## What is TripTrack?

TripTrack is a diary of your drives. Start a recording, drive, stop — the app names
the trip by where it went, keeps the route, the speed and the climb, and puts it in
a feed you can open a year later.

RECORD WITHOUT THINKING
Recording survives a locked screen, a dead zone and a long day. Live Activity keeps
the trip on the lock screen; the app can start recording by itself when you begin
driving.

THE TRIP, AFTERWARDS
Replay the drive like a film. Read the route on the map, the speed and elevation on
scrubable charts, and add the photos you took on the way.

THE PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE
Invite the companions who rode with you — the trip becomes shared, their photos land
on it, and it appears in their history too. Publish a trip and it joins the feed,
where it can collect reactions and a discussion.

YOUR MAP
Every road you have driven, on one map, with your regions and your numbers behind it.

GARAGE
Several cars, each with its own mileage, level and history.

YOURS FIRST
Everything works offline and without an account. Sign in with Apple only if you want
cloud sync and the social side; your trips stay private until you publish them
yourself, and the account can be deleted from inside the app at any time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.6.1 — 2026-08-17

TripTrack now speaks eleven more languages. Thirteen in total: English,
Russian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Indonesian,
Ukrainian, Brazilian Portuguese, Kazakh and Filipino.

Everything is translated — screens, empty states, errors, notifications, all 53
achievements, and the card on your lock screen. Pick yours in Settings →
Language. On a fresh install the app follows your phone's language list, so it
usually picks the right one by itself.

Dates, numbers and units follow the language you chose, and counted words get
their plural right in every one of the thirteen — including the awkward ones.

YOUR TRIPS COME BACK
If your library ever went missing, this version goes and finds it. When the app
notices your phone is holding fewer trips than your account actually has, it
fetches the rest — once, by itself, without you having to ask.

And it can no longer lose them that way again. The app used to replace a
database it failed to open with an empty one, silently, even when the failure
was momentary. Now it never discards your data: it says what happened, tries
again, and keeps the old file whatever you decide.

Levels, achievements and your map of visited roads rebuild themselves once the
trips are home.

Also fixed: the "Public profile" switch no longer vanishes when the server is
slow to answer, and the button that sends logs sits above the journal instead
of underneath a week of it.

### 0.6.0 — 2026-08-15

The biggest update since launch. TripTrack was redrawn end to end, and a trip is no
longer something only you can see.

COMPANIONS
Invite the people who were in the car. A trip becomes shared: their photos land on
it, it shows up in their history too, and nobody has to re-record the same road.

DISCUSSIONS
Comments with replies on public trips, reactions with a "who reacted" list, and
notifications that take you to the exact message.

THE TRIP ITSELF
Replay a drive like a film. Share it as a story poster or a link. A rewritten photo
viewer, scrubable speed and elevation charts, and a map that finally gets out of the
way.

FIVE TABS
Feed, Map, Record, Groups, Me. Your own map of everywhere you've driven, a calmer
recording screen, and a profile with achievements, levels and a "how others see you"
preview.

FEED THAT MAKES SENSE
"All" is now strictly by date — newest drives first, whoever they belong to. Follow
people and "For you" keeps them together.

CLUBS — COMING
A preview of what clubs will be, and a real waiting list you can join.

PRIVACY
Delete your account from inside the app: it removes everything on the server and
everything on this device, and says so before it does. All visibility switches —
public profile, trips on the global map, who can add you as a companion — now live
on one screen.

### 0.5.8 — 2026-06-16

Hotfix based on your feedback:

• Smoother map while recording — the route line no longer flickers
• The speedometer now correctly shows 0 when you stop (no more "stuck" readings at red lights)
• Fixed a launch hang on the "Ready to drive" screen
• Your trip feed now loads instantly — no manual pull-to-refresh needed
• Trip notes are now easy to find and add
• Photos upload in full quality on any network, not just Wi-Fi
• New: opt in to show your public trips on the globe on our website (in Profile, off by default)

Thanks for all the feedback — it genuinely helps!

### 0.5.7 — 2026-06-14

A feedback-driven update + long-trip reliability:

• Rock-solid tracking in remote / no-signal areas — your route no longer drops under heavy tree cover or in the wild (it used to show "0 km")
• A drive interrupted mid-route resumes as one track; Live Activity stays alive on multi-day trips
• Change the vehicle on an already-saved trip; active recording shows which car you're driving for
• Siri & Shortcuts start with the car you actually picked — no more always-first-vehicle
• Speed legend on the map — see which route colour maps to which speed
• Trip notes — jot down road conditions, detours, fuel stops
• No more random sign-outs on flaky networks
• Logged-out "Share" prompts sign-in and resumes the action
• Night/morning badges count any trip that overlaps the window, not just its start hour
• Choose how average speed is measured (overall / moving-only); double-tap to zoom trip photos
• "Regions" → "Places", the feed's "Mine" → "Trips"; clearer stats calendar
• Faster cloud sync, fewer hitches

### 0.5.6 — 2026-05-23

Reliability fixes:
• Auto-detect in Remind mode no longer ends a trip mid-drive on momentary Bluetooth glitches. You'll get a prompt with 3 minutes to confirm, never a silent stop.
• Account stays signed in over long gaps between trips. No more sign-outs after a few weeks away.
• Detailed diagnostic logs available in Settings → Export logs — if anything goes wrong, you can send me the file and I can reconstruct exactly what happened.
