## What is Trip Planner?

Right now your trip lives in five places: a notes app, a spreadsheet, your inbox, a group chat, and your head. NomadPoint puts it in one, then does what a spreadsheet cannot. It notices the night with no hotel, tells you when a gate changes, and shows every stop and route on a map.

It also counts your days. Other trip planners hand the border rules back to you; this one checks them. It works out how long you can stay in each country on each passport, against 39,601 entry rules, and warns you when your passport is getting too close to expiry to travel on. A trip that looks fine on a calendar can still break a border rule, and you hear about it here, before you book, not from the officer at the desk.

Build a multi-city trip in a few minutes. Flights, hotels, activities and reservations sit on one timeline in the order you will live them, each in the local time of the place it happens. It all works on the plane, with no signal.

Forward a hotel confirmation and it becomes a trip item. Connect your calendar and your flights show up on their own. You do not retype anything.

WHAT TRAVELERS SAY

"I'll never travel again without it" (App Store review, United States)
"Finally, everything in one place. Makes planning way less stressful" (App Store review, Canada)
"No clutter, no random extra buttons everywhere, just simple and easy to read even with a full itinerary loaded" (App Store review, United States)
"This app just solved the UX of trip planning" (App Store review, Israel)

WHAT'S IN IT

- Trip map: every stop and the route between them
- Days left: how long you can stay in each country, per passport
- Entry rules: 39,601 of them, checked before you book
- Passport expiry: flagged early enough to renew
- Gate, terminal and delays: updated as they change, on your Lock Screen too
- Passports, tickets and bookings: in one wallet, readable with no signal
- Shared trips: one plan your whole group can edit at the same time
- Email import: Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Vrbo and the airlines
- Calendar import: Google, Apple, or any calendar you subscribe to
- Country notes: which SIM to buy, how people pay, how to get around, for 75 countries
- Weather and time zones on every day of the trip
- Widgets, Live Activity and Apple Watch: next flight and gate without opening the app
- iPhone, iPad, Mac and Watch: the same trip everywhere

### 5/5 — Great travel app

*2026-09-01*

Just downloaded the app and it looks really promising. Very intuitive, lots of useful info, fast and really nice design overall.

### 5/5 — Finally, an actually beautiful and useful travel app and organizer for nomads and travelers

*2026-08-29*

I've been traveling as a digital nomad for about two years, moving countries roughly every month, and the visa side of things has always been the most stressful part. I used to end up googling entry requirements the night before a flight just to be sure. This app actually tracks that for me now, with a countdown for each visa, and it flagged that my passport was getting close to the 6-month rule before I'd even thought to check.

It’s also amazing having flights, stays, and each day laid out in one timeline instead of switching between five different apps. Incredibly it pulls details straight from my booking emails, so I'm not manually typing in flight numbers!

As a graphic designer I’m also so impressed by the design of this app. No clutter, no random extra buttons everywhere, just simple and easy to read even with a full itinerary loaded. This is the first travel app that has really gotten everything right for travelers.

### 5/5 — I’ll never travel again without it

*2026-08-11*

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2026-07-30*

### 5/5 — Finally, everything in one place

*2026-02-19*

Helps me track visa dates, flights, and even see who’ll be in the same city. Makes planning way less stressful.

### 5/5 — THE ONLY app digital nomads need!

*2026-02-08*

This app for digital nomads has been a lifesaver for me while traveling! From letting me know the travel requirements for the new place I’m traveling to, to friend trip overlap alerts, to organizing my travel journey, I’m just obsessed with this app!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.4 — 2026-09-07

Onboarding now shows the alerts you'll get as real notifications over your route, and hands back a cleaner trip at the end.

Notifications cover the whole trip instead of just its edges, and one Travel Intelligence switch in Settings controls all of them.

Every item wears the same mark on the rail, on the map and at the top of its own page.

The documents vault shows what a travel companion has shared with you.

### 1.4.3 — 2026-09-04

A shared list for everyone on the trip.

- Every trip now has one list — what to book, what to pack, what to
remember. Anyone travelling with you can add to it, tick things off
and clear them, and it all syncs as it happens.
- See who else has the trip open right now, and where they're typing.
- Rides on your itinerary that run over an hour read "1h 18m" instead
  of "78 min".
- One eSIM reminder per arrival instead of one for every stop.
- Smoother scrolling through a long trip on a phone in Low Power Mode.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-08-31

Ask Siri, find it faster, and plan a day right on the map.

- Ask Siri or Shortcuts for your next flight, your current stay, or today's plan
- Universal search finds a trip, stop or document from the home screen
- Export a trip as a CSV
- Plan a day on the map: readable, filterable, re-timeable legs between your stops
- Invite a view-only collaborator to a trip
- Share a place from any other app straight onto your itinerary
- Fully translated app, end to end
- Rebuilt notifications: your day, jet lag, border crossings, and a re-timed flight

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-28

Backfill your cost history, country by country.

- Answer a few questions about a country - what a night cost, what you ate, how you got around - and it fills in every stop there, skipping any day that already has a real receipt.
- Every question now shows what it costs per day, and every answer shows its own price, so you can see exactly what moved the total.
- The Budget page can look back at a specific month or year, not just this month and all time.
- A border page now tells you who else on the trip enters the same way, instead of only answering for you.
- Fixed: a walking route researched for a different trip could show up on your airport transfer.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-27

Budget: know what the trip costs.

- A new Budget page. Record what you spend, see it against what the trip is estimated to cost, and set a target either per month or for the whole journey.
- Stays and flights can carry the price you actually booked them at, in the currency you paid in.
- See where the money goes by category, and how your spending moves over the course of the trip.

A new way in.

- Rebuilt welcome and onboarding: your trip draws itself on the globe as you create it, and the first screen afterwards is the day the trip actually starts.
- Invite a friend and you both get Pro.

Also in this release:

- Search now finds destinations, not just countries. Type Bali or Chiang Mai and the place comes up, with that country's entry rules one tap away.
- The document editor shows the document itself: see the file you are editing, add a page or remove one, instead of deleting it and starting over.
- Your Status page sections are yours to reorder or turn off.
- Live Activities now show the airline and your boarding details.
- Every form in the app works the same way, wherever you meet it.
- Your trip refreshes when the app opens offline or right after you sign up, instead of showing stale data.
- Fixed the widget showing a years-old stay, or a place you have not booked into yet, as where you are now.
- Fixed the departure airport being guessed from your town's name instead of from where you actually are.
- Redesigned the day cards on the map, and the Save Route button no longer runs off the edge of the screen.
- Mac: the map no longer goes blank when the panel is expanded.
- Fixed the Sign in button disappearing from the welcome screen.
- Fixed dates being cut off when setting up your first trip, and the price being hidden on the upgrade page.
