### 4/5 — Works with iPhone 13 Pro

*2022-09-07, version 4.1.9*

Just use the lightning to headphone adapter. The triggertrap with the attached cable plugs into it.

I had it backwards using the small cable extension to headphone cable.

I just wish this app was updated so we can use the iPhone camera so we can use external flash. I’d love to set the iso, shutter, aperture on the iPhone app and connect it with an external flash. Maybe use the slow motion video to determine the sync delay so when the app fires, it captures the flash!

I’m sure more triggers would sell if that was possible!!!

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with iOS 14

*2021-06-11, version 4.1.9*

Please update the app. It doesn’t do anything with my iPhone X using iOS 14.

### 2/5 — Not working after update

*2018-10-05*

Latest update broke ability to take multiple exposures in Star trail and timelapse modes.

### 4/5 — Thanks for keeping this alive

*2018-05-08, version 4.1.3*

I’m able to open it on my iPhone X with no problem. I’ll have to run it through the different modes for a better eval, but thanks for making the effort to keep this app working. I still have the dongle so it will be nice to use again.

### 2/5 — Wow

*2018-01-28*

All I can say is where do I get one

### 3/5 — Great but not great

*2016-12-22*

I been using this app with my sony@65 and lately it's giving me trouble. It works for 15 shots(when shooting star-trail) then it stops taking pictures. 😩😡

### 1/5 — Not sure

*2016-09-13, version 4.1.2*

When I bought the app it kinda worked, not every setting was functioning properly but I thought I wasn't working it right, now all the setting either don't work at all or the don't work properly.. I'm waiting for some kind of upgrade to fix this!!

### 3/5 — broken with sony firmware update 3.2 on A7

*2016-09-12*

was working before the update havent yet checked the A7RII as am abroad with only the A7

### 5/5 — Yay for Pebble support!

*2016-05-19*

Support for the Pebble smart watch? Thank you very much Triggertrap!

I've had the trigger trap dongle working with my Olympus Pen, E-PL3, EP-M2 and Panasonic G1.

Using the flash adapter I am able to trigger my Yongnuo YN-560-iii.

At the moment it seems that the triggertrap can't trigger the camera and an off camera flash at the same time.

### 4/5 — So close...

*2016-02-14*

Very good app and works well!
My only disappointment is the type being so small!
Lots of room, but why you made the font so small is really strange?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No such thing as WiFi trigger now.

*2019-03-27*

This was a great bit of kit for my camera when I bought it.
But now the WiFi trigger feature doesn’t work at all... I recommended this to a lot of my friends and bought different cables for all my cameras just before the company liquidated.

What a waste of everyone’s money now, all because the developers can’t be bothered keeping on top of the app.

### 1/5 — Deceptive item

*2018-11-17, version 4.1.6*

Great idea, until you try to use it, and then find you have to buy a 30 odd dollar connector for your camera to work.

### 1/5 — No longer works for Sony a6000

*2018-10-06*

I used to use this for star trails and time lapse but the new version just shoots the first picture now and I can’t figure out why. I wish you could reinstall old versions.

### 1/5 — Just updated

*2018-05-18*

Just updated and now I get freezing and crashes on three separate up to date devices. I usually use the app once a week or so so now I’m a little stuck!

### 1/5 — Not working

*2018-05-16*

It was working fine until new update now it just freezes my phone so now I can’t use it.
Please fix this. Thank you.

### 1/5 — Loved this app - HOWEVER since the recent update

*2018-05-08*

Since the T1 open source update 3 days ago the app crashes every time (fails to get beyond the first splash screen). Am running iOS 11.3.1 on an iPhone 6.

### 1/5 — Where did Apple Watch support go

*2018-05-08*

So happy to see update today. Jumped on it before reading all the text. When it was done suddenly realized that Apple Watch was gone. I’ve been using it for months now. Really useful for cable release from a distance. Can’t jump back to previous because of iTunes 12.7 Ahhhh help. If you use the watch app like me don’t make the same mistake Ahhhhhh

### 1/5 — Out of business

*2017-11-19*

These guys have gone out of business loved the idea , don’t know what happened

### 1/5 — Don't buy

*2017-07-19, version 4.1.2*

Hardware is no longer available...out of business

### 1/5 — Manual focus only

*2016-09-19, version 4.1.2*

I didn't realize the device required with this app works in manual focus only, which renders it nearly useless. I definitely would not have bought it had I known and this limitation is not well advertised.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I’m back on board...

*2019-10-11*

Noticed the update and going to pull the dongle out the cupboard!

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2019-04-10, version 4.1.8*

We have used nearly every feature in this app with the TriggerTrap Dongle, TriggerTrap flash adapter, and Canon cameras.

We have been able to catch pellets in mid-air as they exit a water balloon, photograph multiple angles at the same moment of a balloon bursting from a pellet, the HDR settings, time-lapse, and more.

I have contacted TriggerTrap support asking for specific information regarding actual flash delay on my specific phone, the iPhone 6+. A response came immediately stating they would check into it and then a day later I had the average durations with airplane mode enabled and disabled. Really can't beat that level of service.

We have used the TriggerTrap flash adapter with Yongnuo flashes and triggers without issue.

I highly recommend this app and accessories for your photographic needs.

### 5/5 — Thankful

*2019-03-30, version 4.1.7*

Very happily surprised this app continues to be updated although the hardware is no longer sold. It allows me to continue to enjoy my purchase years ago.

Thank you!

### 5/5 — Life after death

*2019-01-04*

Although Triggertrap have gone bust, we have a skilled and generous person continuing with software development. Thank you for your support. It is invaluable.

### 5/5 — Happy me

*2018-10-10*

Work great! Very happy...! 😉

### 5/5 — Staying’ Alive

*2018-10-03, version 4.1.5*

The BeeGees song popped in my head when I saw the update. This is awesome!

### 5/5 — Thx very much

*2018-05-06*

Great that someone has the knowledge to update this and share it many thx as it’s a great app

### 5/5 — TriggerTrap Lives On! Yeeessssss!

*2018-05-05*

A BIG THANKS goes out to the dedicated and passionate folk who have stepped-up to task of keeping this app running and up to date, despite the sad closure of the original TriggerTrap start-up enterprise. It’s such a great bit of kit, it is well regarded by its many users and will no doubt continue to live on thanks to its dedicated users across the globe. TriggerTrapForever!

### 5/5 — Top props

*2018-05-05*

Amazing that someone wrote an update for this app. Top props to them. Would 100% buy them a beer.

### 5/5 — Trigger trap

*2016-08-11*

Simply superb bit of photo kit. Clear, concise, fun, smart and a tool you'll grow to love with time. Great for Astro pics and time lapse shots. Please however Apple, recognise this as an audio app as it relies upon Audio signals to operate (via cable into headphone socket). You'll need the dongle kit hardware to run via dslr.

Great app, no ads, never crashed on me yet.
