### 4/5 — Nice to see a v2, but needs some work

*2023-07-08*

As a fan of Trism for many years I was happy to see a new version and didn’t mind paying for the work these folks put in. A few things however:
Why doesn’t the tilt work to slide the tiles in different direction except down?
App crashes especially trying to beat Nanook (whatever his name is)
There’s too much “story” for those of us who just want to play.
Looking forward to an update to fix the glitches and move on to the next round.
Thank you !

### 3/5 — Where are the new levels ?

*2022-10-05*

I bought this game the very day it came out (July 2018 I believe) and have been waiting for the extra levels ever since. I even wrote to the developers and asked when the extra levels would be appearing and got the reply “When they’re ready !”. It’s a decent game BUT it’s not finished. For that reason I have to knock a couple of stars off- shame as it could have been a five star game.

### 2/5 — Can’t tilt the phone anymore

*2022-05-05, version 1.2*

You can no longer control where the triangles slide from. It’s always from one direct: upper left.

### 2/5 — Eah…

*2022-04-26, version 1.2*

Tbh I bought this just to support the devs as I love Trism. But I noped out and deleted the game after about two mins.

### 4/5 — New levels

*2022-03-23, version 1.2*

🙏🏻 new levels please

### 2/5 — Oh dear. What a disappointment

*2021-03-12*

If you loved the original Trism, which I did, I do and will continue to do. This is such a different gaming experience that initially I thought that it was a ‘ripoff’ clone.
Such a different player experience to the original.
The onboarding follows the now typical tap here, then tap here, methodology used by the myriad of ’brain-dead; milk the player for every cent’ which tells me two things:
1. The gameplay/interface is non-obvious. i.e. It has too many superfluous ‘featurette’ mini-scenes getting in the way of the actual game play.
2. There’s not enough interest to keep me engaged.
I played for about 5mins, and was utterly bored. Game deleted. Refund requested.

### 2/5 — Just another match 3 game

*2020-05-28*

The original Trism was imaginative. It took full use of the iPhones accelerometer and the style was a classy puzzle game.

Unfortunately instead of dragging entire diagonal columns, you now place the triangles directly on the board. When you match 3, the pieces disappear but you have no control of which direction the pieces fall.

In other words, this isn’t like the original at all.

### 3/5 — Original Trism Not Working

*2019-10-16*

So I tired Trism 2, but it’s just not my cup of tea. It’s missing some of the things that made the original game so much fun. Could you please fix the original game? After updating to the current IOS it doesn’t work. When I touch a tile the whole row turns black. I really love the game- please, please fix it.

### 4/5 — Great but where are the “coming soon” levels?

*2019-08-02*

Ok, so this is nowhere near as addictive as the original, which I still love playing, but it’s still a pretty fun game.

But where are the level updates? It says they’re “coming soon” - but I suspect they’ve been coming soon for a while and still haven’t arrived

### 2/5 — Why?

*2019-05-19*

So this is my fault for not reading reviews but hey... it’s Trism II right? If people like this then I am happy for them but it is nothing like the original. Original Trism is simple, elegant, and endlessly playable. No cartoon characters and clicking through speech bubbles between levels. Fun orientation mechanics. No “story” to play through. This looks like a hundred other match games with cute characters and levels. I think I made it through 4 boards before I’d had enough and came to provide my review. I don’t normally leave any review that isn’t positive but if the developers are going to appeal to Original Trism players.. then I hope others like me don’t rush in and purchase without reading reviews. I don’t care about the three bucks I spent to learn my lesson. I just want to know why you would so completely change a game? Now excuse me while I go play a real Trism game.

### 2/5 — Geht so

*2019-01-10, version 1.2*

           3xG -> gekauft, gespielt, gelöscht.

Was man aber wissen sollte.

### 2/5 — Barely Trism

*2018-11-13*

I agree with so many here that this game is so far from the original that it barely feels like Trism at all!

The sliding portion of the original is what made it so unique and unlike others, I played it for years. I would argue that the original Trism has one of highest replayability of any puzzle game out there.

I want quick play also, not an adventure game, I just want to play a puzzle game real quick, not read a storyline which I skip most of the time so I can play the actual game, but the actual game is sad and doesn't have hardly any elements from the original.

I also waited 10 years too, checking social media every few months. Update the original Trism, add some new playability and update for newer phones and I'd be glad to give you some MORE money.

### 4/5 — I've wasted hours of time playing ;)

*2018-09-20*

I see several negative comments, but I like the game and think I will love it when it is finished. To be fair, there were a few issues. I received an error message when connecting to Facebook then the "throbbed" never disappeared after trying to connect so I had to restart. I was disappointed that I couldn't move on after completing the first world, but like that the new world shows the % each section is until complete. Hopefully those %s will increase and we can update soon. IF YOU LOVE THE OLD TRISM this game is the same in principle, but follows a story. Hopefully a new update is on the way.

### 1/5 — Loved a Trism, disappointed

*2018-09-16, version 1.2*

The sliding mechanics was the point of the game. The “story” is cute and all, but why mess with the mechanics that made the game famous?

### 1/5 — Not Trism 1 - barely resembles Trism

*2018-08-19*

The accelerometer is no longer used in this version. The game play is completely DUMBed down. The story and characters really get in the way of what should be a hands-on brain tease. I loved Trism for how to solve the triangle matches and achievements. You are forced through a tutorial without option to skip. (Wasting my time...)

Additionally, support is completely lacking. If you change phones, you must start over. Game has zero recovery functions for this common scenario. All achievements are lost.

Trism 1 was an excellent puzzle game.
This is not!

### 3/5 — OK game . . .

*2018-08-17, version 1.2*

Where’s the update?

### 1/5 — A huge disappointment

*2018-08-07*

A complete betrayal of the original game. Vastly over complicated. Tries to bolt on an adventure to a puzzle games and all it does it make things slow and tedious. What a shame.

### 1/5 — I waited 10 years...... for this??

*2018-08-04*

The original Trism was easily my favorite puzzle game on iOS. I probably put over 100 hours into it, just trying to get all of the achievements. When I heard the creator was making a sequel, I got so excited! ......that was 10 years ago. 10 years later and the game finally releases, and I’m sorry to say, it’s pretty horrible. Also, the game only has 1 level! It’s about an hour or so of gameplay before there’s nothing left to do. I was shocked when after an hour I got a message saying “updates coming soon”. Are you kidding me? I paid $2.99 for what is essentially a demo that took 10 years to create. Demiforce should honestly be ashamed of this. Is that hour of gameplay fun at least? No. It’s a boring extremely generic puzzle game in comparison to the original. The game is riddled with bugs as well. What a shame, I waited a long time for this one.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This is not Trism

*2021-02-17, version 1.2*

This is not Trism. I feel like they should really make that clearer in the description. Other than looks, the gameplay here has nothing to do with the original, which was a great game. It’s too bad, Trism is one of my most-played iPhone games and really deserves an update.

### 1/5 — Agree with Fantasialynn!!

*2019-12-21, version 1.2*

This developer, Steve Demeter, is a criminal with no conscience whatsoever! Do not download this game!! It will never be updated, you’ll never be able to finish it! He’s abandoned this game. Do NOT download!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2019-12-20*

Update: after a year and a half I finally got a response.

Basically he never finished the game and ran out of money and then didn’t like the negative and ultimately hostile feedback so he’s not motivated to finish this game. And he had to go get a real job again so he can work on this in his spare time. (Riiiiiight).

1. Feedback may not have been so negative if he had communicated to begin with. Do I feel bad for being angry? NO. The game developer GHOSTED us from the beginning.
2. This game should not have been released requiring up front payment when it wasn’t finished. Free to play with in app purchases would have been smarter and would have been received better and he might not have run out of money.
3. Really just overall unprofessional. I’m not buying anything this guy makes again. He got lucky one time with one game and dropped the ball big time with this one so once again I say DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I don’t even want to play the original any more, I’m so disgusted.

October 2019: Well, I don’t know what happened to my original review, and that just makes this game worse. I LOVED this game, I was SO excited to play it. Got through the quests and got to the preview of the next world that promised an update soon, with more levels.
Well, 18 months later, STILL NO UPDATE, it has NEVER BEEN UPDATED. And it has bugs, lots of bugs! No update.

Since I paid for this game, I expect it to be finished.
This person who made this game has made no effort to make it right, to update anyone on the game, and somehow manages to hide all negative feedback.
Steve Demeter is a liar and a thief.

### 1/5 — Boring

*2019-10-17, version 1.2*

Stupid animations. A waste of time clicking through meaningless speech bubbles for a story that’s incoherent and unnecessary. Then the puzzles, when you finally get to them, are short and overly simple. Stick with the original. This is a completely different game.

### 1/5 — Not much like Trism 1, but equally fun

*2019-08-16, version 1.2*

This game has little to do with its predecessor. Gameplay is vastly different yet it is a compelling sequel. Puzzles are challenging, addictive, and fun. Get it!

### 1/5 — Yuuch

*2019-06-22, version 1.2*

Not much thinking. Just click on the little figurines telling a story. Next please.

### 1/5 — Omg - death by cutscene

*2019-02-18, version 1.2*

This has removed virtually everything fun about the first game, and replaced it with interminable cutscenes, dialog, and animated trisms. No wonder they took so long to release this steaming pile. So much effort for so little fun gameplay. Love watching animated trisms explain weird rules and gameplay? This is the game for you. Trism lovers, stick with the original.

### 1/5 — Not anything like the original

*2019-01-10, version 1.2*

I bought this game since I enjoyed playing the original so much however this version is nothing like the first one and I am now regretting my decision to purchase this.

### 1/5 — The cool stuff was removed

*2018-11-16, version 1.2*

This has turned into nothing more than a match 3 game. No more sliding triangles, no more triangles falling into place depending on how you turn your device. And then no updates with new levels. I do believe we have been royally and intentionally cheated by the developer.

### 1/5 — Trism 2

*2018-11-07*

Your scoring system is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! I’ve been stuck on a level,(can’t say which one because this game is so scatterbrained with no rhyme or reason to anything,) in the very beginning where I need 2000 points to move on! It’s been a week! I’m done trying. It’s not fun at all! There’s just no reasoning behind anything in this game! There’s to much text involved that you have to read and none of that makes sense!!
Sorry but this game isn’t worth the space it takes on my phone!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Une merveille ! Wonderful

*2018-09-30*

I have wait so many time this release and I know how hard it was for Steve Demeter to finally achieve and release Trism 2. The result is awesome and the game must be played ! Well done dude and keep going !

### 5/5 — Love it.

*2018-08-03*

Glad it’s back. More fun and super cute. Love it. ;)

### 5/5 — Super fun and addictive!

*2018-07-28, version 1.2*

I’m not much of a gamer, but this app is super fun! I can spend way too much time playing around on this thing. I especially like the creativity between levels!

### 5/5 — Addicting

*2018-07-25*

This game is rather addicting. It’s a great way to pass transient downtime. Some of the levels can be beat easily, but some are rather challenging, which keeps you from getting bored with it. 10/10 would recommend.

### 5/5 — Great Sequel

*2018-07-25*

This long awaited sequel is a great game with simple but addictive game play. Well worth the wait.

### 5/5 — Good entertainment

*2018-07-24, version 1.2*

An excellent combination of puzzles with a fun storyline. My 6yo & I both enjoy it

### 5/5 — Great so far

*2018-07-21, version 1.2*

Not sure the narrative was super necessary, but whatever, I am obsessed with the puzzles. Bought on day one because I loved the original. This is a worthy successor.

### 5/5 — Not Trism 1 but that’s ok

*2018-07-17*

Balls! It’s a completely different than the first trism but that doesn’t matter! It’s a fun unique original game! Once you unlock the compass it gets even better! And no ads or and unlimited lives! Totally worth the price!

### 5/5 — FreeToPlay-Konzept ohne FreeToPlay

*2018-07-12, version 1.2*

Volle 5 Sterne.

### 5/5 — Addicting

*2018-07-11*

As someone who has played the original Trism on the first generation iPhone, I do love this game just as much as the first version. Would love to see that when redoing a level that you don’t have to wait for the flashy animation and the text to fade in and out before starting. Other than that, the game is an excellent sequel.
