### 2/5 — Not for food ordering?

*2025-08-25, version 9.0.0*

Wants me to subscribe to something additional to the meal plans. So far cannot use app, will stick to website for managing meal plans.

### 4/5 — Easy to use, data security questions, doesn’t sync to Apple Health

*2025-02-18, version 9.0.0*

Very easy to use. I wish all the trifecta meals were already in the database (seems like this would be a no-brainer), but I find myself having to manually add a lot of them.

Main drawback is that it doesn’t export to the Health app.

Also, I suspect they share more data than they let on. Twice I completed the form requesting they not share my information but never received confirmation. Also, I have been scanning some snack products that are in my office (things I never buy for myself) and then only after scanning them I started getting recommendations from Amazon grocery to add those exact products to my cart.

### 3/5 — App Review

*2024-10-09, version 9.0.0*

I’ve used a few meal subscriptions and decided to give Trifecta a try. The app is terrible, it’s hard to find your subscription, change meals, & skip weeks. Should be easier to access

### 2/5 — BE CAREFUL IF YOU SIGN UP WITH V-SHRED!

*2024-03-09, version 9.0.0*

V-Shred gives you a code to use when you sign up.

It’s for 7 meals a month (I think that’s right)….

If you don’t enter the information correctly, you’ll get charged almost $200 EVERY WEEK!!!.

I had to cancel my card to get them to stop charging my account.

The food is fine, but I will not pay $800 a month for that food!

### 4/5 — Review

*2024-02-01, version 9.0.0*

The app was good but I can’t find all the trifecta meals that I subscribe to in the app. Would be better if it integrated the food service for logging.

### 3/5 — It’s Ok

*2024-01-27, version 9.0.0*

Changing and managing current meals is a little clunky.

### 3/5 — Need a option to just buy the food and not create a plan

*2024-01-06, version 9.0.0*

I don't like that the app seems to force you to provide unnecessary health info( such as weight) if you just want to purchase the food.
I’m working with a trainer so I’m covered there. They should have an option for people who don’t need to create a plan for them. I try to limit personal information I provide on apps (especially health related) unless it’s necessary.

### 3/5 — WOD won’t load

*2023-12-07, version 9.0.0*

The WOD won’t load or load one day and not the next.

### 1/5 — What a let down

*2023-11-27, version 9.0.0*

This app is trash anymore. I remember when there were never any problems with getting the workouts. I had a paid subscription and loved it. Then there were always problems with getting the daily workouts to show. Dropped my sub because that’s really what I used this for. I loved the fact that I no longer had to think and put my own together. I could just open the app, put it on my board, and get to work. Now there’s a whole week unaccounted for. It seems like the only thing this app cares about is getting people to buy those meals anymore which is sad. Maybe put more effort into the workout side of things instead of the money sucking side.

### 2/5 — Workouts

*2023-11-23, version 9.0.0*

I’m a big fan of the workouts and have been using the app for a long time. But currently new daily workouts aren’t loading. This has been going on for 4 days, and seems to happen once every few months. It seems to take a week or more to fix each time.

### 1/5 — Deceptive

*2023-11-13, version 9.0.0*

If there is no free access other than the trial that needs to be made clear before filling in personal information and making an account.

### 1/5 — Rip Off

*2023-10-29, version 9.0.0*

I subscribed to their Paleo Whole 30 Meal Plan (7/week) and the app. The first week meals were fine. The second week I only received 4 meals and one of them was just rice. I tried contacting the company but there was no support. So now I have decided to cancel my subscription and it’s mostly impossible due to their horrible app UI which appears to be just parsing their web interface. I am very disappointed. Would suggest you stay away right now this feels like a total rip off.

### 1/5 — Major technical issues

*2023-10-10, version 9.0.0*

I paid $50 for the annual subscription and within the first month, I experienced persistent technical issues that made the app practically unusable. About half the times I would enter the macros and meal information the whole app would freeze and then everything I entered for the entire day would disappear. It became so difficult to use that I just stopped. They said it was a known issue that had been fixed, but the problem continued after that. Maybe don’t charge people $50 for an app that clearly isn’t ready for use yet… especially when people are already paying $250/week on your food subscription (which is also massively overpriced for what it is.. at $15-16 per meal I may as well go to sweetgreen or something).

### 4/5 — so far so good

*2023-10-02, version 9.0.0*

App seems to work great, and i like seeing all the nutrition information, not just calories.

I am using this with the meal service and it would be nice if the meals were saved in the list of foods!!

Like, I eat the trifecta meal - brisket with cauliflower, but I have to just select generic brisket, generic cauliflower, the info for the meal is not in the list. i guess i could input it myself, but yikes!!

### 1/5 — App now no longer works

*2023-09-28, version 9.0.0*

When I first got this app, it was great and worked flawlessly. Now, it has devolved into a state of disrepair. I can no longer view my saved WODs, or see the different WODs for girls, heroes, and opens. Additionally, I recently lost the ability to see the daily WODs for the week. I now must go through the timer to only see the current day. And that’s if it even loads at all and doesn’t just continuously cycle. Most of my workouts now come from different websites that must be copied and pasted onto the app. I’ve reached out twice for help, only for them to take my initial report, then I never hear from the again. Time to move on.

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2023-08-31, version 9.0.0*

You’d think you’d be able to scan the Trifecta branded meals into the app… nope! Most of the meals aren’t even recognized. Even if you type the meals into the app, there’s nothing in the database that pops up. Dumbest oversight ever.

### 1/5 — App do not work and food don’t have variety

*2023-08-11, version 8.6.1*

Im super disappointed with Trifecta at the beginning like everything new was perfect… app was working amazingly and food variety was good… after my 1 st order I received same meal over and over again and even sometimes defrost… I pay for the premium App and this stop working and have to enter everything manually contact the support team more than 4 times and received same answer… “we are working on it” meanwhile please keep entering everything manually even their own food information… to me not worthy the money which I think its not a cheap one.

### 4/5 — App issue

*2023-07-14, version 8.6.1*

Love the app, but now it’s not letting me change the number of serving per food item I log.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pathetic

*2026-01-08, version 9.0.0*

Paying $250/wk for meals and I’m still required $12.99/mo to be able to see and track my macros?! A business model that is borderline extorting money from its customers will not get any additional money from me!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-12-16, version 9.0.0*

As a developer & as a user, this is among the top 3 worst apps I’ve ever used in the history of the smart phone. The interface is cluttered & the responsiveness reminds me of Windows 95. Horrible. Trash. Start over with a new app.

### 1/5 — Frustrating!

*2025-09-23, version 9.0.0*

I have logged in/out, deleted account and signed in, uninstalled and installed again but the workouts still fail to load. App does not need to be updated. Very glitchy.

### 1/5 — Need dedicated app

*2025-04-27, version 9.0.0*

Please make a dedicated app just for the meal plans. I do not want to track weight and calories. Just want an app to chose meals on weakly order. With that in mind this app is horrible.

### 1/5 — Get ready for Trifecta to steal your money

*2025-03-30, version 9.0.0*

I used Trifecta and this app for years, receiving two boxes every Friday, but often had difficulties pausing the service. There is no “pause account” or “cancel service” button on the dashboard. To pause or cancel your account, you must reach a human being.

Trifecta does have a “skip weeks” feature that allows you to skip specific weekly deliveries. After using the “skip” feature the week prior to a trip, I was charged for one box anyway. The staff gave conflicting, confused explanations, at first falsely claiming I had manually “unskipped” one box and then that my boxes had “separate subscription numbers.”

A sales manager, Dave, eventually described a complicated process by which I should have “toggled” into a second box—a feature not visible on the main dashboard—to fully skip the order. When I asked him: “How could I have known that I needed to go through these steps to skip an order?,” Dave reiterated that my money would not be refunded and hung up the phone.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work As Described

*2024-05-18, version 9.0.0*

Does not scan Trifekta meals. Search does not contain all Trifekta meals. Also does not connect to Apple Watch for fitness activity.

### 1/5 — App’s nutrition tracking is unusable

*2024-05-05, version 9.0.0*

The app has a predefined list of meals and ingredients, which is helpful, but if you ever eat anything not on the list there’s no way of entering anything manually, and hence no way of tracking it. Missing such a basic feature makes the app basically useless as a diet tracker.

The exercise tracker isn’t great, either: if you go on a run, you can log either the time or the distance, but not both.

### 1/5 — App is useless without a paid plan.

*2024-01-21, version 9.0.0*

On top of that the 14-day free trial they mention in the app description is non-existent.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2024-01-21, version 9.0.0*

I had high hopes for this app but was disappointed as soon as I tried to enter the first food item into the log. It doesn’t allow you to change measures (ie. TB to OZ) for specific items. You have to search through and find a close alternative to enter the measurements you want.
If you create a recipe it doesn’t enter the name of the recipe and just macros for the recipe , it list all the ingredients in your recipe when you log your meal.
The app and database need major improvements.

### 1/5 — Slow, a lot of bugs, & food subscription sketchy

*2023-12-03, version 9.0.0*

1. Can’t edit your food subscription in the app.
2. When looking at your subscription, interface is laggy and very slow.
3. In nutrition section, you can’t enter barcodes manually (writing the barcode number). Would be very useful, since the barcodes that come with the trifecta prepared meals are sometimes smudged & very hard for the camera to pick up — entering barcode numbers manually is necessary.
4. Can’t export your nutrition diary.
5. Not even close to what other nutrition tracking apps can do.

***For the price of the the food & and this app’s subscription, I’m very disappointed with this app. I would not recommend it. If you need to track your nutrition, use other apps.

***As far as food subscription, I’m thinking on canceling that as well…
After my first, CUSTOM 14 meal, order arrived, I received an email saying that some of the custom items in the next week’s order are out of order because of “high demand”…
>>>That is sketchy, because they claim that the food is being cooked the week of the shipment… so how can it be out of order if it hasn’t been cooked yet?
They are asking you to update your custom meals within 24 hours, or chef will pick meals for you.
When I go online (website - NOT app) to update my meal — there are very little, to no other options to choose from.

***From what I’m getting, they initially entice you with a large variety of items for your custom order, and then trick you to switch to items that they want you to include each week.
Very sketchy indeed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best workout app!

*2024-08-31, version 9.0.0*

I’ve used this app for over 1 year now and I’ve really loved it! It pushes me to my limits and keeps me from getting bored with my workouts. It works all body parts and incorporates cardio!

### 5/5 — Great, but…

*2024-07-31, version 9.0.0*

Food is good and easy to log. I wish the app had some place where i could keep track of my daily digestion and other observations I might make

### 5/5 — Trifecta company

*2023-04-01, version 8.5.0*

I have been with Trifecta for about 12 seasons now. I like how the food is always evolving depending on fresh availability. The delivery system is super easy to use and very convenient especially when going out of town (with forthought). I was able to learn how to start tracking macros with the Trifecta app and really enjoy the accountability and comradely of the Trifecta Facebook group. As I evolve is seems that Trifecta Company does right along with me. Very grateful for the forward thinking company and their continued growth towards affordable, fresh, planet friendly food delivery options and more.

### 5/5 — 🤞💪

*2023-03-24, version 8.4.1*

Have been using the trifecta app along with my meal plans for 5 months now and have lost 70lbs and have made life changing improvements to my nutritional knowledge and eating habits thanks to TRIFECTA!!!

### 5/5 — This program works!

*2023-02-20, version 8.2.0*

I love this app, the information, and the food tracking I am now 15 pounds down and keeping it off!

### 5/5 — All in one app

*2023-02-19, version 8.2.0*

I love the Trifecta app. I can track my food intake and also find daily WODs that include a warm up and strength segment. An added bonus is the workout timers that are included and preprogrammed for the WOD. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Great all in one app

*2023-02-05, version 8.2.0*

This is a great all in one app. I’ve been using it every day for tracking macros and when I train, whether using the workout plans or just the timers that are essential for the workouts I enjoy. The workout plans are great too with the A and B variations because I travel a lot for work and don’t always have access to equipment. It keep its interesting and at just the right intensity.

### 5/5 — Love This App

*2023-01-30, version 8.1.0*

I started using this app back in May and I love it. It really helps me track of my micros. I love the barcode scan feature.

### 5/5 — Food Desert

*2023-01-23, version 8.1.0*

Living in a food desert and having the closest grocery store 30 minutes away I have found it extremely difficult to reach my goals. And even if I was good for a while about making it to the store the food quality was lacking. It was very discouraging and sucked all motivation out me. When I found trifecta, not only was the food quality there but it also integrated flawlessly with an app that helps you reach your goals. Calculating your macros every step of the way with a customized meal plan. Starting to get great results and look forward to my meals every week. I am doing keto meal plan and so far has been great. Highly recommend to try out trifecta.

### 5/5 — Best thing I bought myself this yeae

*2023-01-20, version 8.0.0*

The paleo meals are consistently delicious, the packaging is sustainable, and the program ultimately saves me time, money, and reduces waste. I have been easily losing weight while feeling fortified for my workouts. Couldn't be happier with this investment in myself.
