After booking an expensive flight through them a few weeks ago, I discovered an unexplained charge of more than $1,300 on my account. I have made several attempts to contact them to get a clear explanation, but unfortunately, I have received no response. The lack of communication and customer support is extremely frustrating. I have also noticed reviews from other customers describing similar issues, including difficulties reaching the company when problems arise during their trips, leaving travelers struggling to get assistance while dealing with airport or flight-related issues. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage travelers to do their research and carefully review all charges and the company’s customer-service policies before booking. For me, even a one-star rating feels generous. I use their booking platform and don’t have a problem with presenting booking however the forums are the true draw to TripAdvisor. However it has recently had a redesign and now instead of listings, everything is in map view. No way of getting the top 10 restaurants or bars in order, just spread on a map. Not usable at all. No easy option to switch to a list view that I can find so I have to assume it’s not there. So for me the app is now pointless. I’ll be deleting it if it isn’t fixed. ### 1/5 — Map-first redesign makes the iOS app unusable for trip planning *2026-08-15, version 69.3.0* To the TripAdvisor Product Team, I am writing to express my severe disappointment with the recent app redesign that forces a map-first view and removes the straightforward restaurant list and activities views.  I am currently on a trip to Montreal, and this update has completely ruined my ability to discover new places. Forcing users to explore exclusively via map boundaries instead of a scrollable, ranked list is a massive step backward for user experience. The map filtering method leaves out a significant number of locations within the search area and pinching and zooming and trying to browse things to do in an area is cumbersome.   It is frustrating, inefficient, and makes the app completely unusable for how I plan my travel activities and dining.  Please bring back a dedicated, easily accessible "List View" toggle for restaurant and local searches. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel has so much charm, history, and character, and our entire experience was fantastic. A special shoutout to the bellman and valet staff—they were absolutely amazing! They were friendly, professional, attentive, and always willing to help. Their outstanding service really stood out and made our arrival, departure, and everything in between so easy and enjoyable. It’s those little personal touches and genuinely friendly interactions that make a stay memorable. We truly enjoyed our time at The Marshall House and would absolutely stay here again. If you’re visiting Savannah and want a beautiful historic hotel with wonderful hospitality and exceptional service, we highly recommend it! The people were lovely, the sights were historic, the deals were amazing, and our time was memorable. At the hotel Chef Gopi, Chef Pradeep were excellent cooks and the wait staff, Mr Dominic, Mr Sushant, Mr Ashray, and Mr Vishal were all very attentive. Our breakfasts were all fantastic. We especially loved tbe French toast, made to order omelettes, and the made to order pancakes, and Waffles. We also loved all the fresh juices, and a host of local favorites.
