What I’ve noticed is the upload is inconsistent. Sometimes works and sometimes it’s just plain broken and I have to start over. The frustrating thing is that if I have to start one over then the whole set has to start over. Which is crazy because they don’t show to the end user as a set. I have to rewrite all my messages and everything. It’s really frustrating. ### 2/5 — Lots of problems *2026-04-27, version 4.3.2* It seems the app wasn't really tested and debugged. So many little things that keep failing. Often we get errors even trying to update 1 picture. Alerts are buggy and lots of other errors and failures. ### 3/5 — One month in… *2026-01-31, version 4.3* I’ve been using this app for about a month as I study abroad. It’s often difficult to upload multiple photos from my phone and sometimes this occurs with just one photo. I’ve also noticed that photo quality isn’t as good as Apple’s native app. The location feature is a cool idea, but you have to set the location in the Apple photo app, using Apple Maps. Point is, it’s annoying that Apple Maps isn’t the greatest and you can’t update the location in the Tripcast app. There no way to edit items without deleting them. And if you add a caption to the images/videos, the system will claim it’s a comment instead of a caption. ### 3/5 — Ok *2025-10-09, version 4.2.5* Like the format but upload of videos with a weak wifi signal is impossible. Can’t edit posts once submitted which is annoying if you have typos ### 2/5 — Freezes up *2025-10-07, version 4.2.5* I have a difficult time uploading and downloading pictures in this app using my iPhone. I have selected and edited pictures up to three times before giving up. It looks like pictures are loading then but then it just freezes up. I repeatedly have to remove and reinstall the app. Unfortunately the groups I travel with only use this app to share pictures. Many times there are people who want one of my pics so I send them by email rather than by the app. But when it does work it can be nice ! ### 3/5 — Upload Losses *2025-07-31, version 4.2.5* I have created comments for so many freaking posts on wi-fi, only have them dropped. Would like to have a temporary place to store posts to work on before I post them. ### 1/5 — No longer a user - very disappointed *2024-06-24, version 4.2.5* Tripcast is a very good travel diary app, and until recently my ‘go to’ travel app. Unfortunately Tripcast now requires my family members to setup an account for our holiday travel shares. They simply don’t want that inconvenience. Unless this feature is reinstated I will not be using Tripcast (and Cluster) again. I hope the developers can find a secure method of allowing us to share our journeys without forcing family to open an account. Very disappointed. I am trying to create the 5th book from a trip and the photo selection has ceased to scroll for me to add pages on the 5.5” glued soft back book requested. I need the program specialists to resolve this issue. I have spent some 5 days trying to get help from cluster support without a solution to the problem. I would appreciate a resolution to this problem. ### 1/5 — Freezes on uploads. *2025-11-07, version 4.2.5* Waste of money. Feels like a ten year old interface and freezes like one. I want my money back. ### 1/5 — Flagged photos *2025-10-12, version 4.2.5* I was thrilled with Tripcast until the last day of our group trip to New England. Someone misunderstood what flagging a photo meant. I posted 104 photos and labeled most of them. The last day one person went through and flagged a lot of my photos. Now they are all darkened with a flag in the middle. When I click on the photo, it tells me who flagged it and there is only a message asking to remove the photo. That was an extremely disappointing end to my trip. I cannot see the photos I posted to show my friends and family. Short of me deleting them and reposting most of my 104 photos, I have not found a way to undo this mess. There needs to be a better way for people to use this app and understand that when what flagging a photo means!!! ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work as advertised *2025-06-23, version 4.2.5* Our travel group decided to use Tripcast to share photos. Others are having some success. It doesn’t work for me on a current Mac. Clicking on the Post button yields an error message: “Too many redirects.” Same result in both Safari and Firefox Their customer service is non-existent. ### 1/5 — Can’t even enter the app *2025-05-30, version 4.2.5* The title says it all I have an account on my phone and I’m trying to log into the account from my iPad but it won’t let me. ### 1/5 — What for *2025-02-23, version 4.2.5* Can’t edit pictures. A waste of time don’t need 450 photos 435 aren’t worthy ### 1/5 — not a good place to store memories *2025-02-16, version 4.2.5* I highly recommend that you do not use this app to store memories of trips. Main reason being that all photos and videos that are uploaded are compressed way too much and they end up looking very, very pixelated and horrible quality. because of this lots of memories have been gone because the pictures are no longer recognizable, even though they were shot on like the best camera ever. ### 1/5 — Buggy and Basic *2024-09-26, version 4.2.5* Disappointing. App has not been tested properly. I can break it by making a long comment with a photo and it isn't that long. You can't edit existing comments or replace a photo. The recent changes to get paid subscriptions seems to have broken the flow. First of all, I don’t see why you’d have bothCluster and Tripcast apps when they provide almost identical features. Use one and combine the geo location feature with the photo/video sharing you’d have less to maintain and your costs would go down. Secondly, how can you remove Tripcast from the Google Play store before having an update available? You leave everyone hanging that isn’t on IOS. Lastly, for me the map feature stopped working recently. After looking at some of the changes I thought it was due to going over the 1,000 posts per group for the free service so I upgraded to the “friends” level. The map still doesn’t show the location where the pictures are taken in my iOS app. I tried to exchange emails with support to get this resolved but so far I’ve received nothing that helps. And yes, location is turned on, I deleted and reinstalled the app,…. None of that works and at this point I believe I need something from the Cluster support but am not getting anything.
