The tiny graphics are exacerbated by a strange decision to waste significant screen space with two vertical icon bars at each end of the screen. The inventory of items you are carrying suffers from the same issue, the icons are tiny so you have no idea what half the things are unless you can remember them all. There’s no text display to help you. The game has sound issues and the dialogue often cuts. Restarting the game sometimes fixes it. The humour mostly falls flat, it’s certainly no monkey island. The story is vaguely interesting enough to keep you interested, everything just seems poorly implemented compared to many much older games of this genre the developers could have learned from but for whatever reason didn’t. ### 3/5 — Tolles Design, technische Macken *2024-01-30, version 1.40* …ein wirklich schönes Spiel, wenn es denn mal laufen würde. Although the recorder habit is, in my opinion, a bit too much of a rip off ;) other than this, this adventure game has very little to offer: grotesque characters, mediocre plot, twisted logic for the riddles (some are even retarded: who was so bright to think that metal armor would isolate the main character to fix the broken, exposed electrical wires under voltage in it???) but there is little to no hurdle for the brain as mechanics of combining objects is dead simple on iPad (requires no thinking to solve 90% of the riddles). So long story short - good idea for the game, but a lot to learn in a proper adventure games creation craft. ### 5/5 — Nehme alles zurück und behaupte das Gegenteil ;) *2022-10-25* Nach anfänglichen Problemen, der Spielstand wurde nicht gespeichert, konnte der Support mir helfen und jetzt gehts. Dass man immer das jeweilige Kapitel zuende spielen muss, damits gespeichert wird, wusste ich nicht und es ist tatsächlich ziemlich nervig. Egal, denn das Spiel an sich ist super! Besonders das Setting, die gebauten Kulissen, sind der Hammer. Auch die Charakter Gestaltung ist wirklich toll. The dialogue is long and boring and annoyingly necessary to repeatedly engage with characters driven by what often seems like arbitrary mechanisms. In fact, it all feels a bit arbitrary with the gameplay operating several thousand feet below the quality of the graphics. Die Steuerung ist mäßig. Die Story kann nicht überzeugen. Das gesamte Spiel ist zäh. Viele Dinge sind unnötig in die Länge gezogen, damit wenigsten ein bisschen Spielzeit rumkommt. Denn was hier total verfehlt wurde und was mich am meisten enttäuscht hat, waren die Rätsel. Kombinationsmöglichkeiten werden nämlich vorgegeben. Da haben die Entwickler wohl den Sinn von Adventures gar nicht erst verstanden! Auch nicht schön: - Sinnlose Zeitschinder, wie die Kellertreppe oder der Aufstieg zum Baumhaus (mit der Steuerung und den Grafikfehlern eher unschön) - die Karte ist vollkommen nutzlos - Gegenstände im Inventar können nicht kombiniert und noch nicht mal angeschaut werden - Hans raucht zwar, sucht aber trotzdem nach Feuer zum Brauen - in Ritterrüstung scharfe Stromkabel miteinander zu verbinden ist nicht lustig, einem Fuchs einen Stromschlag zu verpassen auch nicht - wenn die Wirtin ein Telegramm schickt, sollte sie vllt auch so aussehen und nicht einfach weiter Gläser polieren - wo kommen egtl so plötzlich die ganzen Geräte für den Quantendiskriminator her und dann muss man noch 4 Sachen finden? - wenn man eine Birne pflückt, landet ein Apfel im Inventar … Allerdings hatte ich keine Probleme damit, dass das Spiel abstürzt oder nicht speichert. Trotzdem: Das Spiel ist sein Geld nicht wehrt und sollte sich nicht „Adventure“ nennen. Die Rätsel sind zu einfach, die Story ist voller Lücken und die Charaktere sind witz- und charmlos. Vergognatevi. ### 1/5 — Beware - disappointment ahead *2022-03-23* There’s a lot to like in this game - clever visuals, cunning puzzles, a genuinely oddball sense of humor - but it very clearly isn’t ready for wide release, which is embarrassing given how long it’s been on the market. I agree with other reviewers about the amateurish localization. The English version definitely needs a thorough proofread for basic spelling & grammar. There’s also a general bugginess that would be frustrating enough were it not for other issues. More serious problems turn up the deeper a player moves into the game. Playable objects (some of them crucial to completing puzzles) are missing tags, leaving players in limbo or sending them off in search of a walkthrough. Then there’s the ever-tedious issue of forcing players to repeat conversations in hope of uncovering a nugget of useful information. Much of the humor pales on the third pass, and the conversation interactions themselves are poorly engineered. The biggest problem (for me, anyway) is a bug in Chapter 3 that presents an insoluble roadblock. Even though I’ve played the section correctly (I’ve checked several walkthroughs) an essential interaction does not work, so I’m stranded without recourse. (Playing on iPad Mini 2021, btw.) Don’t bother reaching out to support: nobody’s home. So, one star for the clever bits & overall ambition. I love the silly story, but the game I’d unplayable. ### 1/5 — Nuda v Truberbrooku *2021-05-19, version 1.40* - Pokud máte rádi chytré, vtipné a graficky zajímavé adventury, tak se raději poohlédněte po jiné hře. - Špatná kvalita grafiky a animací ala přelom milénia (devadesátky:) se spoustou chyb a nemožností např. zoomovat scény, abyste vůbec poznali, co je co. - Nudný nebo chce-li téměř žádný příběh s ještě nudnější koncem nebo “ zápletkou” (nevím jak přišli autoři na popis hry, za mě je to úplný opak). - Nelogičnost úkolů např. budete potřebovat nářadí, které naleznete někde ve hře, ale nebudete ho moci sebrat, natož využít tzn. budete mít v inventáři spoustu věcí, které můžete využít pouze v konkrétní scéně, až vám vám to hra dovolí a nabídne z inventáře za vás. - Některé nudné a zdlouhavé dialogy nebo animace, které bude muset protrpět po uložení a znovunačtení hry. - Délka hraní, nebo častěji šíleného chaotického klikání na všechno možné, vám zabere cca 6 hodin. - Žádný humor a minimální řešení logických hádanek (u některých jsem vůbec nepochopil logiku). - Za mě velké zklamání a vývojářům bych rád vzkázal: „dělejte raději něco jiného, třeba bavorské vdolky;)“ + České titulky. + Už jsem koupil horší hry :D ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Genialna! *2025-12-11, version 1.40* Świetna historia, fajne zagadki. The characters are surprisingly endearing, all very individual and each one very engaging in their own way. Whole game - story, graphics, colours, actors voices : everything about it was a delight and I felt sad at the end to leave the characters. ### 5/5 — A classic gem of a game *2025-03-07* Having migrated from PSone to PC puzzle adventure games back in the day, I somehow missed this little beauty until I spotted it in the App Store. It has beautiful graphics, a solid story and the character voicing is superb (with plenty of in jokes and some adult innuendo). I did have to resort to a walkthrough about halfway through, and tbh the actions to gain “achievements” are a bit superfluous to this version, but I was completely hooked and think it a great shame that there doesn’t appear to be other games of this calibre by the devs. Don’t miss watching through the credits; yes they’re long so it’s about ten minutes in, for a rather poignant cut scene to wrap the story up. Played on a 2022 iPad Air without any issues. ### 5/5 — Beautiful point and click *2025-02-12* Don’t miss out on this - all the 1 star reviews are from four years ago when folks weren’t checking their iPad was powerful enough to play. So check that, download and enjoy. It’s a lovely, gentle, immersive point and click. Cheerful graphics and unique styling, and a much-welcomed contrast to the glut of horror games that seem to be the trend for the classic adventure puzzles at the moment. I found this relaxing, the controls were well thought out, and I liked the characters, especially Trude! I’d been put off for a long time because of the reviews, then I finally bought it and I’m so glad I did!
