## What is TripTracker?

TripTracker is a free, local-only GPS trip recorder.

Tap Start new trip. TripTracker logs your route in the background while you walk, drive, hike, or ride. Stop when you're done. Your trip lands in the list, drawn on an Apple Map, ready to share as a GPX file you can keep, load into another map app, or hand off.

Nothing goes to a server. Trips live in files on your phone. Export only happens when you tap Share.

Bug fixes and small improvements.

Repairing an interrupted trim no longer changes a trip's start time or forgets its start place. The Trim screen's timeline handles are easier to see in Dark Mode, and it opens faster on long trips.

Trimming a trip is more dependable: if a trim is interrupted, opening the trip finishes the job rather than leaving it half-done, and a trim that fails partway no longer leaves the untrimmed route shareable.

Minor bug fixes and accessibility improvements.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-23

Trim a trip. Cut the start or the end off a saved trip: open it, choose Trim from the menu, and drag the two handles along a full-screen timeline while the map above shows exactly what you'll keep. The part outside the handles is deleted permanently, so TripTracker asks you to confirm first.

Read a long trip a day at a time. A trip that spans more than one day now has a day picker — choose a day and the map and the stats show only that day, or switch back to the whole trip.

Faster with big trips. Exporting a GPX now streams straight to the file instead of building the whole thing in memory, so a long route shares quicker and uses far less of your phone. The trim screen and the live recording screen both do less work while you drag and while you record.

Fixes. With ads on, the recording bar could cover the bottom of the Share GPX button on a trip you were viewing — it no longer does. The location permission cards and their Open Settings button have clearer contrast. The trips list and the trip detail screen no longer change background colour depending on what's on them, and the record button at the bottom of the list now has a proper backdrop.

All of it is available in all ten languages.

Small fixes and polish throughout — clearer trip details, a tidier full-screen map, and a route line that stays easy to see on satellite imagery.
