I have the original Granite on CD but haven’t been able to play it in years. I’ve been trying to find something that was even close to it for some time to no avail. Granite 3 is great and lives up to the original. Built by curlers. I curl 4 times a week and this is so realistic it’s scary. The do over button on the practice mode is very cool for practicing doubles, triples. On my wish list: (1) It would be nice if the non-throwing skip was able to sweep beyond the T-line or when their stone is bumped (2) An indication of how much curl there is on each setting - in feet. (3) Some additional info for the leaderboard such as weekly number of spots movement up/down. (4) A way to play a friend remotely - each person on their own device. (5) Have the middle arrow point down which would help beginners know that it is only to drag the rock further. (6) Ability to turn on people in the stands with fan reaction for good shots. (7) I didn’t realize you can select your Bot to challenge- a message would make it clearer. However, it is a GREAT APP, AS IS. I’ve noticed the update applied a few days ago. The application will no longer run on my machine. ### 1/5 — Avoid *2026-02-19, version 3.1a1* No instructions on how to play. Absolutely pointless ### 1/5 — A subscription!? *2026-02-17* Would have paid $10 for this, played it for a few weeks and been satisfied. But you’re banking on people just forgetting about it and taking that $8/year indefinitely. If you ever decide to sell this game, I’ll take a look. I’m not paying in perpetuity for a simple game. Do NOT get it the bots are so stupid they will aim for out and get it in the middle of the house and then when you sweep the rock goes the opposite way you try to sweep. Game is no longer fun ### 2/5 — Needs a lot of work *2026-02-22, version 3.2a* I understand the premise that you have to sweep to adjust the mistakes from your shooter. However, it just feels very unfair when the throw is so awful from your thrower that you simply cannot adjust it in time and end up losing. It makes it feel like a waste of time when there is an outcome which was out of your control. Especially if you lose it because of that on the final throw. Curling is also a sport which most people don’t understand, so guidance in relation to strategy is required against strong AI. Cutting away from the game at the end without displaying the score is also lazy developing. Through no fault of your own, it just seems to be random. This makes it impossible to play because your shots keep messing up. It was great but had some room for improvement. Since leaving that review, the dev has worked tirelessly on improving it and updating it. It is now, by far, one of the best curling simulators I have ever played (and on ipad no less). They have updated it at least a dozen times and it just keeps getting better and better. If you love curling, give this app a try! ORIGINAL REVIEW: This game is fantastic! The visuals are great, the sound effects are spot on, and the physics are the best I’ve seen. The only reason it didn’t get a 5/5 from me is that there is still definitely some room for improvement. For example, in my experience playing it, it did not enforce the no-tick rule (which I believe is the WCF standard at this point). I also wish that there was a better way to control the weight. I’m playing on a sizeable iPad, and still only a couple millimetres difference on the weight bar can be six to eight feet in the difference.
