## What is TrimrPix?

I built TrimrPix to do one thing well. It makes the photos in your iPhone library smaller, and it replaces the originals in place. There is no duplicate album to clean up afterwards, nothing is uploaded, and it needs no internet connection.

Most photo compressors save a smaller copy and leave the original behind, so you end up sorting out a "Compressed" album by hand. TrimrPix replaces the photo directly in your library instead. Pick your photos, choose your settings, slide to confirm.

Compressing replaces your originals and cannot be undone, so TrimrPix shows the estimated saving first and asks you to slide to confirm before anything changes.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-11

Custom target size: in Target size mode you can now enter any size you like — not just the presets — so you can hit an exact upload or attachment limit. Same fast, in-place compression, no duplicates.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-16

Now available in Danish, German, French, and Japanese.

The savings estimate now shows the size in megabytes next to the percentage, and the result screen tracks the total space you've saved over time.

Also: more reliable in-place replacement and a new app icon.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-08

New: Target size mode.

Tell TrimrPix to get each photo under a size you choose — 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB, or 5 MB — and it dials in the quality automatically to fit. Photos already smaller than your target are left untouched.

Also in this release: lighter on memory with large batches, plus a handful of polish and reliability fixes.

As always — everything happens on your device, originals are replaced in place, and there are no duplicates.
