Really takes away the obstacles of having too many things (function) in one page, which in turns lower the inner resistance to opening the app and writing something down. What really makes this app stand out though is the Dev. They are communicative, solution oriented and genuinely want to deliver a good product to our lives. I gave a feedback about the font and they immediately added more font selection. The handwriting font is driving me crazy but I did find one that is legible for me !! 😂 this is a user issue so I deep appreciate Dev for being receptive to the feedback and making changes so quickly!) **Developer response:** Okay, this review made us smile. Lowering that "inner resistance" to opening the app and writing one line is the entire reason triday exists, so this means a lot. Deleting. **Developer response:** Update: dark mode is now completely free for everyone, no subscription needed. You were right. Getting headaches from a bright screen is no small thing, and comfort is not something that should have sat behind a paywall. That is on us, and your review is what pushed us to change it. Thanks again for bringing this up. ### 1/5 — Illegible *2026-07-12* The default font is too difficult to read, and you’re unable to change the font to unless you subscribe to the paid version. This is intentional and slimy. Uninstalling. **Developer response:** You are right, and we hear you. That is on us. The good news: the latest update (1.6) adds a brand new font "noon" that is completely free for everyone and genuinely easy to read, no subscription needed. Thank you for the honest push, it made the app better. ### 4/5 — So Fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *2026-08-11* I like the app, except for one thing-it says you can change your font, but when i oressed one i wanted (yes it was free), it didnt change, so i was stuck with the cursive which is very hard to read. But otherwise, this is a great app!👍❤️ **Developer response:** Thank you, and sorry about that. There is one extra tap that is easy to miss: go to Settings, then Handwriting, swipe to noon (it is free), and then tap the Choose this button to lock it in. Selecting a hand only previews it, so without that last confirmation the app stays on the one you had. Give it a try and the new font should be live. If it still will not stick, email us the details at hi@triday.xyz and we will look into it properly. What the paid version really pays for is the work itself: triday is a small operation, and we have shipped more than 20 updates in the last three months alone, most of them straight from reviews like yours. It could also just be me but the text is a little hard to read since it’s cursive. Other than that I like how it’s little time it takes “3 lines” **Developer response:** Thank you! Quick tip that might help: the cursive is just the default, and there are other, more legible handwriting styles in the app you can switch to, so you can pick whatever is easiest on your eyes. Hope that makes the three lines even smoother. I’m confident people with dyslexia and other conditions would struggle greatly to navigate the app, never mind even get to the fonts menu for some. I really think there should be an alternative default font that makes it accessible for people with conditions such as these, so everyone has a fair chance to try the app. **Developer response:** Thank you for this, it is exactly the kind of feedback we want to hear. There are already some cleaner, more legible fonts in the app beyond the default, but your bigger point, that everyone should get a fair chance to read and use triday from the start, is well taken. It’s only a few lines at a time and there’s no pressure to try and put in a journal every single day. The days that I’ve missed I don’t stress over, but it’s nice having the little reminder to reflect on the day and to put something in it knowing that in a year from now (or longer) I’ll have something to reflect on. I love the handwritten touch and the pencil and eraser sounds and some fun flare.
