## What is Trip Report?

Trip Report turns tracks, instrument data, and photos into polished records of your journeys—complete with maps, photographs, stops, legs, and detailed statistics.

View, explore, export, and share your trips for free:

- View Reports: Browse complete trip reports, photographs, stops, legs, and journey statistics.
- Explore Maps: Follow trips and recorded tracks on an interactive map.
- Review Analytics: Explore the wind, speed, and elevation analysis available for each trip type.
- Sync with iCloud: Keep trips and report data synchronized across Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
- Export to PDF: Preview and export reports as PDF on iPhone and iPad.
- Share with iCloud: Share trips you own through read-only links, or open trips shared with you.

Trip Report supports Sailing, Boating, Road, and Hike trips, with terminology, analysis, and presentation tailored to each journey.

A Trip Report subscription adds creation and editing tools on iPad. The iPhone app is a free trip viewer with map exploration, PDF export, and sharing.

- Create Trips: Build new Sailing, Boating, Road, and Hike reports.
- Import Tracks: Import GPX files or retrieve Sailing and Boating data from Signal K.
- Add Photos: Import from Photos or Files. Trip Report uses capture times to align photos with recorded track positions while preserving existing geotags.
- Automate Your Report: Segment imported tracks into stops and legs, or reconstruct Road trips from geotagged photos.
- Draw Missing Routes: Create routes directly on the map when recorded track data is unavailable.
- Add the Details: Edit notes, times, locations, stops, and legs, and reuse saved locations across trips.
- Curate the Report: Choose photos and create reports with route maps, galleries, activity highlights, and journey statistics.
- Update a Public Sailing Website: Update an existing public-data publication and export its static website through Files. Initial publishing and withdrawal are completed on Mac.

Use Trip Report free on iPhone to view, explore, export, and share. On iPad, those same features are free, while a subscription unlocks trip creation and editing. Trips synchronize through iCloud with Trip Report on Mac.
