Importing recipes from websites is quick, and I especially like that I can keep cocktails recipes in the same place instead of needing a separate app. The cooking log is probably my favorite part, being able to leave a a rating and notes after making something has turned it into more of a personal cookbook than just another place to save recipes. Also really appreciate that my collection feels like my data and isn’t tied to an account or some recipe service. The ui is gorgeous and not overwhelming, the data hoarder in me loves the import functions and then all of the actual utility of the app is not hidden behind weird AI frontends. Using Trophikos has given me the same experience I had when I realized the best note taking apps would never beat a pen and paper, and that the gimmicky culinary apps out there that throw together AI recipes will keep you out of the kitchen. It has done wonders for me and my husband's kitchen adhd and we have finally started writing down family recipes in a place that feels like it respects our sensibilities!
