### 4/5 — Cracked out on Trivia Crack

*2023-08-22*

Love Trivia Crack! Like the name says- it’s addicting! Just kinda bummed that as you change levels, certain modes of playing go away. I miss the classic mode and the trivia blitz mode. Now I’m just in blast mode, which is kind of boring. Enjoy the tournaments though! And while there is an option to play live 1:1 games, hardly anyone ever plays those so there’s never anyone to play against.

### 4/5 — So Far a Good Experience

*2023-01-11, version 0.3.0*

I have not tried to withdraw money yet, but the game itself is a fun mix of easy and hard questions. No issues so far except I lost connection once so lost the match. Didn’t bother me too much as I hadn’t paid in, but would be annoying if I lost money due to the app freezing.

### 4/5 — Excellent!

*2022-11-11, version 0.3.0*

This app is fantastic! They pay legitimate money. The only thing this app should change is that it should make a $20 prize blitz mode option.

### 4/5 — Decent game, no payouts

*2022-11-04, version 0.3.0*

I’m wondering if it’s like every other game where you deposit and you have to reach a maximum before you get a payout. The game itself is good, but as far as earning is concerned not great

### 2/5 — Bonus Cash is Misleading

*2022-05-08, version 0.2.0*

The game is good, but the bonus cash feature is misleading. If you dig into the explanations it says that 10% of the entry fee is paid in bonus cash, but after $32.4 in entry fees my original balance of $10 in bonus cash is $9.40 instead of 6.76, so there is something else at play that they haven't explained which feels deceitful and makes the bonus cash pointless.

### 4/5 — Good game, but great disparity in ease of questions

*2022-04-18, version 0.2.0*

I am enjoying the game, but do not understand why so many absolute “gimme” questions are mixed in with the rest. I would also do away with absurd throwaway choices among the possible answers. Finally, should increase the value of unused bombs that eliminate 2 of the 4 choices. 25 points. Really? How about 250 points at least!

### 2/5 — Too many Crashes…And your money won’t be refunded

*2022-03-31, version 0.2.0*

It’s fun, but I wouldn’t recommend and play at your own risk. I followed everything they recommend, not streaming anything, or having other apps running, I am always on a good connection.

If your match/App crashes one to many times they will refuse to refund your entry fee. I play $50 matches and have lost $60 now due to the app crashing. Which they won’t refund if it happens too many times which they won’t tell you what that number is, but I have played hundreds of matches, with maybe every ten games a match crashing, some I win and some I lose. I have no problem if another player beats me, but if the app crashes, Which they can tell, I shouldn’t have to forfeit my entry fee, normally I don’t even get into the question part, and it will freeze then close on me.

I am only going to continue playing until I run out of funds or break even. Very frustrating, knowing something out of your control happens and they will not refund money paid for a game that I didn’t even get to play. Also on a side note, they must not have very many players because I always wind up playing against the same few people.

Buyer Beware, and maybe they should add in the description if our app crashes, you will be playing at your own risk of giving away your money.

### 2/5 — Fun but fishy… playing until I run out

*2022-03-25, version 0.2.0*

I do enjoy the ability to play against other people for money. When you finish a game you can usually watch the video of each person and see how they score. For some reason on games where I think I do extremely well but lose there is no video to watch. Really strange it only happens when I do great. If they can fix this I would continue to play. Be careful.

### 5/5 — Really Enjoyable

*2022-02-22, version 0.1.8*

I enjoy playing trivia anyway. Playing for money makes it more exciting! The questions aren’t too tough but the timing element makes it exciting also.

### 5/5 — Fun trivia game

*2022-02-21, version 0.1.8*

Having fun with this one. But some of the questions are miscategorised. And some of The questions are written in such a way as to be very confusing.

### 2/5 — Incredibly slow withdrawal time

*2022-02-06, version 0.1.5*

The game itself is fine and very similar to the original Trivia Crack. However when I finally decided to withdraw some of my winnings I discovered that the withdrawal process apparently takes 4-6 weeks! Most apps that I’ve used will let you withdraw money through a PayPal account but to my surprise I have to wait 4-6 weeks for a hand written check to show up in the mail. Frustrated beyond belief.

### 1/5 — SCAM!!! 100%

*2022-08-06, version 0.3.0*

If you succeed at all in any way this app will make up the most insane lies about you & ban you, keeping all of your money in the process. Like I have a court date bc I’m suing them for fraud. I know each person is different but I did nothing wrong but win & they accused me of money laundering (never actually got any mo ey from them so kinda hard to launder $0) plus a slew of other nonsensical things. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

### 1/5 — Please be careful - they stole my winnings

*2022-06-29, version 0.3.0*

I really enjoyed this app until I tried to withdraw my winnings. They retroactively decided that my location was ineligible to receive a payout, and instead of refunding my account earnings they kept the money themselves. I repeatedly reached out to their support team and got changing and unhelpful explanations. It felt as though they were searching for reasons to keep a player’s money as their profit. I thought I made good money while having fun on this app but in the end it was a big scam. Please play at your own risk and don’t expect to ever get your money - even if you make money by winning games.

### 1/5 — SCAM don’t download

*2022-05-18, version 0.2.0*

Took the bonus deal $10 for $10 extra to play
It charged me $10 on two separate charges
Adding up to the $20
When I tried to get my $ off it was considered “bonus cash” and u can’t take off bonus cash
It stole my $ don’t let it get yours !!!!! It’s a scam and the scores never added up I had a perfect game and still lost to a opponent

### 1/5 — Great until it isn't

*2022-05-17, version 0.2.0*

Was having a ton of fun playing this, until I had an issue where the game glitched mid-PAID competition and they wouldn't offer a refund. There's no appeal process etc, so you're at their mercy. I'd recommend screen recording each match honestly to ensure you can get your money's worth. Otherwise, the quality is an extra risk I'm not willing to make. Going to do all I can to get my money back, but the support team is supremely unhelpful if you're case isn't super cut and dry.

### 1/5 — Took Money Won’t Let Me Play

*2022-03-17, version 0.2.0*

I must have played trivia crack in the past and used my email address. This was years ago but I don’t recall the password. Downloaded trivia crack it took my money. I put in my email address to register the account and it said that the email address is already in use. There is no way to prove who I am and reset the password. I’m simply locked out and this worthless game kept my money. Do not play this game if you have ever played before using your email address.

### 1/5 — Old questions, wrong answers

*2022-03-04, version 0.1.8*

The part of the game that Skillz has done for Trivia Crack is fantastic: good matches, good interface. Beyond that, the pool of questions is completely outdated. It doesn’t tell you at the start that you need to put your mind in 2016 to answer correctly. Still thinks the Chargers from the NFL are in San Diego for instance and several other facts that are no longer true in 2022. But it doesn’t matter if you answer a question correctly based on 2022: even if you are 100% correct you have NO recourse to get your money back or anything. And Skillz doesn’t care about that at all. They won’t discuss or deal with any inquiry related to the content and won’t give you a refund on a game that hinged completely on an incorrect answer.

In addition there are so many typos, misspelled words, punctuation errors, and grammatical errors, a 3rd grader could type better than whoever was responsible for doing it the first time. And it will throw off your reading of the question very often, taking longer to get your answer chosen. It’s really an embarrassing product for whoever put the original database together. Beware, trivia is fun but having too many horrible questions and even worse answers makes this game far from being a five star in my opinion.

### 1/5 — The game takes your actual cash instead of your bonus cash

*2022-02-13, version 0.1.8*

This game is a scam. They take your real cash first instead of bonus cash if you lose and there is a $1.50 fee to withdraw less than $10. Won't let me enter into a 1v1 that is more than a $3 prize and it's $1.80 entry so they're taking $.30 per player per game or 16.7% fee per game. Complete scam ripoff.

### 1/5 — Pay to play, more like can’t play till you keep paying.

*2022-01-10, version 0.1.5*

So for one, every one-on-one game requires a 60 cent buy in, but even if you win you only win 40 cents, so if you lose a game, you need to win two in a row to get back to where you were. So unless you are in the top ten players on the app, if you win a round you will always be paired with someone who is scoring higher so you continue to lose. Second, in live matches you don’t know who you’re being paired with before you buy in. I was paired with the same player three times in a row who was way higher ranked and despite me scoring very well every time, the opponent was exceptional and scored near perfect games in all three matches. Every time I joined a tournament, I was always paired with the one player in the bracket that scored highest. Everyone else in the bracket scored lower except my opponent so I’d always lose the entry fee. So all this to say, based on the entry fee, bracket structure, and matching algorithm, unless you are the very highest scoring players on the entire app, you will only lose money playing this game. Download if you enjoy losing money.

**Developer response:** Hi Mikeyv49, thank you for sharing your concerns about Skillz. We want to assure you that fair competition is at the heart of everything we do, and that we are constantly evaluating and updating your internal skill rating to ensure that you are matched with opponents of your skill level. As you play, your skill rating will go up or down depending on if you win or lose, and you will be matched with people around the same level as you. That way, you have an equal chance to defeat your opponent as they do to defeat you. This may be why you frequently see the same opponent. Sometimes you may play against someone who’s about to move into a higher skill level, which can feel rough if you lose by a lot. But rest assured, that player will soon move into a higher skill bracket and you should no longer face them.
That said, if you ever suspect someone of cheating, please be sure to report them to our Player Support team so they can investigate. You can do this by tapping the menu in the upper right of any Skillz game, then go to Help Center, then Contact Us. Have a great day!

### 2/5 — Not-so-fair play

*2023-07-02*

The game is generally fun, but about 1-in-50 or so questions has the wrong answer or more often two answers that are correct. For instance, a question like “Who instigated the Boston tea Party?” will have both Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty as an answer, or “Which is a shade of blue?” will have azure and navy, but the game will arbitrarily have one as correct and the other as wrong. This isn’t a big deal when playing for fun, but it’s annoyingly common to lose a paid game for this reason. Until recently, if you contacted Skillz customer support about it, they would refund your entry fee if the question actually cost you the game. However, it seems like something has changed in the last couple of months and now they reply with some ridiculous excuse and tell you they forwarded the information to the game developers but don’t refund the entry fee. It doesn’t break the game, but it greatly diminishes my trust in the Skillz claim of fair play.

### 2/5 — Quality Has Declined

*2023-04-16*

This game was fun at first, but there have been so many issues with questions lately. In the last two days I have had to report 4 questions, two had the answer in the question, one had the same correct option twice (and the one I hit was marked wrong), and the other had all wrong answers. The questions need to be more heavily moderated especially for cash matches. I also have only had success getting a live match once despite trying all the time, I will leave the app open while I’m in the queue and they won’t find a match. I am withdrawing the money I still have and deleting the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Legit

*2023-04-05*

Live the app. Great game play. Fair play from what I can tell. Only downfall is there aren’t very many methods of earning real cash without making a deposit. But after your initial deposit you’re good from that point. But otherwise love the developers of this app as well as the rest of their apps.

### 5/5 — Love this game!

*2022-12-08, version 0.3.0*

Definitely addictive trying to see if you know more than your opponent!

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2022-09-18, version 0.3.0*

This game is terrific! It pays legitimate cash and isn’t too tricky. The only thing I want this game to have is its Trivia Blitz Mode that pays $20 reinstated. I really liked that one, and I’m short on cash. Ergo, I would like that one to be reinstated, please.

### 5/5 — Game is fun

*2022-08-22, version 0.3.0*

The only thing is I tried to make a purchase but it’s not reading my card bc my card is a Mastercard and it only take visa, discover and American Express 🙄

### 5/5 — Love Trivia Crack but…

*2022-07-09, version 0.3.0*

Great Game. Playing for cash isn’t available in my area though. That’s most likely due to state gambling laws or something ridiculous like that. It freezes in the middle of matches occasionally. Other than that, I love Trivia Crack Payday because of the way it’s set up and how the matches work.

### 5/5 — Fueling my Brain & Bank Account 100%

*2022-06-14, version 0.2.2*

I love challenging myself daily and fueling my mind, body and bank accounts bottom line! Thanks to the crew for making this app fun and accurate!

### 5/5 — Good game

*2022-06-04, version 0.2.2*

Great game and I love the random questions. Only problem is in my state they don’t over money to be withdrawn or played on these games. So I have asked this company to just find a way to change winning money into tickets but no luck so far

### 5/5 — Great app, high VIG

*2022-05-21, version 0.2.0*

Great app. Only qualm is that the VIG is too high. Normally the house charges a 10% VIG (bet $110 to win $100). But that tax is doubled here on the player. So for every $1 we the players spend, the app takes 20 cents and so your risking $1 to win 60 cents each game. Which makes the ideal of winning money over the long term pretty unrealistic unless your winning 7/10 of your games.

### 5/5 — Good fun

*2022-04-21, version 0.2.0*

Honestly have a lot of fun on this app, really tough questions and competition, plus you can make a few bucks on the side as well

### 5/5 — Good game

*2022-03-12, version 0.2.0*

It’s actually fun and interesting and not an obnoxious amount of ads! I’ve not played for money yet though so it will be interesting to see how that works!
