### 2/5 — you have to pay

*2025-07-12, version 3.1.5*

you have to pay 65$

### 1/5 — Disgusting

*2024-05-14, version 3.1.3*

Previously free. You could track urges and pulls and reasons for doing so. Now it’s $65 A WEEK. And all old data is gone. Really sick of people monetizing tools to use for mental health disorders.

### 1/5 — Making an account is awful

*2024-04-25, version 3.1.3*

Making a password is awful I fulfil all the requirements but for some reason it still doesn't allow me to make an account.

### 1/5 — Data is gone

*2024-02-26, version 3.1.3*

This used to be a free app to log pulling episodes and now that free data is gone and the app is unusable unless you pay. Absurd and unethical

### 1/5 — RIP OFF

*2024-02-07, version 3.1.3*

This app costs $65 a week, $260 a month and I believe thats before tax. Also they charge for the entire month at once, not weekly. That is absolutely absurd. And the price is not advertised so I downloaded the app and created a profile believing it was free only to be directed to pay immediately. There is no option of a free account and then to pay for more things you want on the app. So if you want the app you must pay $260 on the spot.

### 1/5 — What Happened??

*2023-12-24, version 3.1.2*

Used to be free to log behaviors but now you have to pay to use the “free feature” and all my past logs are gone?? This is detrimental to the trich community. I hope another free app that isn't trying to financially capitalize off our trauma takes the place of this garbage one. Booooooooo

### 1/5 — Difficult to use and charges allot

*2023-10-14, version 3.1.1*

The app is difficult to use and doesn’t allow me to make quick logs of my pulling. If I pull my hair 30 times per day, I don’t want to have to spend 3 hours on my phone logging and answering questions that mean nothing like where I pulled… which doesn’t matter.

### 1/5 — “Free?” I don’t think so.

*2023-09-22, version 3.1.1*

I got this app hoping to help with my trich. It says at the TOP of the app description that it is a FREE app… But sent me to a subscription page not even 5 minutes into being on the app. The text boxes also do not work. Would not recommend

### 1/5 — Just a questionnaire to gather info

*2023-08-07, version 3.1.0*

The ‘free’ tool is basically just a questionnaire asking you about your problem. There is no help, suggestions or anything like that. It basically just collects a load of information off you with nothing in return.

### 4/5 — Love the new app!!

*2023-07-30, version 3.1.0*

A couple of changes I’d looove to see: streamline tracking a little by not making us have to click “see more” when listing options. Allow us to edit location options in terms of where we pull from. I only ever pull from my scalp, so having all the options feels like an unnecessary extra step. One big button to press to track would be nice too, or a widget.

### 4/5 — TrichStop

*2023-04-11, version 3.0.9*

This app has motivated me to stop pulling my hair, but, sometimes I can’t be bothered to put in a submission

### 1/5 — Too much work to log a pull

*2022-08-31, version 3.0.9*

This app is not convenient to use. I just want one button to press when I pull and nothing else.

### 4/5 — Good App

*2022-07-24, version 3.0.9*

This has helped me to log my urges a ton. It’s helped reduce my picking as well, though of course it’s not a miracle cure.
There are some accessibility and quality of life updates that could be applied to this app for a better experience, like night mode, but it’s a fantastic core.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-08-11, version 3.1.8*

It should be listed with the “In App Purchases” tag because you have to pay to use the app. It’ll let you answer tons of questions then hit you with the paywall.

### 1/5 — Awful don’t bother

*2026-01-07, version 3.1.7*

Can’t access the ‘free’ resources or tracking they advertise but this isn’t apparent until AFTER they’ve already got your email…. Don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — Scam!

*2025-11-19, version 3.1.6*

I was reading through the reviews and they said they fixed the price issue. NO! I went on hoping to help myself but it costs 60$ a month! NO TY

### 1/5 — I’m disappointed

*2025-10-25, version 3.1.6*

I am a person with a severe trichotillomania disease. I downloaded this application because I don't even let hair grow on my head for years. I downloaded the application because maybe it would work, but the price is too high. I think this is very ridiculous. I live in Turkey and it is really ridiculous with the money here.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2025-06-20, version 3.1.5*

Don’t buy. This is a waste of money. The therapist will email you a question. Then you respond and wait a whole day for another question. No advice. Nothing worthwhile. I cancelled a week and a half in and I never heard back from them. Total waste of money. Use your money and see a real person.

### 1/5 — Absolute Financial Ripoff

*2024-11-05, version 3.1.3*

I was charged USD260 per MONTH after providing credit card details, but information provided before this was that the annual
Cost was $260.
Stay away.

### 1/5 — Payment

*2024-11-02, version 3.1.3*

All I can say is I can't believe I have to pay for this app

### 1/5 — Not free

*2024-10-26, version 3.1.3*

Not free, can’t do anything without the monthly plan :(

### 1/5 — Don’t download

*2024-10-10, version 3.1.3*

Just makes you sign up with email before asking for $65/week, no content whatsoever before paywall

### 1/5 — Bait

*2024-06-14, version 3.1.3*

I set up an account with my email, made a password, and even used a confirmation code. After all of that I discovered that I have to pay $65 a week to use the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really happy with it

*2025-07-25, version 3.1.5*

It’s been a great program so far and I’m really glad with the progress I am making.

### 5/5 — The best habit tracking app

*2023-06-05, version 3.0.10*

Dear developer
I am greatly thankful for your amazing work to help people like me teach their pulling in easy and efficient way.
I just started my healing journey and the app was a great help.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!

*2023-04-14, version 3.0.9*

This app is so helpful!
I’ve have trich for about 4 years now, and since I got TrichStop, it has helped so much!

Luckily I don’t know many people with trichomania (is that how you spell it? The word is so long) but if I did, I would definitely recommend this app to them!

Thank you so much, this will help so many people.

### 5/5 — Hair pulling

*2022-09-10, version 3.0.9*

This app covers all you need to be able to stop if you really work it. Don’t stop on the hard parts because you need all the different phases of this program to help you along. The one on one and group therapists are very good and supportive. Nothing like being with a group that totally understands the issue I highly recommend this program.

### 5/5 — Makes me aware

*2022-06-03, version 3.0.9*

I have pulled my hair since I was a small child. In fact, it’s the very first memory I have. I have never been able to stop, and I am 45 years old. This app, that I can’t even believe IS an app, has helped me realize just how often I’m pulling and what’s triggering it. I force myself to log an entry every single time I catch myself pulling or almost pulling my hair. Hopefully this will help me break the cycle. Thank you for creating this app.

### 5/5 — Use this app ASAP

*2022-03-23, version 3.0.9*

I stopped pulling because of this app. And it took 3 whole days!! That’s it :)

I’ve been a puller for 25+ years, on and off. Generally the the only thing that worked for me was keeping my hair short. But I like long hair. I’ve been trying to grow a beard, and that’s been the pulling spot for me lately.

And to my surprise, because I stopped pulling my anxiety is much lower.

Pulling was actually making me more anxious, not the other way around.

Good luck everyone!

### 5/5 — Useful for awareness

*2021-06-16, version 3.0.9*

This app doesn’t necessarily stop my hair pulling, but it does make tracking and recording my impulses to pull much easier. I do notice I now have greater awareness of my triggers, and it does make me stop and think about what I’m doing. It’s also useful to see a record of all the times of day and situations when I feel the urge.

### 5/5 — Truly a Blessing

*2021-05-06*

The people behind TrichStop are wonderful and so many could benefit from their work. This app has helped me greatly on my own and I intend to enroll in the TrichStop program soon.

### 5/5 — This app is sooo good !!

*2021-03-17, version 3.0.7*

At first I was skeptical but I still downloaded because I wanted to try and stop pulling my hair I’ve been pulling my hair since I was six I’m now 11 it first started with my eyebrows my eyelashes my nose hair and now my real hair on my head.

I understand some people think other things work like things you put on your fingers and gloves but this app is amazing if you don’t wanna use those
The reason why am writing is to say how amazing this app is I know you have to pay 200 pounds and upwards but I did it the freeway

1. You have to know when you’re pulling I understand when I do it and like some people don’t know that they’re doing it but luckily I do.

2. How I did it the free way was when I started pulling I would quickly jump to the app and write how I was feeling when I was pulling and my urges on the app that is a scale from 1 to 10 how bad the trigger was mine is usually around 7 and up to 10.

3.But as soon as I deleted the app because I thought my Trichotillomania was getting better I soon discovered how much this app has really helped me when I had it so I am deciding to get it again because this app is truly amazing

4. You also have to understand what has made you do it or pull your hair and for me I thought I had nits but I didn’t, another great thing to do is keep a diary but because of this app I didn’t need to keep a diary because this one was really secret to me and I felt like my mom would either sneak in my room and read it this one was just for me to read or this app to read.

5 . Bye

### 5/5 — Efficient, Quick Logging. This app sincerely "gets it" and wants to help.

*2017-07-20, version 3.0.0*

This app has helped me to identify when, where, why, in what location, scenario etc. my trich episodes take place, so I can be more aware when I start pulling subconsciously. I usually HATE tracker-style "productivity" apps where you have to like manually log everything, but this app is different for several reasons. It allows me to log QUICKLY & efficiently and doesn't force you to fill in every last detail before saving the entry. If I'm driving, I can open the app, click that I'm pulling and fill the rest in later if I want to. Also, I think there's definitely something to the manual logging for each pulling session. I get the urge to pull I tell myself "if you pull, you have to log." And oddly enough, more often than not, THAT is just enough to suppress my urges. I think it's also worth it to note that, in each log, there's the option to rate the intensity of the urge and the option to do a journal on how you're feeling, etc. Obviously, these developers have either really done their research, or have experienced trich themselves. This app just like, "gets it" and doesn't feel insincere like most of the "healthy living, habit building, to do list +" kind of productivity category apps.
