.9* I joined this a few months ago and have been applying for lots of campaigns. I have over 200,000 followers on tiktok and 30,000 on Instagram. I find it impossible to get accepted. The one collaboration I did do, they nocked my initial charge down by £200. Not worth it. Just email brands yourself. ### 1/5 — Horrible business model *2022-02-26* As a content creator with 45k followers trying to make a living off creating, this app is a joke. You’re asked to create content for brands with their products (that you most often have to purchase yourself), you set your price and if you’re lucky you might be able get paid and post the content. If the brand finds your price to high or doesn’t like the content you’ve created, you’ve basically wanted hours of work for nothing. Furthermore, the business model where hundreds of creators are competing for the chance to be accepted by one brand - means you have to lower your price and put more effort into your content to be able to stand out and be chosen. Essentially you end up underpricing yourself, buying products you might not get paid to promote, and working for free - in the hopes that some brand will chose you. I’ve worked with some huge global brands and also some amazing small businesses! Lots of opportunity on the platform and it’s so easy to use. The support is quick and efficient when needed too. I don’t get why people complain about the platform when they clearly write the directions and how you get paid. It’s like going to a restaurant, reading the menu, and complaining when you get what you ordered. I submit a couple pictures, companies pick me if they like it, and I refine those pictures and get paid.
