## What is Trivial Trivialities?

The party game night that lives around you, not the cloud.

Trivial Trivialities turns the devices you already own into a full game night. One person hosts, everyone else joins from their iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro — or gathers around the Apple TV. All games run on a spontaneous network: no accounts, no sign-ups, and no internet connection required. You don't need to be on the same network — just have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. Although being on the same network makes connecting more reliable.

SIX GAMES IN THE BOX

• TRIVIA — Nearly 12,000 questions across 13 subjects, from geography and science to the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.

• SKETCH — Draw it, guess it. Rotating artists, team play, and a word pool with themes for kids, grown-ups, holidays, and everything in between. Objections are settled the old-fashioned way: by the people in the room.

• BLUFF — A question with an answer almost nobody knows. Everyone secretly writes a convincing fake, the truth hides among them, and the room votes for what's real. Score for finding the truth — and for every friend who falls for your lie. Big parties take turns: a few write while the rest pick, then swap.

• SORT OF — Does it belong or doesn't it? Vote on the items that sit right on the edge of a category, then defend your answer to a skeptical jury.

• WOULD YOU RATHER — Impossible choices, no points, no winners. The split of the room IS the scoreboard. Dilemmas designed to start conversations.

• BRACKET — Tournament packs full of contenders worth fighting over. Everyone votes blind each round, and the room's true favorite emerges from fields of 8 to 64.

BUILT FOR THE LIVING ROOM (or CAMPSITE)

• KID MODE — Filters out some grown-up topics (nothing here is graphic, but still) and levels the playing field so kids can score right alongside the adults.
• TEAM UP — split the room into couches in the lobby, and every game's leaderboard tracks the team race across the whole night, on every screen including the TV
• Everyone plays on their own device — answers stay secret until the reveal
• Apple TV joins as a playable host: it runs the game on the big screen with stages, team boards, and callouts, while someone drives it from the couch. For Sketch and Bluff it's the stage — the drawing, the ballot, and the big reveal up where everyone can see
• Game archive keeps recent rounds (expire in 7 days unless saved) — replay the sketches as a slideshow, or relive every Bluff reveal, after the game
• 19 GAME CENTER ACHIEVEMENTS to chase — strictly opt-in, and off until you turn them on
• Unanimous "one more round" voting, because there's always one more round

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Everything happens on your local network between your devices. No accounts, no tracking, no servers. Your game night stays in the room where it happened. The one optional exception: if you turn on Game Center achievements, your progress syncs through Apple's Game Center. It's off by default.

Grab your devices. Someone's about to be wrong about geography.

Privacy you can verify.
Our apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, data brokers, or third-party service connections. We encourage every user to turn on Apple's App Privacy Report to see this for themselves.
To enable App Privacy Report on iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Privacy & Security > App Privacy Report > Turn On App Privacy Report. After you use the app for a while, iOS will show the network domains contacted by the app.
For our apps, expected network activity should be limited to Apple-operated services needed for normal App Store, iCloud, device, or system functionality — plus Game Center, only if you enable achievements.

We believe privacy claims should be inspectable, not merely promised.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-05

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.3

All devices

• New game: Bluff. A question with a difficult answer — players secretly write a convincing fake, the truth hides among them, and the room votes for what's real.

• Bluff is built for big parties: with four or more players, a few of you write each round while the rest pick — and the seats rotate, so everyone gets a turn to lie. Ships with a 154-prompt Grab Bag pack.

• Every Bluff night is saved as a keepsake in the lobby — the prompts, the truths, and who fell for what — with a share card for the group chat.

• A refreshed app icon.

• Trivia's default setup draws from the "Lived Knowledge" tier.

• Hosts of big games can lock the lobby right from the join-code card, on every device.

• Reduce Motion now stops the pulsing tiles and blinking indicators.

• All devices will need to update to 1.3 to play together — older versions can't join a 1.3 game; although older versions still work with each other.

Apple TV

• New full-screen Standings board — select Players or Leaderboard title to see the whole party: points overall and by game, games played, and trivia answer speed. Even players who've left stay on the board.

• Tabs rank everyone by each game — All, Trivia, Sketch, and the rest.

• Checking standings mid-game politely pauses between questions.

• The TV hosts and watches Bluff, just like Sketch: the prompt, the ballot, and the big reveal play on the big screen while everyone types on their phones.

• The home screen shows all six games in a grid.

• Improved UX/UI with selection of buttons.

• More screen for the game: slimmer borders on every stage.

• Smoother navigation.

iPad and Mac

• The session sidebar scales with the window, so wide windows get a roomier scoreboard and rail.

• Welcome-screen tiles sit two across on wide screens.

• On Mac, trophy and standings sheets get a Done button, and trivia explanations show inline under the results.

Apple Vision Pro

• A dedicated Vision Pro pass: a larger launch window, gaze-sized targets for chips and lock-in buttons, flat surfaces that sit right on the glass, Done buttons on every sheet, and page-style onboarding.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-02

Party & scoring

• Team points survive between games. Team totals now fold into the session record, so the lobby's roster and Teams card show running points pills for the whole game night instead of resetting to zero every time you return to the lobby.

Apple Vision Pro (sold separately)
• Buttons and tiles now highlight in their true shape when you look at them. The highlight now traces the exact outline the tile draws, matching corner radius and corner style.
• Tiles that can't be tapped stay quiet — a revealed answer, a locked-in vote, or a spectator's board no longer lights up on gaze and invites a tap that does nothing.

Mac
• First-launch onboarding actually appears; macOS was silently dropping the welcome sheet on a fresh install.
• The game carousel glides smoothly instead of stuttering/snapping (programmatic scroll animation doesn't work on macOS; it now drives AppKit directly).

All platforms
• A denied Local Network permission says so in plain words with the Settings path, instead of showing a raw error code.
• Hover feedback everywhere for pointer and Vision Pro users.
• Minor: the Resume-game tile was rebuilt.
