## What is TRICK DECK?

TrickDeck is an app for skiers and snowboarders to film, organize, and review their trick practice.

It's more than just a camera app. The unit of a record isn't "one video" but "one attempt." Tie each clip to a result, a self-rating, notes, and the trick itself (BS/FS, spin, grab, axis, exit) to build a practice log that's truly your own.

No server or account sign-up required. It works even where there's no internet connection, and everything is stored only on your phone. Perfect for the mountain, far from any signal.

• Export what you're comparing as a vertical video (9:16) to Photos. Side by side or overlaid, it becomes a single clip you can share (iOS)
• Multiple riders supported. Great for taking turns with friends or a coach filming several students—log, color-code, and filter by rider
• Tap to film instantly. Large buttons that are easy to press even with gloves on
• Start and stop recording from your Apple Watch (the Action button on Apple Watch Ultra, or a long-press / double-tap on the screen). The countdown and recording state show on your watch, so you can film without touching your iPhone
• Slow-motion playback and frame stepping (hold to step continuously), plus zoom in to compare the smallest details of your movement
• Show your own marker on the camera screen (handy for telling your clips apart when several phones are filming)
• Available in English, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional & Simplified), and Korean (automatically matched to your device language, and switchable anytime in Settings)

Almost everything is free. "TrickDeck Supporter" is a little extra plan for those who'd like to support development. It unlocks stamps to decorate your camera screen and the ability to overlay your own images (text overlays stay free). The plan auto-renews once a year.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-07

• Added "BOOKOFF SPORTS PARK SAGAMIHARA" to venues, with four items: small, medium, and big jumps plus free ride. It's added automatically for existing users too (remove it from the venue settings if you don't need it).
• You can now swipe left/right to move between videos even while zoomed in. Pan to the edge, then pull further in the same direction to switch to the next/previous video — ease back and the swipe is canceled.
• Fixed pinch-to-zoom expanding from the wrong point instead of the midpoint between your fingers. Also fixed the zoomed position snapping back to center when you lift your fingers.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-21

• When deleting a video, you can now choose "Keep stats only" — free up space on your device while keeping your practice record (result, trick, and STATS). Delete now offers three clear modes with explanations: keep stats only, remove from app, or delete completely.
• New "Organize videos" screen (Settings › Storage). Filter by date, trick, result, and more, then delete in bulk while protecting your favorites — with a live count before you delete.
• Set your trick from Apple Watch. Pick stance (switch), spin direction, rotation, grab, landing, and axis with the Digital Crown; the trick you set also shows on the recording screen.
• STATS now shows your own record by default. Even with multiple riders registered, it starts with just you — switch riders from the top to see their stats too, and your choice carries over next time.
• Date filter now supports open-ended ranges — set only "from" or only "to." In the range calendar, days with videos are shaded darker the more you shot.
• When you filter the video list and open a video, left/right swipe now follows only the filtered list, in order.
• When you start recording from the Apple Watch Action button, the app now jumps to the recording screen (countdown) even if the trick or timing screen was open.
• Updated internal libraries for better stability.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-07

• New STATS view to review your practice: reps and tricks for your latest day, how many days you rode, and how your success rate is trending — with season/month/week and rider, sport, and venue filters. Open it from "Today’s score" on Home.
• Start and stop recording from your Apple Watch — via the Action button on Apple Watch Ultra, or a long-press / double-tap on the watch. The countdown and recording state show on your wrist, and you can set the delay and length from there too.
• After checking your last clip with "PREV," tap "CAMERA" at the top-right of the player to jump straight back to shooting — shoot, review, shoot again without missing a beat.
• Reduced heating and battery use across the app, with lighter library, Compare, and playback.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-07-01

• Fixed an issue in Compare where the alignment between the two clips could drift over repeated play/pause/seek in SYNC — your set alignment now stays put.
• Fixed the video list's item filter not being saved (it was lost after leaving the screen or restarting).
• Fixed frame-by-frame stepping advancing two frames per tap on 60fps clips (now one frame per tap).

• Mirror (flip) view: flip a clip horizontally in Compare and in regular playback — handy for comparing regular vs. switch stance (flips in Compare are saved and included in exports; iOS).
• Added a pre-export summary so you can review the layout, speed, length, and resolution before exporting (iOS).
• New button to temporarily hide the ghost overlay to check the original clip. In SYNC, panning or zooming one clip now moves both together.
• Fixed an issue where an imported clip couldn't be panned all the way to its edges in Compare.
• Fixed an issue where the zoom level (×) could stop updating after interacting with a clip in Compare.
• Clearer ghost balance and selection outline, plus other small improvements and bug fixes.
