### 4/5 — Weird

*2026-09-04, version 6.32*

For about a month now, the board changes direction in the middle of a game. Speed slows down automatically even when it’s set for fast bi was so frustrated today that I deleted the game even though I paid for a no- ad cost

### 3/5 — Too many doubles in favour of the computer

*2026-08-11, version 6.31*

I have played this game for years now and generally love it. However, the computer throws so many doubles, sometimes 3 on a row, enabling its counters to move freely around the board. The odds of so many doubles for one player are unrealistic. When this happens I just abandon the match in frustration and that happens A LOT. Reduce the number of doubles to a realistic number and you will give the player a much better experience.

### 3/5 — Fixed Big Time

*2026-07-23, version 6.30*

You don’t need Penn & Teller to let you know how a game is rigged.

The patterns are obvious, especially the frequent “Great Escapes”, and end-game turnarounds. My favourite though is when the computer rolls two dice that correspond to both possible places for a blot to occur. Or when you roll 15+ times without getting a four on greater on one die.

I notice network play is noticeably random, no problem.

What I see happening is the computer is a poor player and too often would not win without a dramatic turnaround two rolls before reaching home, and these games are way too frequent. I don’t know and I don’t care how they fix the list of rolls retroactively — but it is probably much less trouble than designing game skills

### 2/5 — Better than some

*2026-05-21, version 6.25*

I have played many different ones, the issue I have is the AI ‘random’ dice. It is not in favour of the player or the AI just that it generates ridiculous dice patterns. Eg I had the same dice as the AI for 6 throws or I had 4x dbl 3 and the Ai had 6x dbl 3 in the same game. It almost always generates highly improbable sequences that just don’t happen with real dice. You can say that all outcomes have the same probability but with real dice you dont throw dbl1,dbl2,dbl3,dbl4 in a row. Statistically this is almost never going to happen. So it is frustrating to play.

### 2/5 — Decent - but….

*2026-05-14, version 6.25*

So I play this game often, and over many years. I should have already switched. But I haven’t. Why? laziness and convenience. However I’m going to download another version? My reason? The app will go on incredibly impossible runs over and over again to the users detriment. The probabilities simply aren’t accurate.

Example: often I’ll take a safe risk after calculating probabilities; i.e., “this is a safe move and it shouldn’t backfire, as the only way this hurts me is if the computer hits a 1 and a 6 on their next roll (1/18 chance).”… only to see that roll happen on the apps next roll, when it would help the app the most. “Ok, sure that happens sometimes”, I think to myself.. My next roll I need an outcome that should have a 50% (or more) hit rate and miss it. Again and again, while the app seems to land the perfect needed roll on its next 5 turns. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t happening time and time again, making it obvious that the app seems to have an “auto screw-you” mode enabled; which legitimately just becomes anger inducing.

Surely there are more realistic versions than this. If this is really how probabilities worked, casinos would go broke.

### 4/5 — By far the best but

*2026-04-10, version 6.25*

Best looking boards, the tutor and the stats it shares are great. Vs ai is the best i tried but at highest dificulty its the same bs as all other apps. When it wants it just rolls a lit fatality and u see it comming a mile away. It does have the option for u to roll manual dice which is great. The part that needs more improvement is multiplayer and ranking system

### 2/5 — Not random

*2026-03-27, version 6.25*

Bought this as it allegedly uses random dice rolls. It is absolutely NOT random dice. If it is I should play the lottery. Just junk game.

### 2/5 — CHEATS!

*2026-02-20, version 6.23*

Play thousands of games and you’ll see a pattern of the computer constantly rolling doubles and always getting the impossible roll to kill your game. After you have it pinned and there’s only one combination that could work, miraculously it gets it. That is followed, more often than not by keeping the player from getting any realistic rolls until it wipes you out. I don’t care how great my opponent is, odds are odds and constant one sided winning dice rolls for 80, 100 games all virtually in a row, do not happen in reason life.

### 3/5 — I quit

*2026-02-09, version 6.23*

Started this app to learn the rules and strategy. I learned the rules but not the strategy because it is not random. No sense arguing with the author since he claims it is perfect in every way. Maybe I’m just to stupid but I have played enough games to understand the amazing luck of the computer is not random. Thanks for the lesson.

### 3/5 — Updating downgrading

*2026-02-02, version 6.23*

Bought this and initially gave it a great review without much play. Love the UI. As I play more games, it is extremely clear that the developers either intentionally or otherwise did not dev for true random roles. It wins virtually every game by having exactly the almost impossible roles it needs. Will treat this as a backup.

### 1/5 — Computer Bias

*2026-02-02, version 6.23*

I agree with Chestd review completely: I have endured exactly the same behaviour consistently….. after falling for so called independent reviews searching for a non- cheating App. The throws are just too consistently good for the computer and bad for the player: especially getting back off the bar. Example: recently with 4 then 3 spaces available I took 8 throws to get only 1 piece off…. The odds of that are just too high for it to be random. The developer can protest as much as they like: the evidence is there consistently.

### 1/5 — Dice are a joke!

*2026-01-26, version 6.23*

I literally just finished a game where the computer got 4 high double rolls in a row! Don’t listen to the reviews that say this is the fairest backgammon app. It may be one of the most unfair of those I have tried.

### 1/5 — Money Trap!!

*2026-01-25, version 6.23*

Game engine, tutor, boards, etc. all require individual in game purchases after you purchase the game.

### 2/5 — Unconvinced the rolls are random

*2026-01-24, version 6.23*

I think this game consistently rolls the only possible combination for the best outcome for it to win.

I have seen multiple (at least 6) games in a row where my beginning roll is a 2 and 1 or something similar. The point being the odds do not support that.

It consistently rolls higher combination, I can go almost an entire game without a 6.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Game so rigged.

*2026-09-03, version 6.32*

Allows you to win 2 games and then not the third. So obviously and badly rigged

### 1/5 — DICE BROKEN

*2026-08-21, version 6.31*

Got 5 and a 1 ten times in a row, but I am sure you will say game is ok.

### 1/5 — TRULY FIXED

*2026-07-12*

This game is clearly fuxed

**Developer response:** You can prove for yourself, that the dice are not rigged by (1) looking at the dice list beforehand (right menu, click on the small dice icon) to prove that the dice do not change during a game, and by (2) writing down a game and playing that game again, with the same dice as before, but entered as manual dice. The game will be exactly the same. So cheating is simply not possible, otherwise one of these two tests would fail.

### 1/5 — Creep that created this is a dick

*2026-05-23, version 6.25*

Pathetic beyond belief. So rigged.

### 1/5 — Rigged Dice

*2026-05-01, version 6.25*

I was hoping this was going to be a good app that used genuine random dice rolls…but it’s not. The bot will try to make the game challenging - sometimes in your favor. I can call the rolls the bot will get. Also, sometimes when you get the bot cornered, it will give you the one roll that exposes your checkers. The game is fun but definitely not fair.

I received your response to my review. That’s a ridiculous response. Im not saying the dice do not change during the game. What I’m saying is the app looks at the scenario of the placement of the checkers and adjusts the dice results to what the game desires. Of course if I played the game again and manually had the dice roll what was done in the previous game the outcome would be the same. To think the results would be different is insane!

My point is the game has logic that rigs the dice roll to be what the programmer has predetermined. If they want the game to be more “exciting”, they will have the dice roll what one entity needs to keep the game exciting.

What a pitiful response you guys provided. You didn’t address the main issue I mentioned. So, here is the question, does your app have code that looks at the position of the checkers to determine the dice rolls or is the roll absolutely random?

I’m interested to hear your reply…..

### 1/5 — Fix the dice rolls

*2026-04-19, version 6.25*

The dice rolls are definitely not random. Often multiple same double or multiple 2-1 in certain situations. Odds extremely against this happening.

### 1/5 — Fixed

*2026-04-08, version 6.25*

I don’t care what the makers say, that you can prove that it is not fixed, but this game HAS to be rigged. The opponent ALWAYS GETS the roll it needs to capture. It gets doubles over and over again, and I get nothing. There is no way this is random.

### 1/5 — Unfair

*2026-02-21, version 6.23*

The Ai gives itself endless doubles while I get ones and twos. I like a good HONEST game, this sucks

### 1/5 — Computer Bias

*2026-02-08, version 6.23*

I agree with Chestd review completely: I have endured exactly the same behaviour consistently….. after falling for so called independent reviews searching for a non- cheating App. The throws are just too consistently good for the computer and bad for the player: especially getting back off the bar. Had the same response from the developer: since I wrote my first review it has actually got worse where I can predict virtually what is going to be thrown for me and for the computer given a particular situation.

I have deleted the app and continue my search for a fair backgammon game.

### 1/5 — AI dice rolls ?????

*2026-02-06, version 6.23*

Great UI for sure.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best backgammon app on iOS

*2026-08-15, version 6.31*

Many good features in this app, it’s excellent. I never tire of playing, the computer is a fun and fair opponent. Best part is the developers don’t collect any data to resell. Thank you for being decent people. Also, no ads, ever. Truly for the love of backgammon.

### 5/5 — ChatGPT’nin birinci tercihi !

*2026-06-24, version 6.27*

ChatGPT’ye sordum. En iyi ve en kullanışlı tavla uygulamasının bu olduğunu belirtti. Denemediğim tavla uygulaması kalmamıştı diyebilirim. Hiç biri bunun eline su dökemez. Gerçekten mükemmel.

### 5/5 — Played for years - it’s the best so far

*2026-06-06, version 6.27*

Ignore every review that says computer bias. Some people just can’t play advanced level backgammon. The AI in the is clever and better than almost all the others but can still be beaten. Would say it’s about 55:45 to the AI on the highest level, which is about right. Game aids, game play and general UI is very intuitive and constantly improving. It’s smart, smooth and fast. Well done for making the best and beating the competition.

### 5/5 — Einfach spitze

*2026-06-01*

### 5/5 — A fair game

*2026-06-01, version 6.26*

this is my goto game. It always gives me about a 50/50 chance of winning and the dice rolls are good.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-03-15, version 6.25*

Excellent

### 5/5 — mega

*2026-01-05, version 6.23*

### 5/5 — Really helpful

*2025-12-11, version 6.23*

I can honestly say that this app has helped improve my game. I am so glad I upgraded to the tutor mode. Thank you! Maybe I can get my BMAB rating down a bit.

### 5/5 — Recommended!

*2025-11-06, version 6.23*

Really great app. With the Bg blitz engine and tutor installed, it's by far the best backgammon app available. Beautifully done -- highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Tolle App für den Preis

*2025-10-21, version 6.23*
