### 2/5 — Unstable for Live Use + Needs some feature adds

*2025-08-03, version 1.0.24*

TriplePlay hardware is so much better with tracking vs. the older generation of Roland GK gear. I REALLY need this TriplePlay iOS to work but really struggling when using in a live setting.

1/ I used the app as my primary synth on a gig just last night. The app just simply crashes randomly - did so twice in the middle of this performance. By “crash”, I mean that TriplePlay disappears, the iOS desktop appears, but TriplePlay seems like it’s still in memory b/c it’s still in the task swapping view. When you switch back to TriplePlay, it restarts.

2/ I can get TP to crash easily when editing / saving Combis. I need Combis in order to switch sounds live. But do edits on Combis with some AUv3 plugins (like King of FM and Nerd Synth) and you can crash TP in under a couple of minutes.

3/ Working with creating and editing and organizing Combis is quite clunky. When you edit an existing combi and do “Save As”, it overwrites the old one instead creating a new one? No way to organize folders, back up Combis, create set lists, etc. I can’t buy the foot controller until I know these things are coming.

4/ The App Support link here on App Store is broken!

Happy to help you test any new versions. Please don’t abandon this.

### 3/5 — Great idea, wish it was easier

*2025-01-18, version 1.0.23*

The app samples are lackluster, and doesn’t always play well with SynthMaster 2. Pretty foolproof with sm1 though. Would be nice if it could be controlled with some other midi controller, other than the play controller.

### 2/5 — Nenaplnené očakávania

*2023-08-04, version 1.0.20*

Kvôli tejto appke som si kúpil iPad Pro. a musím povedať,že som dosť sklamaný
ostávajú “visieť” tóny, niektoré tony ani nezaznejú …všetko je nejaké pomalé …nedokonalé

### 3/5 — heavy but incomplete

*2023-07-20*

They packed a lot of fun into this app what with instrument samples and all. I downloaded this app to get to the string response settings and to switch between single and multi midi channel modes. And I don't see a way to switch modes. I would like an app that does just these two things, and maybe a piano sound so I can hear the sensitivity adjustments...

### 4/5 — problem with the arpegiator

*2023-01-09*

Great app except for the arp. Don’t matter what setting you put the arp on, it just goes up. Unfortunate because I use arps a lot. I know the app has been out for awhile but please fix it.

### 4/5 — The product is good !

*2022-10-24, version 1.0.13*

The hardware is very good ! I wish I did not have to rely on the TPConnect software to fine tune all the settings, and also, that once you set the hardware side of this product it would remain that way without the need to bring up the TPConnect app to reset it to your setup. Additionally, I did not find a way of stopping TPConnect from being constantly opened in the background of my ipad draining battery. I tried everything, disconnecting background refresh, setting the Ipad to Low Power mode, doing a soft reboot, doing a hard reboot.... And nothing worked, TPConnect keeps working in the background. No way to de-activate it.... on my ipad 6 it does not drain too much battery, but on my ipad Pro 12.9 it's a disaster when I want to use de iPad in a live situation without charging cables.

### 3/5 — Great idea, wish it was easier

*2022-10-14, version 1.0.13*

The app samples are lackluster, and doesn’t always play well with SynthMaster 2. Pretty foolproof with sm1 though.

### 3/5 — When not crashing, it does the job

*2021-05-09, version 1.0.13*

Decent app, and I use it with the Wireless Triple Play and camera connector. Although I can use the wireless with the desktop app, that is even worse at crashing. I have brand new hardware and latest Mac OS and IOS. It seems very buggy and crashes every time when you click the iTunes button. Also randomly crashes when changing sounds. If I keep it simple I might get through a night with it running just so I can fill some synth parts. This app needs a serious overhaul and attention. It lets down the solid hardware by Fishman.

### 3/5 — I MAY be able to use this thing

*2021-03-14, version 1.0.13*

The inbuilt sounds... Children’s toys have better sounds. The inbuilt sound are mostly unusable. I may be able to use some sounds that I make on an outboard synth. Tracking is ok. I’ll try buying some more of the sounds from the store. I hope they’re better than the sounds that come with it.

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly completely unusable

*2021-01-02, version 1.0.12*

Saw the review where someone has the experience that when making any adjustments the app crashes then a review said it was fixed but make sure you have iOS ver 14.3 +. I have 14.3 but app crashes constantly, if I restart app 20 times I may get to play three notes and crashes again. This is with and without the controller connected.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2020-11-30, version 1.0.11*

App crashes every time I try to make adjustments........such a shame

### 3/5 — So much promise that isn’t there yet

*2020-09-26, version 1.0.11*

The device is great, but when will this app get updated?

### 1/5 — Limited sounds

*2020-06-11, version 1.0.11*

Can’t access EastWest sounds that were made for TriplePlay...can’t even access the additional sounds thru iTunes...?...

### 3/5 — Needs a simplified, less cluttered interface

*2020-06-05, version 1.0.11*

This app needs a major overhaul. The interface should take its cues from Bias FX Mobile. The voices need to be far better as well. The guitars and basses sound like they’re from a mid 1980’s Casio keyboard. Also, better integration with other synth apps would be appreciated. This app should act as a MIDI controller on other apps such as iSymphonic, GarageBand etc.

### 1/5 — Can’t play my guitar through the app!

*2025-07-02, version 1.0.24*

Well, I’m trying to use the iPad TP Connect app with a Godwin TriplePlay ready guitar. I paired the dongle no problem, and can open the app and can tune my guitar and set string sensitivity without any problems, although there’s no sound while doing that. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to work or not. Anyway, as soon as I press the Next button to choose a tutorial or go into the app, and I choose the Close button to go to the app, it shuts my pairing between my guitar/TriplePlay pickup and the USB dongle off, and my dongle light starts fast blinking, and immediately a message screen comes up that says “Hey, it looks like you’re not connected, etc., and then when I press the pairing button on my dongle, and it shows a solid light that it’s connected, I can’t reconnect it to the app at all. I go into settings and look around to see if there’s anywhere I can reconnect my guitar to the app, but that’s a no-go. So I can’t play my guitar through the app at all. I can hear sounds when I touch the screen fretboard with my finger just fine, and play the demo, get other sounds, etc., but not with my guitar. If someone could please help me, I’d appreciate it, otherwise I’d hate to have totally wasted my money on three products that DO NOT WORK, AT ALL! Extremely disappointed right now.

### 1/5 — It's bloatware, but it works

*2025-06-15, version 1.0.24*

Having used MIDI / DAW for as long as it's been around, I don't need or want more than is needed to set up the (pretty nice) interface. That is here and it works just fine, but it's buried in 4gb of stuff I don't need or want. By far the largest app on my ipad. I asked for a minimal app just to do the interface settings, sensitivity, channel, and mono/poly and they pretended they didn't understand.

### 1/5 — It's bloatware, but it works

*2024-08-30, version 1.0.23*

Having used MIDI / DAW for as long as it's been around, I don't need or want more than is needed to set up the (pretty nice) interface. That is here and it works just fine, but it's buried in 4gb of stuff I don't need or want. By far the largest app on my ipad.

### 1/5 — Get It_But..

*2024-06-26, version 1.0.23*

The BigFish Audio Purchases in the store won’t work. You can purchase them. Download the purchase. Restore them. But you’ll never use them. Otherwise, the pick up hardware into an IPad tracks faster than I can play. Wonky instruments, but a great DAW controller. I Recommend the MacBook version. It generates accurate Tablature as you play. You can also use it to trigger up to six samples. By playing one note.

### 1/5 — No connection 😫

*2023-02-28, version 1.0.18*

I have TriplePlay wireless controller and it won’t connect to my iPad

### 1/5 — Dejo de funcionar

*2023-01-16, version 1.0.18*

La actualice y todo dejo de sonar, ya moví todo, ya desinstale y volví a instalar y nada. Antes de actualizar si funcionaba

### 1/5 — Drains battery

*2022-01-27, version 1.0.13*

Cool app but drains battery on device, running in background! Check the power usage- this app will run your battery down quick even when not in use.

### 1/5 — The Idea is good, but the reality is very disappointing.

*2021-08-20, version 1.0.13*

The factory sounds are few and also not all of them are good, in addition to this, there is no way to get more sounds and I cannot find a way to load other plugins or applications within, as in the desktop version. And worst of all, if you want to test the pickup directly with other applications, the response and sensitivity are a complete disaster.

### 1/5 — App crashes constantly

*2021-04-12, version 1.0.13*

Can’t even play two notes before the app crashes. I have yet to be able to even play on it. Restarted the iPad, re-downloaded the app and still crashes. I really want to like the product but app needs work!

### 1/5 — Wow

*2021-03-18, version 1.0.13*

Can’t believe I bought a Lightning to USB adapter for this lame software...

### 5/5 — Tripleplay ipad app

*2025-04-25, version 1.0.24*

This app gets better every time they update it. Like most controller apps there’s a learning curve but Fishman does listen and responds with updates and new features.

### 5/5 — Just started to use after hiatus but…

*2021-11-27, version 1.0.13*

Great App..Love it…LOL but now I have severe latency ugh

### 5/5 — Finally updated to fix issues

*2020-12-24, version 1.0.12*

The app is now stable and works as it was always intended. Makes sure that you have iOS 14.3 (or above). A great free addition to already excellent Fishman Tripleplay Connect.

### 5/5 — An update is needed

*2020-08-21, version 1.0.11*

I love this app, it’s lots of fun, but it needs an update after almost a year. IMHO it needs new instruments and the ability to add instruments to the app directly (without any Mac/PC interaction) and possibly more neck splits. Frankly I’d be willing to pay for a more advanced app version. I hope an update is coming!

### 5/5 — Need help

*2020-07-14, version 1.0.11*

Love the app. Having a problem downloading the extra sounds that I purchased. When I update the firmware it says please wait, rebooting.

### 5/5 — Work good

*2020-03-06, version 1.0.11*

Work s good easy to use

### 5/5 — Easy, fast, and amazing!

*2019-12-13, version 1.0.11*

If you’re looking for a real MIDI guitar and don’t want to waste your time figuring out how to make it work, get the TP Connect! It took me less than fifteen minutes to install it on my guitar, download the app, and start playing with it. The app offers lots of fun possibilities. One of my favorite fatures is the ability to combine synth sounds. (the looper is also fantastic). I’d love to see more patches available in the app in future updates. Maybe some Holdsworth inspired ones :). TP connect also works as a MIDI controller! Five stars at least!!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant app and hardware

*2019-11-30, version 1.0.11*

The app is brilliant. It works really well. I was wondering if there may be any more instrument updates coming. The in app purchases just seem to be loops. I would be interested in a few more stringed instruments like banjo, uke , sitar, mandolin, etc.

### 5/5 — Instruments

*2019-08-21, version 1.0.9*

Besides the in app purchases loops, there’s any plan to include more sound instruments in to the App?

### 4/5 — Je to skvelé ale…

*2023-02-20, version 1.0.18*
