You can book on the troon online site, but what’s the point of having an app? It loads to external Troon site, but when trying to tap on the specific regional 2/4some card nothing happens. I assume the pop up window that’s supposed to open is being blocked (whether or not I have block pop ups setting on/off in Safari) When trying to find non-Troon card holder tee times within the app for Troon North course, the results for availability does NOT match with availability of times when going directly to the Troon website! Tried this many times, it’s way off. No confidence in using the app for booking tee times. **Developer response:** Thank you for your recent review of our new app. In our continuous effort of trying to create the best possible golf app, we are focused on ensuring all connections between Troon and our programs are as seamless as possible. As this new app was being developed, we wanted to get many of the top functionalities out to the market as fast as possible, meaning Troon Card tee-times were sent back to Troon.com where we know it worked to perfection. It is our goal, in the immediate future, to add this functionality in a seamless and organic setting. Also, spell check the email “The New Tron App is Here”? Come on man! Also can’t sort your search so checking tee times through the entire list instead of sorting by country, state and city wasn’t available. Only alphabetically. Nice try, maybe time for a mulligan! ### 1/5 — Crashes and super buggy, who designed this? *2021-06-17, version 1.0.12* Can we get an app that works please? ### 1/5 — POOR APP *2021-06-11, version 1.0.11* This is the worst app I have downloaded. I am a Troon member and downloaded the app after seeing in the last email from Troon that it was updated. I have forgotten my password and when I ask for a reset to be sent to my email, the app just shuts down! I then just tried to send feedback via the App Store and the feedback form assumes that I am resident in the US so I cannot send the form because my phone number does not conform. Come on, people, there is actually a world outside the US! You need to make yourselves inclusive. I have played many times at Troon courses but not once in the US. And fix your stupid app once and for ALL!!!! ### 1/5 — Crashes *2021-05-24, version 1.0.8* App doesn’t work, crashes at sign in. Crashes on sign-in ### 1/5 — Not a good experience *2021-05-19, version 1.0.8* I tried to add the Troon Rewards card to my apple wallet following the instructions in the email. Then I downloaded the app and I have yet been able to access the mobile app. Please fix this experience so I can book tee times and enjoy access without having to go to the website. **Developer response:** Hi Cannon38, thank you for reporting this issue and I’m sorry that the instructions were wrong in the email. Adding cards to Apple Wallet was a feature that was only available in the old version of the Troon mobile app, that has not yet been added to the latest version of our new app. The team here is already working hard on adding this feature back to the new app so that you can enjoy having your Troon rewards card in your Apple Wallet once more. In the meantime, can you please consider updating your review to include the assumption that this feature is still in development? Perhaps leave a review about other areas of the mobile app that have already been provided. When booking it takes you out of app. When trying to find courses to golf at you need to google courses that Troon owns since you cannot type in a city and have it recommend courses. ### 1/5 — Sorry *2023-09-01* This app is useless. My local course doesn’t show. Hard to book tee times. Crashes. I have nothing positive to say. I’m sorry Troon. ### 1/5 — Pathetic *2023-07-10* Pretty sure that you can build an app that accommodates the screen size of the phone. It’s hard to use an app where the sign up screen doesn’t scroll down to show the “activate” or whatever button after entering your info and desired password. Try it on an Apple SE. You will see what I mean. ### 1/5 — Hard to Use, Like a miniature web page *2023-05-19* It’s hard to imagine that a company like Troon can’t merge both apps into one seamless and easy flowing application. Every time I move from the Troon Mobile App, it closes and I have to log back in via email and password. I always get the notification that my info is incorrect, in spite of that the app opens. I have to search around to find my number. The issues are endless… Hard to use, very clumsy. ### 1/5 — Worthless App *2023-01-24, version 1.0.16* Troon should throttle whoever developed this app for them! This app is garbage and not even mobile friendly! Completely Useless App!! I’m a Troon Prive’ member. I thought that this would be the way to utilize my membership, but boy I was completely Wrong!!! Keyboard locks onscreen and cannot even get to zip code field to sign up. ### 1/5 — Password reset functionality doesn’t work *2022-06-10, version 1.0.16* Troon sent me a rewards email, so they have my correct email address. However, when I attempt to reset my password using that same email address, the Troon app fails to send me a password reset email. Weak. ### 1/5 — What is it good for?? *2022-05-30, version 1.0.16* I don’t understand the purpose of this app. Simply shows the points I have available and an ad for joining the rewards plus program. My local courses do not show up at all for booking tee times, score cards, gps information, etc. I go directly through the golf course. So again…what’s the purpose of this app?? I will also be manually keeping track of my points because I have no idea if this app is tracking them properly. ### 1/5 — Track points *2022-01-23, version 1.0.16* Troon points are great but, there needs to be a way to track your “points” history. I enjoy the features that are newer like GPS on the driving range!!! First I have ever seen that.
