## What is TripEase?

Planning a vacation shouldn't take all afternoon.

Tell TripEase where you want to go, when you're traveling, and what you love. Get a complete vacation plan with things to do, places to eat, ways to get around, places to stay, and estimated costs - organized into one itinerary.

PLAN YOUR VACATION YOUR WAY

Describe your getaway just like you would to a friend. Type it or say it out loud. Whether it's four days in Tokyo with the girls, a romantic weekend in Paris, or your first trip to Rome, TripEase builds around you.

YOUR WHOLE TRIP, PLANNED

See your vacation day by day and stop by stop. TripEase organizes your itinerary on a map and helps you make sense of where everything fits.

FIND WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY LOVE

Discover things to do and places to eat based on your interests, budget, schedule, and where you'll actually be, not just a generic list of what's popular.

SEE HOW TO GET THERE

Compare ways to get between stops, explore transportation options, and see how long each part of your journey takes.

KNOW WHAT IT'LL COST

See estimated costs across your vacation, from flights and stays to transportation, food, and activities, so you can plan around your budget before you go.

FIND THE RIGHT PLACE TO STAY

Find accommodations based on where your itinerary actually takes you, so you can spend less of your vacation getting from your hotel to everything else.

PLANS CHANGE. YOUR ITINERARY CAN TOO.

Want a slower day? Different restaurant? Something cheaper? Tell TripEase what you want changed and update your existing vacation without starting over.

PLAN AROUND YOUR LIFE

Connect your calendar and TripEase can plan around your existing schedule, including meetings and other commitments.

SHARE YOUR TRAVELS

Share a finished vacation with friends and family, and turn the places you've visited into your Year in the Air - a visual recap of your flights, countries, days away, and distance traveled.

START FOR FREE

Your first vacation plan is free. Upgrade to TripEase Pro for more planning and itinerary changes, or purchase a single additional plan without a subscription.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.1 — 2026-09-20

Fixed the step that asks where you are flying from.

With the keyboard up, the list of matching cities opened below the bottom of the screen, and the page pulled itself back whenever you scrolled to reach it. The box now sits at the top with the cities listed under it, and the page stays where you leave it.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-20

Your year in the air has been redrawn. The globe is bigger, three counts climb as the reel plays (flights, countries, days away), and it signs off with the app icon beside the name.

Calibration and refine are newly illustrated, and a calibration left half-answered now picks up where it stopped.

Ideas come with photographs, and there are more places to search.

Somewhere you can reach by road offers the ground options rather than a flight, and a pasted stay link has a step of its own.

### 1.5.3 — 2026-09-19

Trips can have their own names. Tap the pencil beside a trip and call it something you will recognize later.

Dates are picked on a wheel now instead of typed, which is quicker and harder to get wrong.

The passport page has been cleaned up, and reads your nationality off the document instead of asking for it.

Yearly plans cost less: Pro is now $70 a year and Group is $149.

One new question. iOS will ask once whether an advert that brought you here may be credited with it. Saying no changes nothing about how the app works, and section 5h of the privacy policy sets out what is sent either way.

### 1.5.2 — 2026-09-17

Passports and visas

Add a passport by holding the camera over its photo page, or by typing the details in. Every plan is then checked against it: what the destination asks of that passport, whether a visa or an ETA is still needed, and what a visa you already hold covers. Reminders arrive six and three months before it expires.

The check is arithmetic over a table carried on your phone, so it answers with no signal and asks nothing of anyone. The passport number, your name and your date of birth are never read or kept.

A picture of where you are going

Every trip now carries a photograph of its destination, on the trip itself and everywhere it is listed. The switch that used to turn these off has gone, and with it the Photographs page in Settings; what it explained is in the privacy policy, under section 5g.

Getting started

The first screen takes one press instead of three.

Fixed

Home pages were cutting off their last card in a straight line above the tab bar. They reach the bottom of the screen now.

Today's timetable opened at eight in the morning whatever the time, so by the evening most of it was hours nobody could plan into. It starts at the hour you are in.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-16

"Start over" no longer closes the app.

In 1.5.0 the three buttons that begin again could shut it down on the first tap: Start over on the questions, Start over on a plan that failed, and the confirmation behind "Exit without saving".

German and Spanish now reach every screen.

The app picked your language at the first screen and then drew English on most of what came after it. Around nine hundred lines behind that screen were still English, including the notes under a plan, and they are in your language now.

Notifications are four switches, one for each kind.

Upcoming trips, unfinished plans, suggested destinations and holiday reminders each have their own switch, and subscribing no longer hides the page. Switching all four off stops everything the app would send.
