## What is TrueAlt?

TrueAlt uses the methods described by the ICAO Doc 8168 to calculate the altimeter corrections required when flying in very cold temperatures below the International Standard Atmosphere Temperatures. The App menus and submenus are straight forward, designed for versatility and fast operation.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1 — 2026-07-29

To adapt better the purpose of the app, the name has been changed from LoTAC to TrueAlt. Apologies if still found references to the old name. We will clean this app for the next build.

### 2.0 — 2025-10-14

The release 2.0 is build for a better user experience. In the main tab there are now collapsible menus to focus on what is important. This version allows the user to create as many final approach segment crossing fixes as desired, as well as its graphical representation. In the Airport details submenu, it has been added a fetching METAR function. A new tab for atmosphere properties in accordance with ISA ( International Standard Atmosphere) has beed added for reference. In the more info tab, it has been added a submenu for a better understanding of what the app is doing. In the Snowtam tab, the decoder for the EUR Rodex has been optimised.
