I restarted, I was mid game and it brought up an error message and crashed, when I reloaded the app I got a message saying something along the lines of, ‘you have been punished for leaving mid game’. Then I noticed a handful of things that turned me off and ended up deleting the game. Still a great game that’s why I’m giving it three stars five if they can fix the mechanics by adjusting things. It was almost like the computer knew what I was going to play. There were so many times that it play the perfect card in the most crazy chance that they had that card specifically. You work really hard to get good cards and the computer ends up having the perfect answer to take one of them away. If you end up purchasing the game credit, you can definitely get the right cards to play and win. Which that would make it way too easy. I feel like they should make it so you can sell the extra cards. You have to get credit to buy new cards. To me that would’ve fixed the game enough for me to give it four stars possibly five. That way you’re not losing out on all your effort in one game. Cleared it like a vet in an hour. Went to online mode and it was a ghost town, decided to wait it out and found a few matches. 5 Cloud’s ready to rock. But no one wants the smoke, they quit after the first two moves. Great single player mode, hope you expand to include all the rules and mechanics. Second if you lose a card because of the stupid implementation of same and plus, which the cpu always knows and takes advantage of, you should be able to win the card back, or able to remove the rules as you see fit, maybe take Gil down for wins with less rules? It’s infuriating when the cpu hits you with a same or plus and you end up losing and they take a card you spent 2500 Gil on and no way to win it back. ### 1/5 — Not worth it. I’ll just find something better elsewhere *2024-06-04, version 1.8.48* I had high hopes for this app because I grew up playing final fantasy and remember this game from my childhood. But if you’re looking for anything like the experience from the game save yourself the heartache and disappointment. It doesn’t seem realistic to play and actually get any cards from it. Unless you’re willing to just constantly spend real money for it. Oh, but even then you spend money for a card and then they’ll take the card and you have no way or idea how to get it back unless you spend money. I was in the middle of a game when my phone was acting buggy so I closed it and then get punished for it by my cards being taken. So. Cool. I would’ve given it no stars but I don't think I can leave zero stars and a review. ### 2/5 — Beware When Creating Account *2024-04-27, version 1.8.48* My email and password I used for this game was found on the dark web. The way the user interface appeared when I initially created an account was suspicious and very lacking in providing confidence and security. Come to find out that the email button in game sends an email directly to the creator and owner of this app. A few days after I created my account, I got a notification through my security services saying my email and password was found on the dark web. Luckily the password I used was unique to this particular app. Anyone looking to create an account, please be mindful of this vulnerability. The game itself is fun, HD designs look weird so I just stick with the classic imagery. Sometimes the CPU opp plays the same card twice when they technically are supposed to have 5 unique cards but it wasn’t a game breaking issue, just a strategy breaking issue for the user. 2 Stars for security issues mainly. You don’t ever get it back. Plus anything beyond sephiroth 1 is pay to win. I’m glad i stopped buying into it. This games worse than butt. It’s diarrhea 😄. ### 1/5 — Such A Shame - Buggy Garbage *2025-12-10, version 1.8.48* I love triple triad and when I saw this I was excited… until I played it. It’s sadly nothing but buggy trash. One review brought up some of the bugs and - seven years ago - the developer claimed to have fixed them. Spoiler: they aren’t fixed. Game freezes so you force quit? You get punished and lose your card. You win and go to select a card? Yeah… no. No selection allowed and you have to crash the game. It’s completely unplayable as I cannot progress. Now lets talk about the cash shop. Oh yes… $9 USD for 5,000 GIL. The most expensive card - Ultimecia - is 10,000 GIL. So $18 if you want that card. Whats worse is this is a game where you can PERMENENTLY LOSE your cards; purchased or otherwise. So game glitches out and you need to crash? Kiss your cards goodbye. Or, go to a higher difficulty and it doesnt even tell you what rules are in effect. Easy way to lose them that way too. The audacity that there is a cash shop in a version of the game where you can lose your cards is psychotic. Even FF14 Online struk out the rule about taking/losing a card and moved only to in-game shop. Then at least it would be more logical.
