I’ve been playing this game daily for months, and I like the game itself. I was disappointed when popup ads started appearing, but I’m really irritated by the content of some of the ads. Many days it’s pushing Facebook, which I left years ago. Then it was sermons. Today’s ad was a fake ransomware screen claiming that my ipad is infected with 9 viruses and data would be wiped within 2 minutes. Your ad service is completely unacceptable. Not worth it. ### 2/5 — Recent update/monetization *2025-11-29* The game is a simple and fun word game, but they just recently locked puzzles older than two days behind an in app purchase. Two stars for monetizing a once free feature. What’s next? Ads between guesses? Why now? **Developer response:** We totally hear you, and with the latest update we’ve changed how the archive works. You can now unlock any archived puzzle for free by watching a short rewarded video — no subscription required. And we will definitely, definitely not put ads between guesses. We’d never want to compromise the core Triplit experience for you. We're so grateful to have you as a player. Cheers! ### 2/5 — Well, Goodbye Triplit *2025-11-25* It was fun. I played this game daily. I have even been chipping away at the archive words, which is something few of the other daily word games allow. But now all of a sudden I’m blocked and asked to pay for no ads and the archive. I’ve been playing for months and months with no ads and the ability to play the archive. Just adding this to the pile of other games-turned-subscription fees. If it was a one time payment, okay sure. But $30 a year? For a game without a huge archive and that people can only play once a day? I’m good, thanks. I kept it 2-stars because the game is fun and challenging. Just watch out though. You’ll soon have to pay for streaks too. **Developer response:** We’re really glad you’ve been enjoying the archive — and we hear you on the paywall. Triplit is a lot of fun, my only minor issue Is that the clues are sometimes a bit obscure. The great thing about Wordle is that if the word ends in S it’s almost never a plural of the word. One of today’s clues “Band or chuck follower” and I guess Wagon and then I end up losing because I can’t guess the others because one of the solutions is Wagons, even though “Follower” in the clue isn’t pluralized. Hope that makes sense, I do like the mechanics of this game, just needs refining **Developer response:** Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We completely agree with your point about plurals — we try to avoid ambiguity between singular and plural forms, and if we do use a plural, it should feel natural and intentional.
