## What is Truefold?

Truefold is a private vault for the documents that run your life — passports, licenses, national IDs, bank details, payment cards, visas, insurance, and certificates — built for the moment you need a number fast.

FIND IT IN SECONDS
Search across titles, holders, types, countries, and field values as you type. Filter any list by person, country, type, or status, star your favorites, and copy any field with one tap — at the counter, at the border, on the phone with your bank.

SCAN IT, DON’T TYPE IT
Photograph the photo page of a passport, a national ID, a residence permit, a visa, or the back of a US or Canadian driver licence, and Truefold reads what it can and fills the fields in. Photograph a credit, debit, or travel card and it fills in the number. Every bit of it happens on your iPhone — nothing is uploaded, nothing is sent for recognition, and nothing is saved until you have looked at it. Anything you typed yourself is never overwritten, and if a document looks like it came from a different country than the one you chose, Truefold asks instead of guessing.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no account to create and no server of ours holding your data. Truefold contains no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. The app unlocks with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, and sensitive values — ID numbers, card numbers, document scans, private notes — are encrypted on your iPhone before they are ever stored or synced.

YOUR OWN iCLOUD
Your vault syncs through your personal iCloud, so it appears on all your iPhones automatically and restores by itself on a new one. Encryption keys travel only through your iCloud Keychain, between your own devices. Everything works offline — your documents are on your phone, not behind an internet connection.

EVERY DOCUMENT IN ONE PLACE
IDs, bank accounts, payment cards, travel documents, work and education records, health and insurance, property and assets, finance paperwork, and personal certificates. Capture with the camera and its automatic edge detection, or import from Photos and Files. Cards keep front and back images; records keep attachments you can preview, zoom, and share.

SCAN A DOCUMENT, SKIP THE TYPING
Add a photo of a passport, national ID, residence permit, visa, US or Canadian driver licence or boarding pass, and Truefold fills in what it can read. Add a photo of a credit, debit or travel card and it fills in the card number. Everything is read on your iPhone, nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is saved until you review it. Anything you have typed yourself is never overwritten, and if a document looks like it is from a different country than the one you chose, Truefold asks instead of filling anything in.

ADDING A RECORD IS SHORTER
Three steps instead of four. Everything a record holds — its images, details, attachments, condition and notes — is now on one screen, so an attachment is no longer hidden a step further on. Editing is a single page: change a title without stepping through the record, and save from anywhere on it.

LOCK ON YOUR SCHEDULE
Settings › Lock After now offers 1, 5 or 15 minutes. The timer counts the time you spend away from Truefold, so a quick look at another app never locks you out mid-entry.

TIDIER LISTS AND CARDS
Record lists fit more on screen, payment cards show their network and group their digits the familiar way, and the type picker understands the words you actually use — “loyalty card”, “driving licence”, “SSN” all find the right type, in every language.

FIXES
 - Typing a card expiry quickly could lose its last digit, saving 09/202 instead of 09/2029. Every digit now lands.
 - A new record holding only a subtitle or only notes could be swiped away and lost without warning.
 - A document image chosen through Files is now read like one chosen through Photos.

YOUR COUNTRY'S DOCUMENTS, BY NAME
Pick your country and the type list now leads with the documents you actually carry — Emirates ID, CPF, NRIC, MyKad, Codice Fiscale, PESEL, My Number Card and more than 160 others across 44 countries — each with the right identifier label and number format. Seventeen new record types as well, including Tax ID, Work Permit, Health Insurance Card, Vaccination Record, Student ID, Professional License, Tenancy Agreement and Membership Card. Your existing records are untouched.

TWELVE LANGUAGES
Truefold now follows your iPhone's language in Hindi, Nepali, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, alongside English. Country names and document field labels follow too, and records you saved earlier update automatically.

EASIER TO FIND A TYPE
The record type picker has a search field — pull down to find a type by name instead of scrolling. Picking a country no longer lists the same document twice.

SAFER WITH WHAT YOU COPY
Anything you copy now clears itself after 90 seconds, and locking Truefold clears it too — unless you have copied something else since, which is left alone.

FIXES
• On smaller iPhones the welcome screen's Continue button could sit below the bottom of the display with no way to reach it, so Truefold could not be set up at all. Fixed.
• Deleting a record can no longer destroy its documents when the deletion itself fails to save, and Delete All Data now tells you if it did not go through instead of showing an empty vault.
• Identifiers written with dots or slashes, like a Brazilian CPF or a Swiss AHV number, no longer show a false format warning.
• If another device adds records this version cannot read yet, Truefold says so plainly and offers to take you to the App Store, keeping the records safely until you update.
