It’s a different type of trivia game, where you attempt to answer what each image represents. Some of them can really make you think. The only thing I would change is that I wish the pot rolled over when no one wins though. In more than 100 subject categories, I have memorized tons of challenging photos, from frogs to types of foreign cuisines. I will admit that originally, there were a lot of computer glitches, but the IQ Jackpot team has really been receptive and professional in handling my suggestions and comments, and have made many positive changes from my feedback. (Again, no gaming app company is perfect, but we always strive for perfection). Through various game updates, this exciting game is functioning much better and throughout the months, I have become addicted, since I have a thirst for knowledge. To succeed in the game, one must invest in a cheat sheet (access to the title of the photos for a day or week for a reasonable fee) and extra lives (reasonable price as well), as well as STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!! The goal of this game is to win the Jackpot (has varied from $10 to $100) by answering anywhere from 10 to 20 questions (the number of questions fluctuates constantly. If there are multiple winners, then the jackpot is split evenly, if there is only one winner, the entire jackpot goes to that lucky person. I understand that for now that if game players win $2,500 (as was the case for myself), you have a WIN LIMIT imposed where you cannot earn more money, but you still have access to the game. The game owner said that as more players play the game, the WIN LIMIT will increase to more money; I am hoping to Unlimited once this game skyrockets! I like the listing of the top 100 players with their name, picture icon, and amount won, as well as the top 3 players with their photos at the bottom of the game screen. I have seen some negative comments for this game, but for me, it’s extremely educational, adrenaline-producing, and challenging, yet fun to play. It’s cool that it happens every hour on the top of the hour. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This app is a scam. Do not purchase Trivicoins *2024-09-13* This app is running a pyramid scheme. In order to convert the “Trivicoins” you win to real cash, someone else has to purchase Trivicoins and you have to hope that the system randomly picks your coins out of everyone who has ever won them. I took screen recordings of the leaderboard before and after making a purchase of 5 Trivicoins to check if my purchase activated the conversion of Trivicoins to cash for anyone. No one’s Trivicoin balance went down and no one’s amount of money won went up. There is also an extremely low active player count (like a dozen people AT MOST) so even if they are being honest about the coins automatically converting whenever a purchase is made, it is not likely to happen frequently, and there are thousands of unconverted trivicoins on the leaderboard. There is an account with the username Trivi that is run by the creator of the app, or someone involved in its development. The leaderboard shows the user account Trivi as having 1321 Trivicoins. Someone in the chat claimed that the app was not using their trivicoins to correct wrong answers. It appears that the app developers did not offer any sort of refund or compensation for the technical error. This app scams people into making in-app purchases for Trivicoins which have little value given that they sometimes don’t work and they can not help you win real cash as advertised. ### 1/5 — App *2024-04-29* These people don’t even have a valid email to send emails it’s invalid. ### 1/5 — Garbage!!! *2023-04-04* I constantly get songs to guess the title of, but there is no song playing. So you’re out of the game. They just want you to pay for extra lives. I’m uninstalling this waste of phone space. There are other apps that aren’t scams like this piece of crap. **Developer response:** This can happen only when there is a bad Internet connection. An Extra Life is not consumed when you do not answer the question. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2021-03-08, version 1.6.0* I initially made around $300 on the app and right as I tried to cash out, they suspended my account. I thought I was a misunderstanding so I made a new account and sure enough they did the same thing. THEY DO NOT PAY THEIR WINNINGS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY ON THIS APP **Developer response:** This user was suspended for hacking into the Trivi server. ### 1/5 — Cannot signup *2020-08-18, version 1.5.3* The app requires a verification code sent by text, but the text never comes through **Developer response:** This can happen only when there is a bad Internet connection. ### 1/5 — Scam *2020-08-05, version 1.5.3* They ban you for no reason and won’t payout, total scam. Developers won’t give a reason for banning, very bad support. Stay away from this crap. **Developer response:** This user was suspended for hacking into the Trivi server. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2020-04-19, version 1.5.1* The game is fun once you understand it and accept you likely won’t win money. But, it’s buggy. Often when I click the RIGHT answer, the button won’t work. If I click the wrong answer, it will. You only win if you get all 20 questions right. **Developer response:** This user was suspended for hacking into the Trivi server. ### 1/5 — Update *2018-12-31, version 1.1.7* My app just updated and now it won’t open. As soon as I try to open it it flashes up the screen and closes. Tried many times but it won’t work. **Developer response:** Sorry, there was a bug in version 1.1.6. Fixed now. ### 1/5 — Dumb *2018-11-18, version 1.0.7* What a dumb and weird game. **Developer response:** People who won thousands of dollars playing IQ Jackpot will beg to differ. This "dumb" game pays real cash while it teaches encyclopedic knowledge. What's "dumb" about that? ### 1/5 — Won’t send 6 digit verification text in US? *2018-09-15, version 1.0.2* Tried 7 times before it timed out after entering my phone number to get 6 digit verification code texted to enter. No code came, requested send again, no code came. Not really sure how a flaw like this gets left in a game since it effectively prevents anyone from joining to even see what the app is about, muchless enter a contest. No bueno **Developer response:** This was a server glitch that was immediately fixed (a long time ago). I’ve just been playing for a like 2 weeks and I’ve already won about $50 on it. It’s very challenging at first, but it gets easier once you get used to it. Almost everyday I am amazed by the influx of new categories added to the cube! This game really tests how well you know something. Although the hourly games are VERY difficult, extra lives go a very long way in helping you win (even though you can only use one extra life per game)! I also get myself a cheat code to study recently added categories. I just love watching the game grow in content and in players. Everyday I see more and more new names in the winners list! It also looks like the game allows sponsors to fund game jackpots. That means if we get good at it now, we will have a jump-start on huge jackpots that’ll be coming our way in the future! This game is gonna be viral! I also really appreciate how fast the developer responds to complaints and bugs. The app is definitely at an early stage but they are constantly refining content and eliminating bugs!
