## What is triday?

triday is the smallest possible diary: three lines, once a day.

Open it at night, write three short lines about your day, and close it. No streaks to protect. No endless feed. No setup. That is the whole thing.

Why three lines? A blank journal is intimidating and a busy planner is noisy. Three lines is small enough to actually do every day, and honest enough to mean something. Week by week, they quietly become the record of your life.

WHAT YOU GET
- One entry a day, three lines long. Gentle, never demanding.
- A soft prompt to start you off, whenever you want one.
- On this day: reread what you wrote one, two, and three years ago.
- Private by default. Your words stay on your device.
- Optional iCloud sync across iPhone and iPad.
- A calm, beautiful design with nothing to learn.

A diary for people who think they do not have time to keep one. A minute a day for reflection, gratitude, and a little calm.

triday. three lines, every day.

### 4/5 — So Fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2026-08-11*

I like the app, except for one thing-it says you can change your font, but when i oressed one i wanted (yes it was free), it didnt change, so i was stuck with the cursive which is very hard to read. But otherwise, this is a great app!👍❤️

**Developer response:** Thank you, and sorry about that. There is one extra tap that is easy to miss: go to Settings, then Handwriting, swipe to noon (it is free), and then tap the Choose this button to lock it in. Selecting a hand only previews it, so without that last confirmation the app stays on the one you had. Give it a try and the new font should be live. If it still will not stick, email us the details at hi@triday.xyz and we will look into it properly. Thank you for the kind words, and sorry it took an extra step to get there.

### 4/5 — Kinda free

*2026-08-08*

I really love triday and I wish it was fully free but its asking me to pay for the day drawing and I haven't seen what else it asks you
Too pay for so we'll see

**Developer response:** Thank you, writing your three lines every day, keeping them forever, the noon handwriting font, and dark mode are all free, and they will stay that way. What the paid version really pays for is the work itself: triday is a small operation, and we have shipped more than 20 updates in the last three months alone, most of them straight from reviews like yours. If drawing is the part you want, there is a 7-day free trial to test all premium features before you make a decision. Really glad you love triday, feel free to email us at hi@triday.xyz for any other feedback! :)

### 5/5 — Simple beautiful the sound of writing

*2026-08-06*

Love

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the review! Glad to hear you're enjoying the app.

### 5/5 — Simple

*2026-07-26*

Fun, simple way to write memories or gratitude. Love it.

**Developer response:** Thank you! Memories and gratitude are exactly the kinds of things that deserve to be written down, and we love that triday is where they land for you. Keeping it fun and simple is the whole point, so this is lovely to hear. Happy writing!

### 1/5 — Dark mode

*2026-07-23*

No dark mode without paying. Ridiculous. Light gives me headaches. Deleting.

**Developer response:** Update: dark mode is now completely free for everyone, no subscription needed. You were right. Getting headaches from a bright screen is no small thing, and comfort is not something that should have sat behind a paywall. That is on us, and your review is what pushed us to change it. If you feel like opening triday again, dark mode will be waiting for you at no cost, and please update us how it goes. Any other thoughts are always welcome at hi@triday.xyz. Thanks again for bringing this up.

### 5/5 — Short n sweet!

*2026-07-19*

Great app. Just what I needed.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. "Just what I needed" is honestly the best thing an app like this can be. If there is ever anything that would make it a little better for you, we are one message away at hi@triday.xyz.

### 5/5 — Simple and great

*2026-07-17*

Very simple and does exactly what you think it would do. I’d like an upgraded file attachment or picture to link to the day.

**Developer response:** Thank you! Doing exactly what you expect it to do is a surprisingly hard bar to hit, so we are glad it lands. And a photo or file attached to the day is a lovely idea, one we have been mulling over too, since some days are better captured in a picture than in three lines. We have noted it down, happy writing!

### 1/5 — Illegible

*2026-07-12*

The default font is too difficult to read, and you’re unable to change the font to unless you subscribe to the paid version. This is intentional and slimy. Uninstalling.

**Developer response:** You are right, and we hear you. That is on us. The good news: the latest update (1.6) adds a brand new font "noon" that is completely free for everyone and genuinely easy to read, no subscription needed.

Please try again, we think you will notice the difference right away, and we would genuinely love to know if it changes things for you. Any other feedback is always welcome at hi@triday.xyz. Thank you for the honest push, it made the app better.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-07-11*

Love the app, its design and format. Allows me to draw things i feel, really cool

**Developer response:** Thank you! Design and format are the two things we obsess over, so that means a lot. And yes, the drawing is one of our favorite touches too, sometimes a little doodle says what words cannot. So glad you are enjoying it.

### 4/5 — It’s pretty good

*2026-07-10*

I like it and it’s really simple. It could also just be me but the text is a little hard to read since it’s cursive. Other than that I like how it’s little time it takes “3 lines”

**Developer response:** Thank you! Quick tip that might help: the cursive is just the default, and there are other, more legible handwriting styles in the app you can switch to, so you can pick whatever is easiest on your eyes. Hope that makes the three lines even smoother. Really appreciate you giving it a try.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9.2 — 2026-08-11

new hand: clay.

thick, round, a little uneven, just like your handwriting. no two e's in a row come out the same, and it writes 21 of the languages triday speaks, romanian included.

the first few pages are warmer too, with a few marks in the margin to show what a scribble can be, and a line that signs itself once before it asks you to. underneath, the usual quiet tidying: steadier pages, smaller fixes, nothing you should have to think about.

three lines a day, as ever.

### 1.9.1 — 2026-07-29

back is a swipe, and the check knows when you're done.

anywhere there's a back arrow, you can now swipe in from the edge of the screen to get there. settings, your days, a day you opened to read: the same gesture the rest of your phone uses, and it follows the direction your language reads.

the check has learned when it has nothing left to do. before, a day you'd already written opened with a check sitting over your own words, as if the day were still waiting on you, and pressing it saved nothing. now it steps aside and lets a finished entry read as finished. change a single word and it comes straight back.

three lines a day, as ever.

### 1.9 — 2026-07-25

night is free now.

dusk and dark belong to everyone from today, because reading your own days should never depend on the hour. the page has learned the clock too, so the line that greets you in the morning is not the one waiting at midnight, and the evening bell now calls you by name. the paper grows as you write, rule by rule, so a long day never feels cramped.

three lines a day, as ever.

### 1.8.1 — 2026-07-21

a page that grows with you.

the paper now opens as you write. a new rule appears only when your words reach it, so the page is never emptier or shorter than the day you're having. long days still dissolve softly at the edges, and now whole words melt away instead of half a letter. three new cursive hands, too: 'ribbon', warm and flowing, 'quill', slanted and quick, and 'clover', an easy everyday hand. settings now shows you the hand that is really drawing your words. and the first page asks a little less of you, with an opening line that meets you at the hour you're writing.

three lines a day, as ever.

### 1.7 — 2026-07-17

words that never run off the page. (thanks Nits for suggesting this!)

long days now read in full. the words scroll gently, dissolving at the edges of the page, so no thought gets cut short. readable handwriting is free now too: the 'noon' hand, clear and easy on the eyes, for everyone. and a little gallery to pick your hand right from the start, plus a few quiet fixes to onboarding and the fit on taller screens.

three lines a day, as ever.
