I really enjoy it. It can be a bit of a pain for certain images as it requires a tripod for some shots. But it’s a lot of fun to play around with. Besides making hdr images, you can also mix unrelated images together for a cool effect. Hopefully the app has not been abandoned. ### 3/5 — The best app for amazing photos *2017-10-13, version 3.3* iPhone SE after saving photo to iphone then I attempted to rotate the photo and iPhone photo app crashes. Best photo app in the app store for HDR control and photo taking, though even after a reinstall it now just crashes over and over cant make a photo. Solution - I restated my iPhone4s with a hard restart (holding power and home button until rebooted). Now works again. I imagine it is a memory issue between ios and this app. ### 3/5 — Not so great anymore *2016-11-14, version 3.3* This used to be the best but other HDR apps have surpassed it. It does not use the iPhone and iPad 's burst feature to quickly take a bracket. Instead, it takes 3 pictures in about 3 seconds. It uses the first picture to estimate dynamic range, and merges the last two. Its alignment of the two images is surprisingly good, and it works fast. Final output is only 960x960. ### 4/5 — Pretty good, significant limit *2016-10-14, version 3.3* I bought this to compare with Pro HDR X. HDR apps have a problem with halos in areas of high contrast. It's ugly. You get what look like smudges in th sky and in other areas of flat color or tone. Based on sample pictures, I thought this app might do that less than Pro HDR X. It doesn't. It also doesn't create the range of exposure that Pro HDR X makes. True HDR uses only two exposures, versus three for Pro HDR X. There's not as much information to work with, so the range is narrower. On the plus side, True HDR is good at aligning images, something Pro HDR X has trouble with. This is valuable in low light, when exposures are longer and the combination of exposures happens over a longer period of time. True HDR also has more natural color, which may or may not be what you want. Pro HDR X pumps the color, so you get those gorgeous images with blue blue skies and green green trees and grass. It's a little much. True HDR is good for getting a wider range of exposure than a single shot, it aligns multiple images well, and it uses more natural color. If you want a wider range, try Pro HDR X and--if you don't like candy-store color--adjust the saturation down. ### 4/5 — Great Little App *2016-09-10, version 3.3* It makes the best, easiest, and quick HDR shots of any camera app I've seen. It only uses 2 source images and only a few attributes. Instagram does much better work. When I do nothing happens. Total scam. ### 1/5 — You can only merge two photos? *2020-07-06, version 3.3* There are 1 million HDR apps and the only reason I downloaded this one is because you can take bracketed photos you already took and merge them. When you try and select the third photo it says that you cannot select a third photo. And No Support! *2016-07-06, version 3.3* I have always loved TruHDR. But now, when I click Choose Pictures and then choose All Photos, I don't have access to my whole library. It's stuck on Albums and only a few pix are available. If TruHDR developers are reading this, can you please respond to my emails? Help me to use this (prior to this) wonderful app again! I will gladly rewrite my review! Thank you! ### 1/5 — Can't merge properly *2016-05-17, version 3.3* I scanned in the same transparency 3 times at different densities to merge together. I did this on a flat bed scanner. The 3 scans were EXACTLY in the same position, you would have to go out of your way to misalign them. Well this app did it! Every time. And also it only lets you merge 2 images together. I will be requesting my money back. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate merging *2016-05-13, version 3.3* Lots of ghosting when the photos merge. There needs to be an auto merge setting as well. Dropping to 1 star. I went out to take picture with this app exclusively. After I got out of the sun I notice the picture quality is crappy. I emailed the developer about this and no reply. Too bad, this was a great app once. Probably the best HDR app in the App Store at one point. But now not worth the MBs of space it's taking up on my phone. ### 2/5 — Major flaw ruins it *2016-08-07, version 3.3* This camera doesn't work hand held. Instead of using the camera's burst mode, there is a second or so lag between photos. Phone must be on tripod or resting on something to use it. Sure, it has some limitations, but for landscape photos, this will make your photos much more true-to life and beautiful, IMHO.
