Why clicks? *2022-12-13* I really like this synthesizer with its fat bass and almost unlimited possibilities. Аnd I also bought all the additional packages with presets. But what about the sound? There are constant clicks all the time, as if an old record is playing and sometimes a needle is jumping on it. This of course has its own charm, but sometimes I would like to do without it, I would like to enjoy a clear sound without these clicks. Is there anything you can do about it? Or is this the way it should be? Your other two amazing synthesizers Kauldron and Magellan2 unfortunately have the same sound problems. Всё время какие-то постоянные щелчки, как будто играет старая пластинка и иногда на ней прыгает иголка. I have them all! Can you please tell me what I am missing Thank you for repairing the Bluetooth Headphones. They work flawlessly. While I was waiting for this to be available, I played this synth on my Kronos 2. Wow!! This synth has some real analog flavor and the presets are outstanding. I think this is your best synth, although, I would give all of them 5 stars. Use this as as a VST instrument, and it provides more sound than most of my Mac VST synthesizers. What a bargain versus the DAW VST instruments. Comparisons to what a Kronos 2 has is quite a compliment, but deserving! Well done & thank you for the update. **Developer response:** Hello! Warm, immersive sound that will instantly transport you to that visceral knob twisting paradise. Instant buy! ### 5/5 — Trooper synth by Yonac *2022-09-25* Another solid soft synth that will be a classic in the near feature and great for live performances, soundscapes, movie scores. Check out Galileo and Galileo 2 synth, two very versatile and well designed soft synths for all genre of organ related music 60s to present! I recommend these soft synths to add to your arsenal to fit any style of music you want to play. All we need from Yonac is a Rhodes electric piano preset. ### 5/5 — Terrible name *2022-09-24, version 1.0* “Trouper” might make sense for an easy-to-use instrument. This way makes no discernible sense. Still, because of the past performance of the developer, I bought the thing. As expected, it sounds great. It needs more modulation options (and there is room in the UI for a few more without significant changes to the look and feel). But what it does, it does very well. I do hate the name enough that I would not have bought this app were it offered by a new developer. If you can abide the name, this is a first-rate quick-result synth from a developer with several great instruments available. ### 5/5 — Solid! *2022-09-22* Another solid synth app. Great work! ### 5/5 — The Best of Yonac *2022-09-22* Monstrous sounds, excellent gui, the usual swathes of usable presets- Yonac’s best synth to date. Get Magellan2 & Kauldron instead, both excellent. ### 2/5 — Does not work with Bluetooth headphones *2022-09-29* The app is easy to use and sounds good on its own, but I can’t use it because it doesn’t work with Bluetooth headphones, as soon as I open this app the sound gets routed back to the internal speakers. I wanted something I could use on the go or in bed to come up with musical ideas but I don’t want to bother people around me, so I cant use it as is. **Developer response:** Hello! Cheers! - The Yonac Team ### 3/5 — Near Perfect *2025-10-07* I miss the spawn function in Trooper. ### 3/5 — Great Rompler, but... *2023-01-07* I've not had this long so haven't even added the extra sound packs yet. However, most annoyingly, the audio output on the iPad Pro doesn't get sent via the iPad audio feed on BlueTooth. Every other synth app does in this iPad, except Trooper. This renders it useless as it has to connect without wiring feeds to the monitor amps. I wouldn't have purchased it if I knew this. It only plays to the iPad speakers. Grrrr. I'll keep it as a once-in-a-while synth I guess, as I did read that all of Yonac's apps don't feed to BT. Backward step that is as I'll not buy any further Yonac apps. I recall also reading that Yonac was notified about this BT issue and said it would be resolved. Three months later....... nope. Not done yet. But three stars for effort. ### 3/5 — Lots of hype… *2022-11-26* Not bad but not sure if it delivers … & the useful keyboard scroll/resize option that was standard on most yonac apps has been removed for some bizarre top menu option… This is coming from someone who has brought the majority of yonacs synth apps ### 3/5 — Magellan 2 lite version with reduced capabilities? *2022-10-28* I had higher hopes for this but ultimately chose the right of withdrawal, I feel like it’s a Magellan 2 lite with a moog like Gui, which I’m sure some people will love, but it’s the missing the best bits I like Mag 2 for. It is stable and quick to respond to controls, it just does little for me, if you find Yonac’s other apps difficult to coerce sounds out of but can work with Magellan, this one may not be for you. Some of his other apps get regular use from me, but sadly this one isn’t one of them. ### 3/5 — What Happened to the SPAWN option that set Yonac apart? *2022-09-26* I REALLY hated giving this app only 3 stars, but I feel the greatest asset to Yonac apps has been how each app has always packed a ton of solid features in an IOS app, one being the SPAWN ability! I am not sure why Yonac would not add MORE dynamics to the Spawn feature, (unless) the devs felt that it may cause users to “create” patches and not *BUY* the IAP’s? That would be the only reason I could imagine the guys at Yonac decided NOT to add this particular feature. I would LOVE to see this feature added back, as a person who spends HOURS in both Magellan and Magellan 2, SPAWN is a PERFECT jump off point in making some pretty amazing patches! With both mentioned apps, I have made some killer presets that I would have never ever been able to come up with using canned presets and using those patches as jumping off points. Spawn allows a user to explore new ways to pull off some incredible sounds that spark 100’s of new and fresh ideas that the user may NEVER have dreamed up otherwise! I have some patches that rival my Les Paul in crunchy Rhythms, and my Kramer SM1 in screaming leads… I have patches I created on Magellan 2 that mimic “Air Supply, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, The Cars, EL&P, and even Korn’s basses and Tools intros” by using SPAWN as my jump off point! Please add SPAWN to this synth, I feel that you would be doing an injustice to an amazing lineup of apps from Yonac! I feel that one day ‘our children’ will be calling these apps that are ground breaking classic synths like we now call analog Korg, or Moogs classics! Cheers! - The Yonac Team ### 4/5 — it’s a little underwhelming… *2024-12-29* I got this on sale but despite all the raving reviews I feel that the synth lacks in some basic aspects, like very limited modulation options, for example: you can only assign 3 fixed parameters to the modulation wheel, none of them is useful to me, I hate vibrato, audible LFO does almost nothing to me and why even envelope? …that is kinda weird; and nothing else? I want to assign my filter cutoff to the mod wheel… no can do… lol, also the presets are not that good and not many either. the synth sounds ok, juicy, but this modulation thing might be a real dealbreaker for me, sorry. If you fix the modulation issue and get some sound designers make some better factory presets and I can give five star rating, but not like this. ### 5/5 — Please bring this fantastic synth to macOS! *2026-05-21* One of the fattest sounding synths around.
