### 4/5 — Requires iOS 9

*2015-09-23, version 1.1*

I like the improved gameplay. It runs great on my iPhone 6 that is running iOS 9. Unfortunately, my iPad 4 is running 8.4 because I'm waiting to see if iOS 9.1 provide will improved performance.

Requests:

iOS 8 Support
iCloud Support
MFi Game Controller Support

Thanks!

### 4/5 — Awesome game

*2014-03-27, version 1.0*

Love tempest so it's obvious I would love this game. Only thing I don't like is making us start completely over when killed. It really is hard to play. Please make it a bit more easier.

### 4/5 — Cool but got problems

*2014-03-26, version 1.0*

It won't let me move in level 3 please fix !

### 4/5 — Needs tilt

*2014-03-26, version 1.0*

This is an amazing game but, it would be better if it had tilt controls.

### 3/5 — Good try...

*2014-03-25, version 1.0*

Game is way too easy. Controls are meh, dragging should be tilt. Auto fire is overkill. Breezing through the game is almost guaranteed.

### 3/5 — Good

*2014-03-24, version 1.0*

I dropped a star because it isn't clear why the "jump" changes sides for no reason, causing the loss of lives.

### 3/5 — Tempest knock-off

*2014-03-23, version 1.0*

This game is pretty much Tempest for the iPhone, which is not a bad thing. I like the retro theme and the fact that there are NO IAP's that seem to plague the App Store nowadays. If I could change or add one thing it would be alternate controls, maybe a button on both sides to control left/right movement instead if sliding because it doesn't seem as responsive as it could be. It's not bad for a $0.99, I'll give it that!

### 4/5 — Excellent!

*2014-03-21, version 1.0*

As an old-time fan of the Tempest arcade game, I find this little gem quite addictive.
But I miss just one thing: at the end of each level, Tempest used to zoom IN instead of OUT, and we had to watch out for SPIKES which could kill one of your lives on the way out of a level! This was part of the game and I miss that!
Otherwise, an eye-candy that is really worth your time!

### 2/5 — meh

*2014-03-21, version 1.0*

Tempest was the ultimate 80's game, it was and still feels futuristic in its gameplay, the sounds on this game do not compare, I think I'm mostly annoyed by the constant high pitched laser sound. I'll try without the volume.

### 2/5 — Nice idea BUT....

*2014-03-21, version 1.0*

Awful control system, needing to "drag" your finger left and right to maneuver, with an almost auto fire, I don't feel like there's any skill involved. Yeah give retro look is great but gameplay is weak IMHO.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — What a disappointment!

*2014-03-27, version 1.0*

I watched and read the and I'm confident that the positive reviews are from the developers and their friends. I was a HUGE Tempest fan and was really excited about this game. Especially since it was less than a buck. Boy was I wrong. The controls are HORRIBLE! Bad movement and horrendous firing mechanism.

DELETE!!! Maybe the next update will make me change my mind.

Sorry!

### 1/5 — Fun for 2 min

*2014-03-26, version 1.0*

Level 2 does not work on my iPad mini

### 1/5 — A bit disappointed

*2014-03-26, version 1.0*

I'm a fan of vector...but the finger controls on the iPad make this game frustrating. Sometimes the triangle does not move when I drag my finger. I couldn't get past the first level. Very frustrating. I was so hoping it was a Vector type. Oh well.

### 1/5 — Frozen at level 3

*2014-03-24, version 1.0*

The game is totally frozen at level three.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2014-03-23, version 1.0*

It is very pretty.

Controls are terrible and tedious. Game requires no skill. Worst of all you cannot save progress and have to start from level 1 each time.

Not worth a dollar.

### 1/5 — Freeze at level 3

*2014-03-21, version 1.0*

Mini os7 unable to move when level 3 starts.

### 1/5 — Boring

*2014-03-21, version 1.0*

This game was probably designed in 5 minutes. Don't waste your time

### 2/5 — So-so, but nothing great

*2014-08-17, version 1.1*

Too repetitive, too easy for too long.
Plus, this is a TOTAL Tempest rip-off!
If you're going to rip an existing game off, please improve on the design & try to bring something new to it...

### 2/5 — Not so hot

*2014-04-15, version 1.1*

I found control to be awkward and fairly non responsive. Perhaps this is by design, but I don't think so.

### 2/5 — Just not a fun concept.

*2014-03-23, version 1.0*

Hard to play
Bad graphics
No upgrades
Can't save until you get past level 25.
Waste

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — More than you’re expecting...

*2015-10-07, version 3.0*

Yes, it’s similar to Tempest...but Tempest is an absolute classic, and it worth seeing what someone else does with the concept. One of the most impressive elements is the system of game progress: it’s truly innovative, and let’s you choose either to limp through levels with one life and limited power, or to play more carefully and to conserve life/power. There’s more depth here than you’d expect, and it’d probably be easier to appreciate if there were some kind of tutorial built into the game....

### 5/5 — Great game

*2014-03-31*

Revitalized my addiction to Tempest.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2014-03-28, version 1.0*

I love this game & has been my go to game since I got it. I usually don't review games even when they bribe you w/coins or points to do so, no only what I consider a really good game do I review. One of the negative reviews I read said that all the good reviews were either related or new the developer but I don't believe it because I'm not related nor do I know them & I give it 5 stars. When I first started playing it would boot me out sometimes on the 4th level sometimes other levels; as you know this is very frustrating but I liked it so much I kept trying & then it started after booting me out when I opened it up again would open to the same level I was on when it booted me out; which made it a little better but still frustrating. I've been playing for a few days now & it pretty much stopped booting me out even though I don't know why. I've made it to level 35, once you get to level 25 you can start there every time if you want to. The next save level is 50. There have been complaints about the controls but I hope they don't change them because if you would just play a little while & get used to them you would realize that the way the controls work are part of the awesomeness of this game! On some levels it's like trying to pat your head, rub your stomach, walk & blow a bubble all at the same time. All you do is move your finger left & right but the way the track (for lack of a better word) is I find my finger going all different directions because of the perception you see while playing. Yes it starts out easy but just keep playing & I love the jump button, it also takes time to realize how cool it is & how to make it work for you. I've never written a review so long but felt I needed to tell people how much fun this retro shoot-em-up game is. Some are comparing it to tempest which I've never played but think I would like it but the point is don't compare it just enjoy it for what it is and for the price you can't beat it!

### 5/5 — Beautiful...

*2014-03-27, version 1.0*

..if only every Tempest clone was this good...

### 5/5 — Big fun for small money really.

*2014-03-26, version 1.0*

Shoot at stuff in retro fashion. Good fun and heaps of levels to play through. Worth every 99 cents imo.

### 5/5 — Really fun, good gameplay

*2014-03-24, version 1.0*

This game is pretty fun. It has basic gameplay anyone can get into. But is challenging enough for the better players to get to the higher levels.

I like the various enemy types. This game seems to avoid copy and pasting the same enemy's and making stronger versions (except the strong grunt I hate that enemy)

And then there are no IAPs which is amazing. More games need to be praised for not having adds or micro transactions!

I think the thing I like the most is how it supports me using my left hand. If I start using my left hand the "jump" button will go to the right!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2014-03-23, version 1.0*

I was never big into the arcade games of the past or the one this was based off. So I can't say much there. But what I can say is how insanely addictive this game is. Took me a bit to get the controls down. But once I did. I couldn't stop. Love it

### 5/5 — TriBlaster

*2014-03-22, version 1.0*

Great game, fast, fantastic graphics, well worth 5 stars.
Costs next to nothing, worth the money for fanatics like me.

### 5/5 — Fun retro game

*2014-03-22, version 1.0*

It's basically like space invaders played on extruded curved, angular or wraparound shapes.
Retro graphics and sound but with a modern edge. Fun.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2014-03-21, version 1.0*

Possibly the best arcade game I have played on my iPhone. Runs silky smooth and is extremely fun. Definitely give it a download!
