## What is TripPoint Note?

Still bookmarking random spots on social media, saving exact coordinates into Notes, and spending 10 minutes staring at your map wondering which one is actually close?

We’ve all been there. Vacation turns into spreadsheet management real fast.

TripPoint Note puts all your messy travel ideas onto one map you can actually read and use.

Here’s how it works:

Drop pins that actually make sense
Restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, scenic spots—give each category its own color and icon so you can spot what you need at a glance. When the map starts getting crowded, filter by category. Plus, set where you're starting from and we'll reorder your stops into a logical order automatically.

Copy address, open app, done
Copy a place name or address from a blog, an online travel guide, or a group chat. Open TripPoint Note, and it catches it instantly—one tap to locate it. If two spots share the exact same name, we show them side by side so you don't accidentally navigate to the wrong side of town. (You can also search nearby for last-minute coffee or convenience stores.)

Connect the dots
Draw custom lines between any pins—even complex many-to-many routes—to visualize your entire trip structure. When you're on the ground, turn on walking navigation with step-by-step turn alerts.

iPad + Apple Pencil
Circle two pins to snap a route together. Swipe once to erase it. No toggling modes, no menu hunting. Sketch notes and arrows directly on the canvas—they stay anchored right to their real-world location. You can even handwrite place names right into the search bar.

Document as you explore
Snap photos or record video without leaving the map—they attach directly to the exact pin you’re standing at. Add quick thoughts, arrival times, budget tracking, and check off packing items as you go. Your daily itineraries are grouped neatly by day, keeping the big picture clear.

Clean, simple, yours
No forced sign-ups. No tracking scripts. No third-party ads. Your trips and photos live right on your device by default. Want to keep things safe when upgrading phones? Turn on iCloud Backup whenever you choose.

Some advanced features require TripPoint Pro. Manage or cancel anytime right in your Apple account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-09-29

This version fixes a few issues on iOS 27 and makes some small changes.

Fixed the bottom tab bar covering the search results list on iOS 27, and the white corners around the keyboard on the search page.

When you search for a place, you can tap the mic on the keyboard and use voice input instead of typing. We also added a few category icons to search suggestions, but treat them as a rough guide for now.

The trip icon is now a suitcase.

When you open the app and there's a new version on the App Store, we'll let you know once. Pick "Later" and we won't mention it again that day.

If anything comes up, email us anytime. And if you're enjoying the app, leaving a review helps us a lot.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-21

This update adds iOS 27 support and a few other things.

Relive
Finish a trip, then tap once to replay it. You get the map, the timeline, how long each leg took, and street views for each stop.

Check-in
Tap “Check in” on a place card. That’s it. The progress page shows what you’ve done and what’s left.

Reminders
Departure and packing reminders now use local notifications, so they show up on time. The packing reminder stays at the top of your list and follows your departure time.

Camera
You can now pick your own resolution and frame rate for photos and videos. There’s also an exposure slider and a rule-of-thirds grid. Tap outside the zoom dial to close it.

Map
You can move the map controls to the left or right side, whichever you like. Turn arrows have been redrawn and are easier to read.

Community & Support
New section in Settings. Join our Discord, or send feedback to support@trip-point.com.

Other
Navigation and recording run cooler and use less battery. Also fixed a few small things, like swiping down anywhere to close a full-size image, and expanding trip card settings right where you are.

If something breaks, email us. And if you like the app, a review helps a lot.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-14

This update adds an interactive tutorial and friendlier offline/navigation touches:

• Interactive tutorial: an animated finger demonstrates map gestures, adding and linking points, and route navigation. It plays for new users and can be replayed anytime from Settings > Help & Guide.
• Offline & weak-signal hints: when the network is poor or offline, a small badge appears on the map and a gentle notice reminds you that positioning may be less accurate — so it isn't mistaken for a bug.
• Steadier recording: during long recordings the app adapts automatically to stay stable when the device heats up, and saves right away if a recording is interrupted; toggleable in Settings.
• Street names on the map: a new switch lets you show street names when you want them.
• Navigation polish: the turn arrow lines up with the upcoming junction more promptly, off-route rerouting is quicker, and you're asked to confirm before a reroute.
• Battery & UI touches: more power-efficient location; the nearby-search category bar makes its left/right scrolling easier to discover.

Thanks for using TripPoint Note! We'd love your review on the App Store.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-11

This update adds voice guidance and a smoother route experience:

• Spoken navigation: turns, arrival and off-route are announced by voice — on by default, switchable off in Settings; you can pick the voice language (Cantonese and Mandarin added).
• Clearer turn-by-turn: it says "continue along the route" from afar and only shows the turn instruction as you approach; going off route gives a gentle heads-up first, then reroutes automatically if you keep drifting.
• Customizable turn arrow: adjust the style, size and color of the turn arrow in Settings.
• Compare routes: review where alternative routes differ and pick the one you prefer.
• iCloud Backup upgraded: several recent backups are kept automatically and you can restore any of them from a list; the backup folder is now visible in the Files app; restore takes effect in-app immediately, with no manual relaunch.
• Address follows your language: place addresses in the details update instantly when you switch the system language.

Thanks for using TripPoint Note! We'd love your review on the App Store.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-06

This update focuses on the trip expense experience:

• Currency conversion now covers 20 currencies, with Swiss Franc and New Zealand Dollar added — switch the target currency right from the totals panel.
• More accurate conversion: converted amounts now match real exchange rates.
• Your choice is remembered: the conversion currency stays in sync with "Display Currency" in Settings and persists across launches; on iPad the sidebar and the map toolbar always agree.
• Currency-aware icons: yen, pound, franc and others each show their own symbol.
• More complete poster totals: transport costs are now included and everything is converted into your chosen currency.
• Expense amounts in the schedule view now appear in the currency they were entered in.

Thanks for using TripPoint Note! We'd love your review on the App Store.
